Secession is not the answer. The Constitution (with IMHO one minor flaw, more about that later) has served us well. The issue today is with those (elected, appointed, and otherwise supported) who have violated their oaths to uphold and defend that document and the principles that make it what has enabled the most prosperous and functional egalitarian society the world has seen. That flaw, the lack of a meaningful penalty for violating that oath needs to be remedied, but beyond that we are not the ones who should be leaving; we have not violated that oath of office. The proper demand here is for expulsion from the society these people claim to hate and wish to destroy. We can save them the trouble and remove the places they infest from the voluntary union of states, refusing to conduct business with them or with people who choose to remain within their borders.
