Also buy and sell flow is not tied to retail trades, just like beer stock from the store. So what you may be seeing is big order flows being executed. This happens as stock brokers funds etc sell or buy due to a call by a fund manager. Sure HFT front runs everything, but it's pennies and difficult to see. HFT front runs nano seconds not minutes, so not likely.
I don't follow these stonks but with the vol it wouldn't matter.
Anyway, nice symetry you spotted, just not sure the reason. Since these are short squeezes, likely folks long and short moving vol do so at certain times. Also it always takes two to trade.
