Stephen Colbert Explains QAnon's New Alleged Plot In Snow Day Terms

Stephen Colbert blasted the threat of a QAnon-inspired attack on the Capitol Thursday, months after a mob of Donald Trump’s supporters stormed the building in an attempt to overturn President Joe Biden’s election victory. (Watch the video below.)

“C’mon Qbies, again?” the “Late Show” host said in admonishing the extremist conspiracy theorists. “Remember what Einstein said: ‘The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over but expecting different results. Also QAnon. Those people are f**king crazy.’”

The House canceled Thursday’s session “out of an abundance of caution” after law enforcement learned of a possible threat from militia groups, Colbert pointed out. “It’s kind of like a domestic terrorism snow day in that they’re both dangerous and white,” he cracked.

ORLANDO, Florida — Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) introduced a term she called “The Committee of 74,” a reference to the 74 million people who voted for former President Donald Trump, in an exclusive with Breitbart News.

During the interview with Breitbart News at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) hosted by the American Conservative Union (ACU), Blackburn said that people who voted for Democrat President Joe Biden are expressing “buyer’s remorse” already.

“One thing we have to realize is there is a lot of buyer’s remorse right now,” Blackburn said.

As such, she argued, this “Committee of 74” who represent the millions who voted for Trump, must go out and add to the ranks of Trump supporters and people who believe in the America First agenda in the coming days, weeks, and months ahead.

“I saw we are—we, that supported President Trump, we’re kind of ‘The Committee of 74,’” Blackburn said. “We’re 74 million people that supported the president. We need to be adding to those numbers and as people realize that the Biden agenda is not going to be good for their checkbook, it is not going to be good for their individual rights, it is not going to be good for the economy or for markets or for preserving our sovereignty, I think that they will be looking for somebody who believes in the individual like President Trump did and that is why people loved him so—because he said, ‘I believe in you and your ability to make a difference and succeed.’”

Blackburn said, too, she hopes conservatives and Republicans can focus on the issues, and she called for everyone on the right to be a “happy warrior in this fight for freedom.” Blackburn’s use of the term “happy warrior” is notable as it is a term often used to describe the late Breitbart News founder Andrew Breitbart. Breitbart passed away nine years ago in 2012.

“People need to talk about the things that unite us,” Blackburn said. “If you are a conservative, you’re for lower taxes, lighter regulation, more individual freedom, a strong military. Those are the things we need to focus on. We need to talk about the importance of election integrity. People need to return to their states and say, ‘I’m going to work with my local election commission. We’re going to be sure that the rolls are cleaned up and the signatures match.’ People need to take responsibility for election law in their states. People need to be active on social media and say, ‘how do we protect our free speech?’ ‘How do we make sure we push back on the issues of energy and education?’ I think this is a time for conservatives who know we are right on the constitutional values. It’s the time to say, ‘I’m going to arm myself up with facts, I’m going to be a happy warrior in this fight for freedom, and I’m not going to give up. And I’m going to stand for protecting the Constitution every single day.’”

Statement by Donald J. Trump, 45th President of the United States of America.

Our border is now totally out of control thanks to the disastrous leadership of Joe Biden. Our great Border Patrol and ICE agents have been disrespected, demeaned, and mocked by the Biden Administration. A mass incursion into the country by people who should not be here is happening on an hourly basis, getting worse by the minute. Many have criminal records, and many others have and are spreading covid. Interior enforcement has been shut down—criminals that were once promptly removed by our Administration are now being released back onto the street to commit heinous and violent crimes. ICE officers are desperate to remove these convicted criminals, but Biden won't let them.

The spiraling tsunami at the border is overwhelming local communities, depleting budgets, crowding hospitals, and taking jobs from legal American workers. When I left office, we had achieved the most secure border in our country’s history. Under Biden, it will soon be worse, more dangerous, and more out of control than ever before. He has violated his oath of office to uphold our Constitution and enforce our laws.

There has never been a time on our southern border like what is happening now but more importantly, what is about to happen. Now that Biden has implemented nationwide Catch-and-Release, illegal immigrants from every corner of the Earth will descend upon our border and never be returned. You can never have a secure border unless people who cross illegally are promptly removed.

I had a great relationship with Mexico, and its wonderful president, but all of that has been dissipated by the gross incompetence and radicalism of the people currently in charge. The Remain in Mexico Policy was incredible, but immediately abandoned by Biden, probably because it worked so well. Likewise, our Safe Third Agreements in Central America were extraordinarily successful, so Biden foolishly ditched them too. We stopped payment of the hundreds of millions of dollars paid to them and then developed an excellent relationship that made our country and their countries more secure. We put in place powerful rules and procedures to stop the smuggling and trafficking, but the Biden Administration has abandoned these proven strategies and instead given the smugglers and traffickers effective control of our border.

Despite being delayed by years of litigation and politics by the democrats, the wall is almost finished and can be quickly completed. Doing so will save thousands of lives.

The Biden Administration must act immediately to end the border nightmare that they have unleashed onto our Nation. Keep illegal immigration, crime, and the China Virus out of our country!
