I have to disagree with this part.
We never actually disconnect from time in order to travel 'through' it.
There here and now is always constant with a person, but to actually travel through, you have to break that with the use of technology that we don't have access to yet.
Once our science is no longer based on unproven theoretical hypothesis we may move on to be able to create the vehicle needed inorder to travel through time.
