can any market fag explain why naked short selling is legal?
one thing to borrow stock and sell and replace, a simple contract.
but how tf can someone sell on the open market a stock they do not own?
seems like if that is the case maybe legal for [them] to sell the public stocks that they do not own, like a derivative without telling anyone?

could be shorts panicking over gme, or other reasons, but interdasting that maybe some one is attacking short/hedge funds.
naked short selling seems to me like fraud?
gme was almost def (imho) a naked run because as of 12-31-20 according to td bank site shorts were 140% of float.

so i looked at heavy shorted stocks i follow and some are over 20% shorted relative to float.
for non aware fags- over 5% is quite high, 20% is crazy, and i would say especially when it involves a stable company with nothing potentially cataclysmic habbening.
