Cal Cunningham’s Family Business Was a Top Polluter in North Carolina

Senate Dem candidate now campaigns as environmentalist

North Carolina Democrat Cal Cunningham's family business repeatedly ranked among the state's top polluters. The candidate now presents himself as an environmental champion in his bid to unseat Republican senator Thom Tillis (N.C.).

Cunningham was a shareholder in the now-defunct Cunningham Brick Company as recently as 2015, court documents obtained by the Washington Free Beacon show. According to emissions reports filed with the North Carolina Department of Environmental and Natural Resources, the company released at least 1,700 tons of carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxide, sulfur dioxide, and other harmful substances between 1993 and 2011, making it a major polluter in the state.

Cunningham has since placed environmental issues at the center of his campaign, railing against "longstanding" environmental disparities that disproportionately impact the state's "communities of color." But Cunningham Brick was ranked among the state's top 40 air polluters by the Environmental Protection Agency in 2009, having released more than 114,000 pounds of "toxic" emissions.

Cunningham and other shareholders acknowledged the company's environmental woes in a May 2015 court filing obtained by the Free Beacon. In the filing, Cunningham Brick noted that it was "aware of environmental issues" caused by "approximately 27,500 tons of contaminated soil" that "needed to be remediated" at a company plant in Thomasville, N.C. A subsequent filing noted that the cleanup effort would cost $400,000.

DHS, ICE announce arrests of more than 170 at-large aliens in sanctuary jurisdictions

WASHINGTON – The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced Thursday the conclusion of a week-long targeted enforcement operation that resulted in the apprehension of more than 170 at-large aliens throughout the U.S., where sanctuary policies have largely prohibited the cooperation of law enforcement agencies in the arrest of criminal aliens.

ICE officers assigned to field offices in Seattle, Denver, New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washington D.C. conducted the enforcement actions Oct. 3 through Oct. 9. The enforcement actions focused on aliens subject to removal who were arrested for crimes but were released by state or local law enforcement agencies despite having active immigration detainers in place. More than 80% percent of aliens arrested had criminal convictions or pending criminal charges at the time of arrest.

“Last fiscal year, 86 percent of people arrested by ICE had criminal convictions or pending charges. ICE focuses its resources on those who pose the greatest threat to public safety. The men and women of ICE put their lives on the line every day to keep these individuals off the streets,” said Acting DHS Secretary Chad F. Wolf. “The Department will continue to carry out lawful enforcement actions in order to keep our communities safe, regardless of whether or not we have cooperation from state and local officials. Politics will not come before safety when enforcing the law and keeping our citizens safe.”

“ICE continues to protect communities by taking criminal aliens off the streets regardless of any locality’s cooperation policies – which is part of our Congressionally mandated mission,” said ICE Senior Official Performing the Duties of the Director Tony H. Pham. “Officers and agents of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement are sworn federal law enforcement officers who enforce U.S. immigration laws created by Congress to keep this country safe.”

During these recent enforcement actions, ICE officers identified, targeted and arrested multiple criminal aliens who were previously released from local and state law enforcement custody despite having lawful immigration detainers lodged with local law enforcement officials. In the New York City area alone, officers arrested nearly 50 unlawfully present individuals with criminal histories that include sexual assault, sex crime, assault, robbery, larceny, family neglect and DUI.

ICE arrests 25 during week-long statewide sanctuary enforcement operation in Colorado

DENVER — Today U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced the conclusion to a week-long targeted enforcement operation that resulted in the apprehension of 25 at-large aliens in Colorado where sanctuary policies have largely prohibited the cooperation of law enforcement agencies in the arrest of criminal aliens.

ICE’s enforcement operation, which took place Oct. 5 – 9, targeted aliens subject to removal who were arrested for crimes but were released by state or local law enforcement agencies, despite having active immigration detainers in place.

“Local officials continue to let politics get in the way of public safety endangering the very people they say they are protecting,” said John Fabbricatore, field office director, Denver. “We’ve repeatedly sent our teams into the field to arrest criminals who should have rightfully been handed to us in the safe confines of a jail. Many of these individuals have assault charges and are dangerous to us and the community-at-large.”

Colorado law prohibits local and state agencies from cooperating with ICE, even in instances where illegal aliens have committed crimes.

