I don't do this often but here's the source https://www.watoday.com.au/national/western-australia/much-of-wa-going-into-lockdown-from-6pm-after-hotel-quarantine-worker-tests-positive-20210131-p56y78.html

Much of WA going into lockdown from 6pm after hotel quarantine worker tests positive

Perth, Peel and the South West are going into lockdown from 6pm on Sunday after a hotel quarantine worker tested positive to COVID-19.

The lockdown begins from 6pm today and extends until 6pm Friday, Premier Mark McGowan said.

At an emergency press conference alongside Health Minister Roger Cook, Mr McGowan said he had a serious update.

At midnight last night there had been a positive test result from a male hotel quarantine security guard in his 20s, he said.

Contact tracing is under way.

He was working at the Sheraton Four Points hotel in Perth. At the time there were four active cases in hotel quarantine there, with at least three confirmed variant strains. Two from the UK and one from South Africa.

He developed symptoms on Thursday, phoned in sick and did not go to work.

COVID-19 testing clinics are being ramped up, many open until 10pm on Sunday.

The man’s immediate contacts have been tested and placed in isolation.

Mr McGowan says it’s possible this new case is the UK variant of COVID-19.

“This is an extremely fast moving situation,” he said.

“I know for many West Australians this will come as a shock. This is a very serious situation and each and everyone of us has to act responsibly”.

Schools in the lockdown areas will be closed.

“Today we need to go back to what we know best to ensure that we limit community transmission of COVID-19 in our state,” Mr McGowan said.

“So beginning at 6pm tonight the whole Perth metropolitan area, the Peel region and the South West region will go into full lockdown.

“We cannot forget how quickly this virus can spread nor the devastation it can cause.”

He said West Australians had done so well for so long.

“But this week is absolutely crucial that we stay home, maintain good hygiene,” Mr McGowan said.

“Throughout the pandemic the response to the pandemic in WA has been second to none. Now we are asking for your help once again.

“Act calmly, this is crucial.”

Mr Cook said: “Something went wrong and we need to get to the bottom of that”.

Back from 2009 https://home.cern/news/press-release/cern/hollywood-comes-cern

Geneva, 12 February 2009. CERN1 today hosted a visit from actors Tom Hanks and Ayelet Zurer and director Ron Howard as they unveiled exclusively some select footage from their new film adaptation of Dan Brown’s novel Angels & Demons, set for worldwide release by Sony Pictures on 15 May 2009.

When Sony Pictures first contacted CERN early in 2007 about filming part of Angels & Demons there, the laboratory quickly saw an opportunity and was excited to participate.

“The fact that Angels & Demons is a best-selling novel and now a Hollywood movie gives us the opportunity to show how exciting the reality of antimatter research is,” said CERN Research Director Sergio Bertolucci. “Both fiction and science want to take us from the ordinary to the extraordinary; the difference is that science has to operate entirely within reality.”

“It’s been a privilege working with CERN,” said director Ron Howard. “The scientists here have been incredibly helpful in explaining the science to us, and giving us access to some incredible places. I think what they’re doing here is fantastic.”

Understanding why nature prefers matter to antimatter is the main thrust of CERN’s antimatter research. When our Universe was born some 13.7 billion years ago in the Big Bang, matter and antimatter would have been created in equal quantities, and as Dan Brown correctly points out, when matter and antimatter meet, they annihilate, leaving only energy behind. One of the great mysteries of the Universe today is how enough matter has survived to provide the building blocks for stars, planets, and even us.

Antimatter has practical uses too. The medical imaging technique of PET scanning uses antimatter to help doctors visualize the functioning of the human body. The scanners used owe much to techniques developed for particle physics research. In the future, antimatter might also be used to treat cancer. Preliminary experiments carried out at CERN have shown that antimatter particle beams could be very effective at destroying cancer cells.
