The Little House on the Prairie books

Should be on everyone list to read to kids or read yourself, if they were never read to you.

Wonderful telling of life, close to 200 years ago.

In one book, she tells of a winter many did not live through. You think you have it hard now? You have no idea what hardship is.

They tell a tale they learned from the Indians. A bad winter every 7 years but the worst is the 7th winter of every 7 year cycle. every 49 years.

These blizzards are not new. I remember hearing on the news when I was a kid about blizzards and people have to stay home for long stretches. People today do not prepare for much of anything. Living is very easy and help is just a phone call away. Until it isn't.

It is the absolute middle of winter right now. Snow and Ice happen.

If it were June or July I might worry.

Remember are poles are shifting always but they have picked up speed in the past few years. The big earthquakes can tilt the earth on its axes 1/4 of a degree.

Read a book on weather history or big storms. Or read a series of books that give insight to how people had to live to survive back in the day. They are beautifully written books.

And then tell me how bad it really is right now,