During these recent enforcement actions, ICE officers identified, targeted and arrested many criminal aliens who were previously released from local and state law enforcement custody despite having lawful immigration detainers lodged with local law enforcement officials.

The declined detainers of aliens with criminal histories that include homicide, sexual assault, sex crimes involving children, assault, robbery, domestic violence and DUI.

Arrests made during this enforcement action included:

Ruben Manzo-Palma, 38, is a citizen of Mexico charged with strangulation and causing reckless injury, crimes he committed prior to being released from the Boulder County Jail May 26. He was granted two voluntary returns to Mexico in 2009.

Elmer Moreira-Esparza, 34, a citizen of Mexico was arrested for domestic violence in 2016 and 2018 and most recently for criminal impersonation. The El Paso County jail did not honor an ICE detainer and released him from custody Aug. 1, 2019. He was previously removed to Mexico April 26, and May 14, 2014 and granted seven voluntary returns to Mexico between 2002 and 2014.

Jose Silva-Jimenez, 29, is citizen of Mexico residing in Longmont, Colorado who was arrested by ICE Oct. 9. Silva was convicted of illegal reentry in 2018 and extradited to Boulder County to face additional charges. Boulder County released Silva on three separate occasions between 2018 and 2020; he was convicted Oct. 2, of felony menacing with a weapon, child abuse, and a violation of bail bond conditions and sentenced him two years of probation.

“How many victims will it take before common sense prevails and these criminals are handed to ICE so they can be returned to their home country,” said Fabbricatore. “We’ve already seen a city council member needlessly attacked by a criminal released by local police. Sadly, the violence will only continue so long as this misguided policy remains in place.”

Nationally, approximately 86% of ERO’s administrative arrests in FY2019, consisted of aliens with criminal convictions or pending criminal charges.

The total number of individuals arrested in the Denver area of responsibility which encompasses both Wyoming and Colorado is 34.

DHS, ICE announce arrests of 23 at-large aliens in sanctuary jurisdictions in the National Capital Region

Twenty-three arrests occurred in the National Capital Region, with 12 arrests in Maryland and 11 arrests in Virginia.

ICE officers assigned to field offices in Baltimore and Washington D.C. conducted the enforcement actions Oct. 3 through Oct. 9. The enforcement actions focused on aliens subject to removal who were arrested for crimes but were released by state or local law enforcement agencies despite having active immigration detainers in place. More than 90% percent of aliens arrested in the National Capital Region had criminal convictions or pending criminal charges at the time of arrest.

“Public safety is best served when law enforcement works together. When jurisdictions across the region choose not to honor lawful detainers and warrants, individuals are released into the community and may reoffend,” said Francisco Madrigal, acting Baltimore field office director. “Decisions made in one noncooperative jurisdiction impact communities in other parts of the region as offenders cross state lines. This is a regional public safety issue.”

“ICE’s mission has remained consistent — to enforce immigration laws passed by Congress. That means if we cannot gain custody of an individual through a safe transfer in a jail, we must pursue and arrest them at-large in the community, as we did during this operation,” said Matthew Munroe, acting Washington, D.C. field office director. “Working in cooperation with federal law enforcement is the safest and simplest way to pursue our shared public safety goals.”

During these recent enforcement actions, ICE officers identified, targeted and arrested multiple criminal aliens who were previously released from local and state law enforcement custody despite having lawful immigration detainers lodged with local law enforcement officials.

73% uptick in overdose deaths in 2020 so far in Ohio county: Coroner’s report

An Ohio county’s coroner’s office on Wednesday reported that it saw a disturbing 73.4% increase in overdose deaths during the first six months of 2020.

The Franklin County Coroner’s Office report states that it saw 437 individuals die from overdoses during the first half of this year, a 73.4% increase from last year. The Coroner’s office published the numbers in a press release as part of its preliminary report on 2020 overdose statistics.

The press release also detailed the numbers tied to various kinds of narcotics.

Most startling were the fentanyl figures. Fentanyl comprised the lion’s share of overdose deaths, making up 85.5% of all those so far in 2020, compared to 79% from the same six-month period in 2019. Heroin-related deaths increased to 5% of total drug fatalities this year compared to 2.5% last year.

