These graphics are the evolution of GME an AMC yesterday. I dont know anything about finance but i see that the spikes and digs happend exactly at the same time.

During an event sponsored by the National Education Association (NEA), Dr. Anthony Fauci reportedly told attendees that President Biden’s goal of opening most schools in 100 days is in jeopardy:

 

“The President is taking very seriously the issue … both from the student standpoint and from the teacher standpoint,” Fauci said during a virtual event sponsored by the National Education Association.

“He really wants to and believes that the schools need to reopen in the next 100 days, essentially all the K to 8 schools, within 100 days. That’s the goal. That may not happen because there may be mitigating circumstances, but what he really wants to do is everything within his power to help get to that.”

 

The degree to which schools are open varies across the country. In some states, elites like California Governor Gavin Newsom have no problem sending their children in-person to private school programs. However, state and city leaders let unions and destructive public policies like lockdowns deprive millions of other people’s children of the same opportunity.

 

Chicago Public Schools threatened to dock the pay of teachers who did not return to the school. The teachers voted to go on strike rather than return. School administrators and unions are at odds in many districts across the country, and parents get frustrated. A video of a father in Virginia having an angry outburst over continued school closures went viral last week.

 

In other areas of the country, schools are open and using common-sense mitigation efforts. In Georgia, some school districts have been open since August, without a comprehensive testing requirement. Open schools have reverted to distance learning when the number of staff required to quarantine due to an exposure exceeded the district’s ability to staff classrooms. These periods have generally been short. The quarantine requirements are strict in many districts, requiring individuals to isolate for 14 days after exposure to an asymptomatic person with a positive test, even if masking is present.

 

In Florida, the governor ordered all schools to open in the fall for in-person instruction. The state-level guidelines do not require comprehensive testing. It does not appear that the state requires masking, either. Schools work with county departments of health to create their mitigation plans. The state guaranteed full funding for needed increases in staff and programs aimed at closing the educational gaps that occurred due to shutdowns in the spring of 2020.

 

Two recent studies have supported these approaches, showing transmission in the school environment to be very low. In a large North Carolina study, most of the infections in staff and students could be traced to community spread outside the school. Across 11 school districts, the in-school transmission was almost all in the special education environment where mitigation, like masking, is challenging.

 

The schools were all in the ABC Science Collaborative to share best practices. The mitigation measures discussed in the study were masking, social distancing, and hygiene. There is no mention of comprehensive testing, facility upgrades, or installation of barriers. The state’s Department of Health provided an initial surge of personal protective equipment and other tools like touchless thermometers. Students and staff received approximately five reusable cloth masks. Replenishment is now done by the schools directly.

Lin Wood, the storied attorney known for his support of falsely accused bomber Richard Jewell and more lately his protracted disputing of the 2020 presidential election, says he is refusing to under a psychiatric evaluation ordered by the state bar of Georgia.

 

Wood, who gained notoriety in recent months for repeatedly alleging that the 2020 election was rigged—and who at one point infamously called for the execution of then-Vice President Mike Pence—told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that the Georgia State Bar's order would, if followed, "violate [his] First Amendment right to free speech."

 

“And if they do that and this harms me, then I will strongly consider suing them, and it will be a significant lawsuit," he added.

 

The Georgia bar's handbook stipulates that, upon finding "that an attorney may be impaired or incapacitated to practice law due to mental incapacity or substance abuse," the bar may "make a confidential referral of the matter to the Lawyer Assistance Program for the purposes of confrontation and referral of the attorney to treatment centers and peer support groups."

 

The bar also says that, of the lawyers under its jurisdiction, "want of a sound mind, senility, habitual intoxication or drug addiction, to the extent of impairing competency as an attorney … shall constitute grounds for removing the attorney from the practice of law."

Might could use some help but I'm going it alone for the time being. Wrote this up and will be working from it.

 

So I have an idea for a plugin which should be “fairly straightforward.” Plan it out:

 

1. Write a Chrome plugin (since it’ll work with Brave browser), which just logs something every time a page is loaded.

2. Have the plugin use multiple threads; a producer and a consumer.

3. The producer will just write the above logs!

4. The consumer, will then read the logs, and make-or-update the archive links. Both archive.is and archive.org.

5. Consumer may need to “wait” between each instance. Should also keep track of visited pages, and not update within a certain window (like 24 hours) as I don’t want to put a heavy load on the archive servers.

6. Next stage: blockchain, perhaps ZeroNet?

At no point have I forecasted heavy snow for Southeast Virginia at any point over the past three days. The fact that you may not know the difference between let's say Harrisonburg and Virginia Beach on a map doesn't mean that I forecasted heavy snow for you location . It just means that you have a serious problems with basic geography and that you should have paid attention in Middle School. That is unfortunate but it's not my problem. It is yours

 

As I stated in the discussion in the previous post which I hope some of you have read- what has change from 2 days ago to today is that the coastal LOW on Monday stalls further north up the coast. This changes the ability of the second part of the storm on Monday and Monday evening to bring snow further south. That's why I have to reduce the snow amounts in Southwest Virginia and the southern half of the Shenandoah Valley. My job is to get the forecast right and not blow smoke up my own ass. Things change and I am sorry that things change but I really don't have the ability to change the laws of physics . Only Mister Scott the chief engineer of the Starship Enterprise has that ability.

The good news is that the short-range models are beginning to show the heavy snow in Pennsylvania and New Jersey on Monday and Monday evening and moderate snow rotating back into DC Northern Virginia and perhaps as far south as Fredericksburg and Richmond and the northern portions of the Shenandoah Valley Monday afternoon and evening. I don't know if this wrap around snow will be 1 inch or 3 or just snow showers.

 

I continue to be very concerned about heavy snow greater than a foot in the Washington DC and Baltimore Metro areas. The high resolution n short-range and very good Canadian model known as the RGEM as well as other models continue to show 12 to to as much as 30 inches of snow in South Central AND Southeastern Pennsylvania as well as much of New Jersey AND into North Central Maryland very close to Washington and Baltimore. It is quite possible that Hagerstown and Frederick as well as Columbia Sykesville and housing could end up with 8 inches or more of snow when compared to Baltimore or Washington DC.

 

With that much snow … being that close to these important Metro areas I am very nervous about any forecasts which has snow amounts under 10 in. It would not take much of an adjustment to drop 18 or 24 inches of snow area into these Metro regions as well as Martinsburg Leesburg and Winchester.

A sophisticated China-linked social media operation played a key role in spreading disinformation during and after the US election, a report from Cardiff University concludes.

 

The study, from the Crime and Security Research Institute, shows evidence of the network’s activities reaching a wide audience, most successfully through a now debunked viral video that was later shared by Eric Trump, son of former US President Donald Trump, falsely showing ballots being burned on election day.

Guy at the shop said so many people are buying he is having to limit 10 oz. per customer and his suppliers are telling him it will take north of 30 days to fill his orders that are normally filled in less than two weeks because so many people are buying it up. Guy came in the store right after me wanting to buy 10 grand worth of silver and due to limited supply, he had to decline the sale. If the demand is that high and the supply is that constrained, the market price on silver should be interesting to watch come Monday.
