Ukraine's Investigators Summon Constitutional Court Head Over Organised Crime Suspicions

The Ukrainian State Bureau of Investigations has summoned Oleksandr Tupytskyi, the head of the national Constitutional Court, for questioning on 2 November over his suspected involvement in organised crime.

The body added that Tupytskyi was suspected of involvement in an organised criminal group as well as covering up the committed crimes.

"An investigator of the Ukrainian State Bureau of Investigations has summoned the head of the Constitutional Court for questioning scheduled for 2 November 2020", the bureau said in a statement on late Thursday.

Earlier this week, the Constitutional Court overturned a number of anti-corruption norms in the legislation, including criminal liability for declaring false information. On Wednesday, the EU Delegation to Ukraine urged Kiev to restore conditions for the effective work of anti-corruption bodies, recalling that EU assistance, including financial, was linked to independent work of the anti-corruption architecture, free of any pressure.

Several opposition parties said that the Constitutional Court's decision could have negative consequences for Ukraine's European integration. Internet publication Evropeyskaya Pravda reported, citing a letter from the EU Ambassador of Ukraine to Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, that the EU might suspend the visa-free regime with Ukraine in connection with the decision of the Constitutional Court.

Florida Man Facing Over 80 Counts Of Child Molestation Found Dead In Jail

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. — On the morning of October 26th, 2020 jail staff discovered James Palmucci dead within his cell.

James Palmucci originally entered the Charlotte County Jail on 83 charges against children. James was cleared for a general population pod with similar classified inmates and housed alone in a cell.

Palmucci’s victims were young teenage girls who he talked to on the app Snapchat. Authorities said they found videos on his phone of him with the victims.

Per policy, corrections deputies walk the pod once every 60 minutes to ensure the safety and security of all inmates. Around 6am prior to shift change, James Palmucci was observed in his cell.

This morning, jail staff went to notify Palmucci of the mornings court appearance. It was at this time when James Palmucci was discovered deceased in his cell with fabric located around his neck. Detention members and jail medical staff performed life saving measures as Charlotte County EMS were in route.

Detectives with the Charlotte County Major Crimes Unit are conducting interviews and investigating. There had been no threat to Palmucci during his stay within the Charlotte County Jail and no one who had contact with him recalled him uttering statements eluding to self-harm.

Firefighter Who Drove 6 Hours To a Chili’s To Have Sex With A Child And Her Mom Faces Life

RICHMOND, Va. – A Pittsburgh man pleaded guilty today to attempted coercion and enticement of a minor to engage in illegal sexual activity.

According to court documents, in November 2019, Brian Kosanovich, 58, a firefighter living in Pittsburgh, responded to a profile posted by an FBI undercover employee on Alt.com, which is a website that hosts a network of members interested in alternative forms of sexual relationships, including a variety of fetishes, kinks, BDSM, etc. The undercover officer’s profile indicated that she was a single mother with a 10-year-old daughter. After establishing contact on Alt.com, Kosanovich and the undercover officer began communicating via the Kik messaging application. Kosanovich and the undercover officer engaged in extensive conversations of a sexually explicit nature for several months, much of which focused on Kosanovich having sex with the 10-year-old as well as the mother. At several points, Kosanovich engaged in sexually explicit chats with the undercover officer who at the time was posing as the 10-year-old girl herself. Over the period of the investigation, Kosanovich sent the undercover officer nude “selfies” pictures, and a prepaid Visa card so that the mother could buy sex toys to use with the daughter.

Ultimately, on February 18, Kosanovich traveled from Pittsburgh to a Richmond Chili’s restaurant for the stated purpose of having sex with the mother and daughter, and was arrested by FBI officials upon his arrival.

Kosanovich faces a mandatory minimum term of 10 years in prison, and a maximum possible sentence of life in prison when sentenced on March 3, 2021.