The remaining data on drug-related fatalities shows that the victims were mostly males, 71% of them, while females made up only 29%.

Additionally, the 25-44 age group had the highest numbers of drug-related deaths and the victims were disproportionally African American, amounting to 27.4% of deaths. The group represents roughly 24% of the county’s population, according to June 2019 estimates by the U.S. Census Bureau.

This Franklin County report reflects the broader, ongoing opioid epidemic that has wreaked havoc in many communities across the nation. Moreover, the COVID-19 pandemic has caused a spike in drug use and overdoses, since millions of Americans have been confined to their homes for months on end. More than 40 states saw a jump in opioid fatalities this year, according to an October report by the American Medical Association.

It should be noted, however, that cannabis saw the largest portion of the increase in drug usage during the pandemic whereas party drug usage fell, according to a more internationally focused study by The Economist. While two out of five people they surveyed reported an increase in consuming cannabis, they found that the use of ecstasy, cocaine, and ketamine plummeted by 41%, 38%, and 34% respectively.

The Mysterious October 20th DOJ Targeting Memo Finally, Quietly, Released – Weissmann Made Rosenstein Take Ownership of Michael Flynn Targeting…

On June 3, 2020, former Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein appeared before the Senate Judiciary Committee to discuss his role in how Main Justice was operating while Andrew Weissmann’s special counsel was in charge. What he said in that hearing never quite made sense until yesterday.

Those who closely followed the arc of the Weissmann/Mueller investigation; and those who joined us in following that investigation; already knew the SCO was in complete control from May 2017 to April 2019. Everything taking place inside the DOJ in the two years of the Mueller/Weissmann probe was completely and unequivocally controlled by the Weissmann team. Few journalists have ever grasped the ramifications of that control.

That control included every release and non-release of information during their two year tenure. However, Rosenstein’s tone when questioned about the scope memos he authorized during the special counsel time-frame was very odd in that June hearing.

Rosenstein had a very guilty conscience and it was on full display as he attempted to justify his action. You see, there was always a missing scope memo from October 20, 2017, that no-one in the DOJ ever discussed. The nature of the scope memo was mentioned by Weissmann and Mueller in part of their Russia report; but until yesterday it was hidden.

Here is the only mention of the October 20, 2017, scope memo prior to yesterday:

Notice Andrew Weissmann gave Rod Rosenstein the option, literally the physical option line, to approve or deny the widely expanded scope of the special counsel authority.

In essence this approach forces Rosenstein, in material and documentary form, to take ownership of the outcomes of the special counsel…. OR create a written documentary form that could be used against Rosenstein (via media allies) if he did not agree to expand the scope and authority of the special counsel.

Considering the amount of praise AG Bill Barr heaped upon Rosenstein; which explains why the DOJ kept this scope memo buried; and considering the implications of this expanded SCO authority that was granted by Rosenstein; this explains the tone during the June hearing.

Trump administration has “sufficient” evidence against Obama administration officials over campaign espionage

President Donald Trump insinuated Oct. 8 that Attorney General William Barr has more than enough proof to indict members of former President Barack Obama’s administration for spying on the Trump campaign in 2016 – including Obama himself and former Vice President Joe Biden. Speaking to Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo, Trump said the Obama administration officials involved in the 2016 espionage “should be indicted” for their role in “the greatest political crime in the history of our country.”

Trump told Bartiromo the Department of Justice (DOJ) had “everything” that proved the link between Obama officials and the spying on his campaign. When the DOJ prepared additional evidence, the president told Barr that “we got plenty, you don’t need anymore.”

Among others, Trump mentioned a 78-page report made by former Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director James Comey instructing the bureau to “go get Trump.” Inspector General Michael Horowitz cited Comey’s report as evidence of illegal espionage and recommended prosecution.

The president warned that Barr’s reputation is on the line depending on his next move.

“Unless Barr indicts these people for their crimes … we’re going to get a little satisfaction,” he said. “To be honest, Barr’s gonna go down either as the greatest attorney general in the history of the country or he’s gonna go down as a very sad, sad, situation.”

Trump added that the Justice Department head already had “all the information he needs” – which means that he no longer has any excuse not to prosecute anyone involved in the spying. (Related: Trump gives Barr ultimatum: Arrest Obama, Biden and Clinton or find yourself in a ‘sad situation.’)

