strangely enough, there's a Hopi prophecy (I can't source right now, sorry) that purports that their (the Hopi) saviors will be a people that brandishes a "joined hands symbol" like an up and a down wave clenching or some words to that effect.
Wish I was savvier so I could point you to it but alas.
But it stuck with me from whenever (long ago) I read that. I often think about it and compare logos more often than not; first time I'm positive that this one fits the bill in every whick way. The actual symbolism (meaning) in this case is noteworthy at least.
