yes…. agencies spend billions chasing people for things that never should have been illegal in the first place, but let the scams flourish and propagate.
My pet theory on that was, perhaps they allow the scams to annoy/rip off/scare people for years to the point where they would be more willing to accept a singular biometric ID to 'prevent scams and online theft'
So, vigilante scam-scammers do the work, at least they get some revenue from their youtube videos.