Barr has told top Republicans in private that the results of the DOJ’s criminal investigation into the origins of the FBI probe, dubbed Crossfire Hurricane, will not be released before the election. The DOJ investigation on Crossfire Hurricane led by U.S. Attorney John Durham commenced last year, and has resulted in one indictment as of writing.

Declassified documents reveal Hillary Clinton’s connection to Crossfire Hurricane

Trump resumed his presidential duties as soon as he was discharged from Walter Reed National Military Medical Center Oct. 6 following a short bout of COVID-19. A day before, he requested White House chief of staff Mark Meadows to start declassifying more documents of the Obama administration’s espionage – following some of the requests that California Rep. Devin Nunes and others have made.

Gilead Disputes WHO Data Confirming COVID-19 Drug Remdesivir Is A "Flop"

Since the WHO publicized its finding that Gilead's overhyped remdesivir treatment, which was "repurposed" by the company after initially being developed to treat Ebola, the pharmaceutical company has been pushing back, trying to cast what many scientists - including former FDA head Dr. Scott Gottlieb - have described as "high quality" trial data in a negative light.

Gilead claimed that the WHO's data were "inconsistent" with earlier studies that found the drug could potentially reduce the length of hospital stays. These data were widely touted by Gilead, which had planned to charge $3,000 for a course of the drug before "science" got in the way. In fact, as the FT effectively pointed out at the time, the company appeared to be whitewashing data being shared with the public, while the FT reported early trial data showing the drug was a "flop".

That Gilead believes it can fool the public and regulators with this argument despite the WHO data is hardly surprising. Early data shared by the company were apparently convincing enough to fool Dr. Fauci, who claimed that data shared by the company showed the drug's impact was "statistically significant."

Here's more from Reuters.

Gilead Sciences Inc., the U.S. company that developed the drug, said the findings appeared inconsistent with evidence from other studies validating the clinical benefit of remdesivir, which was used to treat U.S. President Donald Trump’s coronavirus infection.

"We are concerned the data from this open-label global trial has not undergone the rigorous review required to allow for constructive scientific discussion,” Gilead said.

Richard Peto, an independent statistician hired by the WHO to 'kick the tires' of its study data, dismissed Gilead's criticisms of the Solidarity trial data.

"It’s a reliable result, don’t let anybody tell you otherwise, because they’ll try to,” Peto told reporters. “This is real world evidence."

The massive international study also found that three other potential therapeutics had no impact on mortality in seriously ill COVID-19 patients, though trials on hydroxychloroquine and an HIV treatment were abandoned earlier this year.

Gilead claims that other smaller trial data showed the drug reduced recovery time by 5 days and even helped reduce mortality in patients needing oxygen. However, if these effects were real, then why didn't they surface in the WHO trial?

The company didn't have an explanation for this - or at least it wasn't included in the Reuters story - and Peto, a professor emeritus at Oxford, said the results of those studies could have been mere "chance," explaining that trials with "large numbers" of test subjects - more than 11,000 patients participated in the WHO trial - are the only way to achieve reliable data.

“The real disappointment is that remdesivir has also failed in a larger number of cases and in the ‘real world setting’,” Clemens Wendtner, Chief Physician of Infectiology and Tropical Medicine at Munich’s Schwabing Clinic, said. “A major clinical breakthrough looks different and warns us that the battle against COVID-19 is far from won.”

Not that any of this is all that surprising. From the beginning, "experts" like Dr. Fauci expressed optimism about remdesivir, despite the paucity of clinical rial data. This view led to Gilead striking several lucrative deals with governments - deals that will most likely now be abandoned - to sell what many decried as an overpriced drug.

Earlier, former FDA Director Dr. Scott Gottlieb reminded viewers that President Trump was administered a full course of the drug during his battle with COVID-19, but added that it would be impossible to determine whether the drug actually benefited the president.

Even one scientist who agreed that drug could benefit from more scrutiny told Reuters that the WHO's results are clear: Remdesivir is "no panacea".

"I Don't Really Trust Them": 2,000 Robinhood Accounts Hacked, Some Had Funds Siphoned To External Accounts

Almost 2,000 Robinhood accounts have been compromised by hackers who stole users funds, according to a person with knowledge of an internal review that took place at the company.

