I and my wife voted in Lexington, NC yesterday. At 6 am, the line was over 100 yds long, spaced no more than 3-4 feet apart. The doors opened at 8.

Lots of masks were seen on the blue-hairs, but we younger crowd didn't put ours on until we were about to enter the polling place. Younger crowd? I'm almost 70 and my wife is nearly 60. Am reliably informed that we set a first day record.

We got a fly-by from an Apache helo. That was a nice bonus.;-)

Thursday night, they took down our Confederate soldier statue. He'd been standing, harmless behind some trees, for 116 years.

It turns out that a local influential family with a former pro-baseball player at its head has been feeding the BLM protestors. Perhaps they thought to appease them and avoid damage to their main-street business. There IS no appeasing them … and now they have a lot of the rest of us pissed off, too.
