‘Biden’s Boardwalk Bash’: Joe & Hunter Used Public Funds to Schmooze Reporters in Exchange for Favorable Coverage.

Dozens of reporters, journalists, and news anchors enjoyed a close-knit relationship with Joe Biden and his family, dating back to his Vice Presidency and linked to his private parties – thrown at taxpayer expense at the Vice President’s residence – known as “Biden Beach Boardwalk Bashes,” the National Pulse can reveal.

The news may go some way to explaining why CBS, ABC, NBC, CNN, The Washington Post, The New York Times, and many others ignored the Hunter Biden laptop story of 2020.

The Biden Beach Boardwalk Bash was a pool party held in June at the Vice President’s Residence (VPR) on the grounds of the United States Naval Observatory in northwest Washington, D.C. It was hosted by Joe and Jill Biden, with attendance by the entire Biden family, including Hunter.

According to White House visitor logs, dozens upon dozens of prominent Washington journalists were guests at this prestigious party three times—in 2011, 2014, and 2016. No reporters from right-leaning or conservative media outlets were invited.

An examination of the visitor logs suggests 2011 was the first year journalists were invited. And while invitations were extended for 2012 and 2013, none of the invitees were actually logged into the VPR. The event wasn’t held in 2015, as it fell soon after the funeral of Beau Biden.

Some reporters attended the pool party just once, while some attended all three times. Photos of the events appeared in the hallways of the West Wing.

YouTube pulls Myanmar military channels as UN prepares to meet on crisis

YouTube has removed five channels run by Myanmar's military for violating its guidelines.

The video service announced the move on Friday, as demonstrators defied growing violence by security forces and staged more anti-coup protests ahead of a special UN Security Council meeting on the country's political crisis.

YouTube said it was watching for any further content that might violate its rules.

It earlier pulled dozens of channels as part of an investigation into content uploaded in a coordinated influence campaign.

The decision by YouTube followed Facebook's earlier announcement that it had removed all Myanmar military-linked pages from its site and Instagram, which it also owns.

The escalation of violence by security forces has put pressure on the world community to act to restrain the junta, which seized power on February 1 by ousting the elected government of Aung San Suu Kyi.

Large protests against military rule have occurred daily in many cities and towns.

Security forces escalated their crackdown this week with greater use of lethal force and mass arrests.

Washington Supreme Court opens door to forcing religious organizations to hire LGBT individuals

The Washington state Supreme Court reversed a lower court's decision this week regarding legal exemptions for religious employers, in a move that could open the door to forcing religious organizations to hire LGBT employees.

In the original ruling passed down more than two years ago, King County Superior Court Judge Karen Donohue dismissed a bisexual attorney's complaint against Seattle's Union Gospel Mission after the attorney, Matt Woods, sued the mission for discrimination when it refused to hire him upon learning of his sexuality.

The mission, Donohue ruled at the time, was acting within its rights because as a religious nonprofit it was exempt from the state's anti-discrimination law regarding one's sexual orientation. But now the state Supreme Court has reversed that ruling and ordered that the case return to the lower court, the Seattle Times reported.

Seattle Times reporter Sydney Brownstone was careful to note that while the court's ruling doesn't altogether strike down the religious employer exemption it "questions whether that exemption applies to a staff attorney at a legal aid clinic." The decision, she noted, "could potentially open the door to more LGBTQ staffers working in social services at religious nonprofits."

And because many of the state's social service programs are run by religious organizations, the ruling could have serious ripple effects far beyond just homeless shelters.

In response to the new development, Woods said he was relieved.

"To get the affirmation from the court that religious organizations don't have a right to blanket discriminate against LGBTQ people for who they are no matter what the job is a big relief," he said. "Especially for members of my community that are so much more likely to experience discrimination in the workplace because of their race or gender identity."

The mission, one of Seattle's largest homeless shelter and service organizations, declined to comment when contacted by the Times.

The Times report adds that "local religious organizations have been undergoing a reckoning in recent years, as same-sex marriage has gained acceptance from the general public."

Though not directly related to the case in Washington state, the ruling certainly represents the kind of legal challenges that could arise for religious organizations should the Equality Act pass both chambers of Congress and be signed into law.

The legislation, which passed in the House last month, may soon threaten punishment against individuals and organizations who still hold to traditional beliefs about marriage, gender identity, and sexual orientation.

Pentagon Assessing Its Networks for Possible Damage After Microsoft Breach, Spokesman Says

Earlier this week, Microsoft accused a Chinese hacking group known as "Hafnium" of breaching its Exchange Server email application. Microsoft had previously accused the company of attempting to steal information from infectious disease researchers, defense contractors, policy think tanks and non-governmental organizations.

Pentagon spokesperson John Kirby on Friday revealed the US Department of Defense was assessing its networks for possible damage after the Microsoft breach.

“We are aware of the Microsoft threat intelligence center’s report. We are currently assessing our networks right now for any evidence of impact,” Kirby said.

