About the Kappy deadman's switch files, here's the situation as I understand it, Anon.
Anons had, way back when, located some (perhaps all) of the encrypted files that Kappy had placed around the web. Unfortunately, Anons didn't have the key. Also, because there was so much data most anons didn't have the ability to store it along with other stuff.
A couple weeks ago (or thereabouts) /pol/ and anons got the keys from several sources, and they've been verified. Unfortunately, the actual data files themselves appear to be missing from last known locations.
Enter our tech anons, folks like PioyPioyPioy. He's a tech guru who helped CodeMonkey with deciphering the IT data from the election. It turns out that PioyPioyPioy has (at least, claims to have) the Kappy files ''and'' the keys. So do a small group of others.
What Kappy's files contain are strongly suspected of being really bad, and probably heavy with child porn. That's a dangerous combination to go playing with because it can land you in criminal, civil and possibly physical hot water depending on how you screw up.
Pioy has described what is going on - they are working to open, figure out, report (if CP it's required), prepare imagery that is legally safe to view, and put it together in such a way that the information is as complete as possible, and presented in a coherent fashion.
With lawyers sweating you over these disclosures, it's just going to take longer.
Let them work.
If he's bullshitting us we're no worse off than we are now, because to my knowledge no one has been able to find those files out in the wild.
Just pay attention for what comes out, whenever it does. It's out of your hands, and mine.
