I believe you are mistaken. I'm pretty sure it was the afternoon when macron brought that tree to the WH as a gift for trump to plant.
There were pictures of the four of them doing so. I think that pic was taken later that day prior to dinner.
Fun Fact: the next day the tree got dug up because it had not gone through quarantine like it was supposed to. Don't know if it ever made it back or not.