“We are also … taking all necessary steps to identify and remedy any possible issues related to the situation," he added.

The latest statement by the Pentagon comes after White House press secretary Jen Psaki said that the Biden administration is monitoring the Microsoft breach, which had a "large number of victims," the Hill reported.

“This is a significant vulnerability that could have far-reaching impacts. First and foremost, this is an active threat,” Psaki told reporters during the press briefing. However, she did not provide any information on whether any federal agencies were compromised by the hack. She did urge network operators who had been comprised to swiftly "take appropriate steps."

“Everyone running these servers — government, private sector, academia — needs to act now to patch them. We are concerned there are a large number of victims and we are working with our partners to understand the scope of this. So it’s an ongoing process," Psaki said, the Hill reported.

In a Thursday blog post, cybersecurity group FireEye said that the hackers had targeted “US-based retailers, local governments, a university, and an engineering firm" as well as a Southeast Asian government and a Central Asian telecom group.

The Czech Republic’s National Office for Cyber and Information Security also released a statement Friday stating it would assisting organizations impacted by the hack, suggesting that the hack has had international ramifications.

This week, the Department of Homeland Security also issued an emergency warning to any government agencies using the Exchange email software.

Since the breach, Microsoft has updated its software.

“Even though we’ve worked quickly to deploy an update for the Hafnium exploits, we know that many nation-state actors and criminal groups will move quickly to take advantage of any unpatched systems,” Tom Burt, Microsoft’s corporate vice president of customer trust and security, wrote in a blog post.

The US Arrests Mileta Miljanić, the Alleged Leader of ‘Group America’

U.S. authorities arrested the alleged leader of a criminal clan known as Group America, believed to have smuggled tons of cocaine across the world. The gang is known for dismembering enemies with chainsaws, assassinating senior government officials and cooperating with intelligence agencies.

The FBI arrested Mileta Miljanić in his home in New York during the search of his apartment on February 23, when officers found a gun in the drawer of his nightstand, according to documents obtained by OCCRP and its Serbian partner KRIK on Friday. Miljanić has a criminal history.

It is believed that the operation was part of a wider investigation.

Miljanić’s name appeared in the case of James Cahill, a labor leader who was arrested in October on bribery charges. Cahill had connections in the underworld, including with the famous Gambino Family, the Westies, an Irish gang that once operated in Manhattan, and Miljanić’s Group America.

Only two days after Miljanić’s arrest, a court in Lima sentenced his right-hand-man Zoran Jakšić, a Serbian national and leading member of Group America, to 25 years in prison for the second time.

Peruvian authorities originally sentenced Jakšić after he was apprehended by National Police in 2016 while attempting to smuggle 800 kilograms of cocaine out of the country. Media reports say that his initial conviction was overruled by an appeals court and he was granted a retrial.

Miljanić has also been known as one of the most powerful members of Balkan criminal networks, while his Group America is believed to have smuggled tons of cocaine across the world and trading on ties with intelligence agencies.

OCCRP, KRIK and Czech news outlet Investigace followed the decades-old criminal organization with roots in New York and the Balkans for years. The gang operates in dozens of countries and is believed to have been supplying Europe with tons of cocaine from South America.

Group America and Miljanić were also believed to have been maintaining ties with Serbian intelligence and political circles.

Miljanić appeared in a 2016 group photo with Ivica Dačić, current speaker of the Serbian National Assembly, who visited New York as Serbia’s then Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister.

Dačić denied knowing the suspected crime boss standing behind him in the photo and explained later that Miljanić was introduced to him as a major donor of the Serbian Orthodox Church in the U.S.

Israel is updating attack plans against Iran's nuclear sites - Gantz

Hezbollah has “hundreds of thousands of missiles” Defense Minister tells Fox News on Thursday. “What is going to happen to Lebanon?”

The IDF is updating its attack plans against Iran's nuclear facilities, Defense Minister Benny Gantz revealed on Thursday in an interview with Fox News.

"We have them [the attack plans] in our hands, but we will continue [to] constantly improve them," Gantz said.

"The Iranian nuclear aspiration must be stopped. If the world stops them before, it's very much good. But if not, we must stand independently and we must defend ourselves by ourselves," Gantz said.

Gantz spoke as US President Joe Biden is working to renew negotiations with the Iranians as part of an effort to return to the 2015 nuclear deal with Iran - known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan Of Action [JCPOA].

Israel is opposed to a return to the deal and has laid out a series of demands it would like to see addressed in a future deal.

On Thursday Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told US Vice President Kamala Harris that Israel was totally committed to preventing Iran from developing nuclear weapons designed to destroy Israel.

The White House said that the two leaders agreed on the need for close cooperation and partnership on regional security issues, "including Iran’s nuclear program and the regime’s dangerous regional behavior."

On Fox News Gantz warned against a return to the deal, noting that Iran could not be trusted.

