Correct. Even reading history, a sort of "time travel", is merely a set of limited data, manipulated or otherwise, the former then not really traveling through time, but traveling through someone's fable. Intel does it by predicting outcomes based on scenarios built upon past occurrences, but in the end, those are simply guesses, some guesses that pan out, perhaps with a little nudging to force it, some that don't. Shamans and witchdoctors do it by divination, claiming to seek disembodied spirits for that hidden knowledge, either of events already having occurred or events purportedly yet to occur. Most of the time they were really just very good manipulators and adept judges of human nature and able to estimate through probability, like autists, rarely, inspired by forces outside of themselves, though never of disembodied spirits who once walked this earth despite their claims.
