My read of the updates is that Apple is getting a lot of help with their software from China and Google. Tons of remote code exploitation supposedly being blocked in the updates (good things to not have in the system… the number of them I find as noteworthy, but there's little detail other than that it seems like pretty much every layer of iOS is susceptible to remote code execution).