Days ago we published a story about Robinhood users who had seen their accounts looted and were at their wits' end with the company's customer service. Many affected claimed they were unable to contact anyone at the company after logging into their accounts and seeing their funds siphoned to external accounts. Robinhood claimed it was only “a limited number” of accounts that had been affected.

Now, Bloomberg notes that these users weren't just one-offs, but rather part of a larger group of customers who had been compromised. Some users said they saw no signs of hacking and had two-factor authentication enabled on their phones for extra protection.

One user, Miah Brittany Laino, said that two factor stopped one person from accessing her account on September 13 and then, after following Robinhood's suggestion to change her password, her account was still hacked. The next morning she woke up to a nightmarish barrage of messages: “It said ‘This stock sold. This stock sold. This stock sold.’ It’s like if you wake up at 4

a.m. and your house is on fire.”

She said she received no response from the company and was unable to find a customer service phone number. She got a call from Robinhood on September 25, she said, informing her someone had created a fake ID under her name to re-activate her account, which had already been locked down for security reasons.

Robinhood eventually restored her money and her stock, but she says she will likely leave the brokerage: “I don’t want to sell right now. But I’m not going to put any more money into it. I don’t really trust them.”

Another customer, Robert Riachi, says his account is still "in limbo". He told Bloomberg that "thousands of dollars" had gone missing from his account and that the company has assigned him 10 different case numbers, even after submitting his ID to try and straighten out the issue. He had four years of savings in his account and says he will move to Schwab when he gets his money back.

“I feel like my money could be put somewhere else, somewhere that has a human person that I can talk to. It’s kind of ridiculous that an investment app that’s handling people’s livelihoods, people’s money, has the audacity to make people wait several weeks to hear back anything,” he said.

Bill Hurley, who lost $5,000 from the same type of hack, simply said last week that Robinhood has "had more than enough time to deal with this".

CENSORSHIP: Stephanopoulos, BIG TECH, MSM cover for Biden family to keep Americans in the dark

The American media – for the most part – has made up its mind. They are in the tank for former Vice President Joe Biden and any stories, reports or information – like that of the shocking New York Post story on his son Hunter Biden – gets ignored or unfairly discredited before it’s investigated.

It’s unbelievable that this is happening to our nation. It’s not the old Soviet Union but the end result of the actions of our media is the same: control the narrative and keep the information from reaching the American people. The tragedy, is that it isn’t the government conducting the censorship but the media moguls, social media giants and for the most part the American people are letting it happen without much of a fight.

This in and of itself should worry every American, because these actions to censor free speech erode the very foundation of freedom we have cherished since the inception of our country.

Just look at Biden’s interview with ABC News anchor and former President Bill Clinton’s spokesperson George Stephanopoulos on Thursday. Stephanopoulos chose to ignore and not as Biden any questions about the New York Post report’s emails that allegedly reveal his son was using his father’s position to line his pockets with millions of dollars from countries like China and Ukraine.

Not one question. It was as if it never happened or reported. In fact, Stephanopoulos got help from Twitter, Facebook and other social media platforms that suspended accounts and stopped the sharing of the New York Post’s stories on Hunter Biden.

New Busters Curtis Houck stated on Twitter “as expected, @ABC News and chief anchor/former Clinton official George Stephanopoulos made sure that there was NOT A SINGLE question about Hunter Biden at this #BidenTownHall.”

#BREAKING: As expected, @ABC News and chief anchor/former Clinton official George Stephanopoulos made sure that there was NOT A SINGLE question about Hunter Biden at this #BidenTownHall.

Another example of censorship and collusion.

— Curtis Houck (@CurtisHouck) October 16, 2020

The Post reported a 2015 email revealing that Hunter Biden – who was a paid board member for a Ukrainian energy giant – was getting a thank you from a senior executive of Burisma Holdings, for “giving an opportunity” for him to meet his father, then-Vice President Biden. Biden was charged with overseeing Ukrainian foreign policy issues under the Obama Administration at the time. His son, despite his lack of knowledge in the energy field or his inability to speak Russian, was put as a paid board member for the company. He was being paid roughly $50,000 a month.

