A good example of stages of normalizing with the use of the TV (movies moved in their own timeline, and TV's are used for bringing these changes into the living rooms of every household):

1. TV brings America into the private sanctity of the marriage chamber. It is presented "modestly" by the husband and wife having separate, twin beds. The very use of this is unrealistic, and the nature of the mind will immediately conjure up imagination of picturing the couple in a normally used bed. This is the "I Love Lucy" age.

1. Once the viewers (addicted) are conditioned to accepting the bedroom zone, and twin beds, this is taken to the next step by using a normal bed. Scenes are included with the married couple using the bed, but well separated, often in a comedic fashion, such as the husband snoring, the wife on the phone keeping husband awake. This is a later stage of the "I Love Lucy" age.

1. Gradually, the distance between the couple is diminished, with hugging, eventually, kissing, but just a momentary peck.

1. The intimacy is increased, and various stages of undress are gradually introduced. Also, non-married couples are shown in the same bed (already long made "acceptable" in theater). Fornication and adultery is brought into the living rooms of each household as a form of entertainment, and not simply something done on the sly in real life. It is normalized. At this stage, in order to add movie selections which had been ahead of the TV timeline, cable is made commonly available.

1. Once the previous is normalized, it begins to be "anathema" to dare to question it, with those having the temerity to do so, being mocked.

1. Next, characters pretending to be women, for an apparently "legitimate" reason, are shown. These were put into comedic environments. Ha ha. It also kills three birds with one stone: a) preparing the public to accept cross-dressing; b) emasculate men; and c) bring forward feminism. This is the "Bosom Buddies" and "M.A.S.H." age.

1. This is turned into men portrayed as being actual cross-dressers, and now, the normalization of homosexuality is brought to the fore with it. Cable channels provide entertainment with "beauty contests", etc.

1. Homosexuality, though mocked by some, is normalized, and "marriage" between same sexes is brought forward. The viewers are once again brought into the bedroom, with same sex "married" couples shown hugging and being affectionate. This is A&E type "entertainment, but slyly added as "background" to a larger theme, such as real estate brokers, and oh, a few who just happen to be married, striving to have children by other methods.

1. The addition of children to homosexual marriages, begins to normalize deviants being in the presence of children, revealing the obvious next step.
