About Voices of Note
The renowned Atlanta Gay Men’s Chorus and Atlanta Women’s Chorus comprise the largest community music organization in the Southeast. Each chorus presents three annual concert experiences defined by musical excellence and a commitment to promoting equality for all people. Voices of Note, the not-for-profit organization governing our choruses, is a catalyst for social change. It provides an opportunity to be inspired, a journey to places in hearts and minds that have yet to be explored, and a voyage into the perspective of our neighbors, teachers, siblings and friends. Above all, Voices of Note believes that the most effective way to deliver the message of equality for all people is with music. Through music, we are changing hearts and minds.

The 70-voice Atlanta Women’s Chorus is a talented, diverse group of all ages, backgrounds and beliefs. The group began in 2013 as the Atlanta Women’s Project, a small ensemble sponsored by the Atlanta Gay Men’s Chorus (AGMC) which, after 40 seasons, is one of the world’s longest-running gay choruses. In early 2014, the newly formed AWC presented its first full-length concert and is now an independent choral ensemble under the Voices of Note, Inc., organizational umbrella.

But Voices of Note is what it is to its audiences because of what it means to its members. To the membership of each chorus, it is a community united. A community brought together by a common purpose: a passion for excellence in vocal performance, a thirst for equality of all peoples, and a belief that music is the most effective way to deliver that message.
This ideal is conveyed through the dynamic performances of the Atlanta Gay Men’s Chorus and the Atlanta Women’s Chorus, each with its own identity, but unified in a common goal. Through these two talented ensembles, indeed voices of note, together we are changing hearts and minds through music.
Our Mission: To inspire dialogue and drive social equity through artistic excellence
Our Vision: A diverse community united by our music
