Last night i posted about how i used to detail rebar and the tie holes werent anything special. Curious why everyone flipping out on the overlay. If ties werent placed the concrete would essentially destroy the form for which its cast.

They just get filled in later for cosmetics (optics)
So if thats whats objected to, how does one patch the form to where it cannot necessarily be objected?
