Wanna understand the effect of large increases in the minimum wage has? Walk into McDonalds and place your order at the kiosk.

Those kiosks took the place of some kid making "getting started" money or some older person making "barely hanging on" money. Because of them, some kid is finding it tougher to get started and some older person is finding it impossible to hang on.

Yup, minimum wage needs to keep up with inflation. But that's about all.

Yeah, I didn't think you'd met my wife.

Just about the time you flip some "information" along without checking, you'll get bitch-slapped by your own confirmation bias. It's tough to do, but you must also question yourself.

Is this true? Or do I just want it to be true?

Dummass … if masks worked, those people would be alive. Masks killed those people because they gave a false sense of security when we should have all been using HCQ … like President Trump suggested.

The rallies weren't "hostile", Jim. It was directed at you, personally, for being a deliberate dick.

When the Capitol police opened the gates and waved people through, I'm of the opinion that they were authorized those people to be where they were. The cops should have identified the no-go areas and did not. They enticed the violation of laws that the people they were waving through did not know that the officers were not authorized to waive.

Yeah, I was elected Pct. Chairman. Was NEVER told of a meeting or other "thing" I needed to do. I have given my local GOP party my contact information so many times they should have it memorized by now.

But then, I'm not wealthy and I haven't lived here all of my life … just the past 10 years.

And our candidate for Governor was never more than a place holder.

I'm older than that. Cheapest I EVER bought gas for was 19.9. In 1970.

At the time, minimum wage was $1.25.

Gas was normally 25.9 - 35.9 … I drove almost 30 miles just so I could, 50 years later, tell everyone that there was a day when I bought off-brand gas for 19.9

8x 19.9 would have been about $1.60. On the low side of the going rate, 8x would have been $2.00+ and we fledglings were getting nowhere near that!

8x the current $2.25 ish in my neck of the woods would be about $18 / hr. I can't afford to pay $18 / hr for a burger flipper.

Go fish.

I don't mind Psaki being stupid. I just wish she'd stop assuming that she's the smart one. She's not and it's beginning to wear a little thin on the reporters. I think she and Joe will leave the same week … and for pretty much the same reason.
