if you don't know anything about stocks, it should be more about saving long term for you than taking high risks to make money quick…
read about longterm vs short term investing… but if the market happens to crash, and you have cash on hand.. watch closely to jump on because recovery is near inevitable.. only risk is, your cash could be stuck for 6 months or it could be stuck for 6 years.. still better than blowing your money or just having cash saved.. market at least protects from inflation over long run.