However, Joe Biden has previously told reporters he’s “never spoken” to his son “about his overseas business dealings.”

Stephanopoulos did not ask him one question during the 90-minute town hall that broadcast to hundreds of thousands of Americans.

Signed As Law: Vermont Bans Police Use of Facial Recognition Technology

MONTPELIER, Vt. – Last week, Vermont Gov. Phil Scott signed a bill into law that bans police from using facial recognition technology. The growing movement to prohibit the use of facial recognition at the state and local levels could hinder the operation of a growing national facial recognition network.

Sen. Jeanette White (D-Putney) introduced Senate Bill 124 (S.124) back in February. The legislation makes a number of reforms relating to law enforcement, including a complete ban on the use of facial recognition technology unless it “is authorized by an enactment of the General Assembly.” The law prohibits the use of facial recognition technology and the use of any information acquired through facial recognition. It does make an exception if the use of facial recognition is allowable under the state law regulating police drones – permissible only with a warrant.

The Senate passed S.124 in June by a 28-0 vote. The House approved the measure with some amendments on Sept. 22. The Senate concurred with the amendments and Gov. Scott signed the bill into law on Oct. 7.

The new law establishes the strongest limits on the police use of facial recognition in the country. ACLU of Vermont Advocacy Director Falko Schilling called it “a historic win for Vermonters’ right to privacy.”

By enacting the broadest outright ban on police use of facial recognition in the country, Vermont has taken the lead in protecting residents’ civil liberties from this invasive and inaccurate technology.

IMPACT ON FEDERAL PROGRAMS

A recent report revealed that the federal government has turned state drivers’ license photos into a giant facial recognition database, putting virtually every driver in America in a perpetual electronic police lineup. The revelations generated widespread outrage, but this story isn’t new. The federal government has been developing a massive, nationwide facial recognition system for years.

The FBI rolled out a nationwide facial-recognition program in the fall of 2014, with the goal of building a giant biometric database with pictures provided by the states and corporate friends.

In 2016, the Center on Privacy and Technology at Georgetown Law released “The Perpetual Lineup,” a massive report on law enforcement use of facial recognition technology in the U.S. You can read the complete report at perpetuallineup.org. The organization conducted a year-long investigation and collected more than 15,000 pages of documents through more than 100 public records requests. The report paints a disturbing picture of intense cooperation between the federal government, and state and local law enforcement to develop a massive facial recognition database.

“Face recognition is a powerful technology that requires strict oversight. But those controls, by and large, don’t exist today,” report co-author Clare Garvie said. “With only a few exceptions, there are no laws governing police use of the technology, no standards ensuring its accuracy, and no systems checking for bias. It’s a wild west.”

There are many technical and legal problems with facial recognition, including significant concerns about the accuracy of the technology, particularly when reading the facial features of minority populations. During a test run by the ACLU of Northern California, facial recognition misidentified 26 members of the California legislature as people in a database of arrest photos.

Viganò on Pope’s ‘brotherhood’ encyclical: ‘A manifesto in the service of the New World Order’

'The globalist and ecumenical pacifism of Fratelli Tutti envisions an earthly paradise that lays its foundations on refusing to recognize the Kingship of Christ,' His Excellency said.

In a devastating appraisal of Pope Francis’ latest encyclical Fratelli Tutti (All Brothers), Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò called out its failure to take abortion seriously.

“This deafening silence concerning the most odious crime in the eyes of God – because it is committed upon an innocent and defenseless child depriving it of life – betrays the twisted vision of this ideological manifesto that is in the service of the New World Order,” he said in an interview with LifeSiteNews.

“The globalist and ecumenical pacifism of Fratelli Tutti envisions an earthly paradise that lays its foundations on refusing to recognize the Kingship of Christ over societies and the entire world.”

The former papal representative to the United States also criticizes the encyclical’s call for a brotherhood based on a worldly or ‘horizontal’ brotherhood rather than on the true brotherhood in Christ.

“(W)hat brotherhood could ever exist between people, if killing an innocent child is considered irrelevant? How can one condemn social exclusion while remaining silent on the most criminal of social exclusions, that of a child who has a right to live, to grow, to be loved and to love, adore and serve God and attain eternal life? What is the point of addressing arms trafficking, if one can be joined in brotherhood with one who dismembers a child in the womb of its mother, one who sucks the child’s brains out the instant before birth?”

