The point I was trying to make is that no pittance they offer at this point will undo the damage, so there is no sense in having it look like they were compelled to drop another dime that will pacify some of the people

As I understand it, the same bill includes a raise for Congress

Congress the entire time has been paid by the people and have not suffered or gone without,

Congress should retroactively lose all pay since the beginning of the declared pandemic and not be paid again until they remove all restrictions and mandates and lock downs that are crushing citizens and their families
