Does anyone else think it's somewhat odd that TX, OK, gulf states aren't dealing with the cold snap very well? Wouldn't you think that people that live in states that are hit with hurricanes and tornadoes EVERY YEAR would be super-stocked up with generators and extra gas for any emergency power outage?

Understand completely. My point was, generators solve many problems when the power is out. If anybody should own at least one generator it would be people that live in hurricane/tornado areas and Texas is certainly that.

Many hospitals use large diesel engines for generators. Maybe they didn't treat the fuel and it gelled in the cold? Would be an easy fix, if so.

No matter…there is no excuse for NOT having emergency systems running at peak efficiency…ESPECIALLY FOR A HOSPITAL!!!
