a distributed model where you connect and route through 'open source' routing nodes and decouple stock holders in Zurich and Bahrain from the chain of ownership.
we don't need these central corporation's clouds.
in fact they ought to be banned because the traffic too and from the central hub eats up a lot of power. Local storage is far more efficient in that sense.
basically it's the scam like the phone company used to do: they 'leased' you a phone that you couldn't get elsewhere. Youy were stuck paying for it till you remembered to send it bac to them.
they would charge you month to month.
one months charges probably covered the cost fo the phone.
so with 'a cloud' you 'lease' harddrive space somewhere else and give access on your systems to all your data and processes.
pretty stupid.
well , maybe not 'all' data and processes, if you configure it correctly.
for backup it's not so horid if you know to do it and then discnnect, reconenct when you need to get it back.
but for constant use? A cloud is a corporate grift.
it basically takes away storage from the consumer space just at the time when it would be come almost free.
