The curse of common sense.
Wind energy involves direct taxpayer subsidies and ratepayer costs to fund tax breaks for corporations which purchase the power contracts. Wind is not reliable so the taxpayer and ratepayer costs are excessive to make projects pencil requiring high level government officials like Abbott to buy in. The utilities play ball for a piece of the action, as do the developers and engineers. Wind is is dead money like solar but the taxpayer and ratepayer takes care of the risk. Texas is a black swan for green power as people are willing to fight in Texas whereas in California billion dollar busts are water off the duck’s back. China greases the wheels and feeds us inferior infrastructure killing us from within.
