I thought of something similar to what you are saying but think that maybe some cosmic change in frequency (light) will reveal them. Something we couldn't see before suddenly becomes visible. That would certainly wake people up.

If you are not in tune with your human evolutionary traits, the lower stages of your evolution are more likely to have some say in your daily operations.