Archbishop Viganò says that the encyclical’s apparent hope to bring hope to all men of the earth is misguided since, “in order to truly desire the good of modern man it is necessary to wake him out of his hypnotic spell of do-goodery, ecologism, pacifism, ecumenism, and globalism. In order to want the good of sinful and rebellious man, it is necessary to make him understand that by distancing himself from his Creator and Lord he will end up being a slave of Satan and of himself.”

Archbishop Viganò spells out “the only hope to foster peace and harmony among men” is “by conforming to the will of God.”

In the interview, Archbishop Viganò called on faithful Catholics to pray earnestly and offer sacrifices for the Church’s leaders – the hierarchy. Here the Archbishop must mean especially Pope Francis, the author of the encyclical which the Archbishop says, “represents, in a certain way, the emptiness of a withered heart, of a blind man deprived of supernatural sight.”

Google & Oracle to Monitor Americans Who Get Warp Speed’s Covid-19 Vaccine for up to Two Years

Last week, a rare media interview given by the Trump administration’s “Vaccine Czar” offered a brief glimpse into the inner workings of the extremely secretive Operation Warp Speed (OWS), the Trump administration’s “public-private partnership” for delivering a Covid-19 vaccine to 300 million Americans by next January. What was revealed should deeply unsettle all Americans.

During an interview with the Wall Street Journal published last Friday, the “captain” of Operation Warp Speed, career Big Pharma executive Moncef Slaoui, confirmed that the millions of Americans who are set to receive the project’s Covid-19 vaccine will be monitored via “incredibly precise . . . tracking systems” that will “ensure that patients each get two doses of the same vaccine and to monitor them for adverse health effects.” Slaoui also noted that tech giants Google and Oracle have been contracted as part of this “tracking system” but did not specify their exact roles beyond helping to “collect and track vaccine data.”

The day before the Wall Street Journal interview was published, the New York Times published a separate interview with Slaoui where he referred to this “tracking system” as a “very active pharmacovigilance surveillance system.” During a previous interview with the journal Science in early September, Slaoui had referred to this system only as “a very active pharmacovigilance system” that would “make sure that when the vaccines are introduced that we’ll absolutely continue to assess their safety.” Slaoui has only recently tacked on the words “tracking” and “surveillance” to his description of this system during his relatively rare media interviews.

While Slaoui himself was short on specifics regarding this “pharmacovigilance surveillance system,” the few official documents from Operation Warp Speed that have been publicly released offer some details about what this system may look like and how long it is expected to “track” the vital signs and whereabouts of Americans who receive a Warp Speed vaccine.

The Pharmacovigilantes

Two official OWS documents released in mid-September state that vaccine recipients—expected to include a majority of the US population—would be monitored for twenty-four months after the first dose of a Covid-19 vaccine is administered and that this would be done by a “pharmacovigilance system.”

In the OWS document entitled “From the Factory to the Frontlines,” the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Department of Defense (DOD) stated that, because Warp Speed vaccine candidates use new unlicensed vaccine productions methods that “have limited previous data on safety in humans . . . the long-term safety of these vaccines will be carefully assessed using pharmacovigilance surveillance and Phase 4 (post-licensure) clinical trials.”

More Than 100 Absentee Ballots Found Among Undelivered Mail: Officials

Over 100 absentee ballots were found among undelivered mail in Kentucky, officials confirmed.

A tipster alerted the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) Office of Inspector General (OIG) on Thursday and special agents responded and recovered several different classes of mail, including 112 absentee ballots and two political advertisements, special agent Scott Balfour told The Epoch Times via email.

The ballots were not filled in because the mail had not been delivered, Balfour said.

The mail was intended for delivery in Jeffersontown.

USPS OIG officials already identified the employee responsible for discarding the mail. The person is no longer employed by the USPS, according to Balfour.

“The person is no longer employed with the USPS. When the investigation is concluded, the case will be presented for federal prosecution to the U.S. Attorney’s Office,” he said.

The employee’s name has not been released publicly.

The ballots and flyers were returned to the postal service and delivered to customers on Thursday.
