Depends on what exchange was feeding that data to that chart service. There are more US echanges than you might imagine, and only one puts a speed bump in for the HFTers, that's IEX. They keep nine miles of fiber coming into their servers in a shoe box, just to mess with them. No latency allowed. Same guys also developed the Thor order entry system, for RBC, to counter latency trading.

There’s plenty of silver and gold for actual uses, it only gets scarce when speculators hoard it. When it appears to peak, many will want out and down they go.
Not to mention that we’ve probably been mining asteroids already for decades and the actual supply is about a million times larger than plebes think.