"The Iranians are breaking everything that was agreed with them, they are bluffing," he said as he spoke of Iranian efforts to develop nuclear weapons.

He also spoke of the danger of the Iranian back Hezbollah militia group in Lebanon, that has Israel within its weapons scope.

Biden Extends National Emergency, Sanctions With Respect to Iran

On Friday, US President Joe Biden extended the state of emergency with respect to Iran, put in place by US President Jimmy Carter in 1979 during Iran's Islamic Revolution.

According to the Friday notice to Senate President Kamala Harris and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), Biden technically extended a 1995 emergency declaration, which prohibited investment in Iranian oil companies or in Iran's petroleum deposits. However, such a state of emergency has existed since 1979, when the Iranian Revolution overthrew Mohammed Reza Shah, the pro-Western monarch whose rule the US and UK had secured against a populist movement led by Prime Minister Mohammed Mossadeq 26 years earlier.

"The actions and policies of the Government of Iran continue to pose an unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security, foreign policy, and economy of the United States," the notice states. It enables the seizure of Iranian government assets and the imposition of economic sanctions against the Iranian economy.

"Days Away From A Crisis": 100,000 Illegal Immigrants Arrested At US Mexico Border; Most For February In 15 Years

This may come as a shock to Joe Biden supporters.

Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-Texas), whose Congressional district lies near the U.S.-Mexico border, warned that more than 10,000 illegal immigrants have been apprehended in a single border sector in Texas in about a week, with Reuters adding that a stunning 100,000 migrants were detained at the border in February, the highest arrest total for the month of February since 2006.

“We are weeks, maybe even days, away from a crisis on the southern border. Inaction is simply not an option,” the Texas Democrat said in a news release on Thursday.

“Our country is currently unprepared to handle a surge in migrants in the middle of the pandemic.”

As The Epoch Times' Jack Phillips notes, in recent days, Cuellar has issued warnings about what appears to be a looming humanitarian crisis at the border, adding that it will spread COVID-19 in southern Texas and other border communities. But now, his office has released figures showing Border Patrol in the Rio Grande Valley arrested about 10,000 illegal immigrants in the past week alone, according to the release, while adding that some 2,500 illegal immigrants have been apprehended in the past two days since the press statement was released.

According to Border Patrol data, agents also apprehended 5,700 unaccompanied child illegal immigrants in January.

Illegal immigrants are “potentially exposing border communities to the coronavirus and putting us at risk,” Cuellar said, guaranteeing the triggering of progressives everywhere.

“Right now, none of the migrants are being tested for COVID-19 by Border Patrol.”

“As a border representative, I will continue to fight in Washington for my community to ensure they have the necessary funding and resources to properly care for these migrants and to keep American families safe. I urge the Biden administration to listen and work with the communities on the southern border who are dealing with the surge of migrants,” he added.

Cuellar isn’t the only Texas member of Congress who is sounding the alarm. Rep. Vicente Gonzalez, another Democrat, did not mince words in how he described the current White House’s immigration policy and said a proposed bill is “catastrophic.”

“I can assure you, it won’t be long before we have tens of thousands of people showing up to our border, and it’ll be catastrophic for our country, for my region, for my district,” he told CNN. “In the middle of a pandemic, in an area where we’ve lost over 3,000 people in my small congressional district … I think we need to have a better plan in place.”

Biden administration officials have said that the border situation is not yet a “crisis” but is rather a “challenge.”

“What we are seeing now at the border is the immediate result of the dismantlement of the system and the time that it takes to rebuild it virtually from scratch,” Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas told reporters, suggesting that the previous administration was at fault.

Bill Gates Foundation Funded Genomics Firm ‘Mining’ DNA Data Through COVID Tests.

BGI Genomics—the Chinese Communist Party-linked genomics firm flagged by U.S. officials as “mining” the DNA of Americans—has collaborated extensively with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, The National Pulse can reveal.

The company has recently come under fire following a 60 Minutes exposé on the company’s use of COVID-19 tests to “collect, store and exploit biometric information” on American citizens, according to former U.S. intelligence officials. What’s more, a recent Reuters article linked the firm to the Chinese Communist Party’s military.

In addition to the Obama administration enabling the firm to gain a foothold in the U.S., the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation played a critical role in BGI’s American expansion.

In September of 2012, the Microsoft founder’s foundation signed a “Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to form a collaboration on global health and agricultural development with the goal of achieving common objectives in health and agricultural development.”

The co-founder of BGI praised the agreement, celebrating the forthcoming “scientific breakthroughs in the areas of human, plant and animal genomics.” He also revealed that the collaborative efforts focused on sequencing genomes—the precise activity flagged for national security threats in the 60 Minutes segment:

“Having contributed to the Human Genome Project as well as sequencing the genomes of many critical plant and animal species and human diseases, including the initial sequencing of the rice genome as well as our involvement in the Rice 10,000 Genome Project, the 1,000 Plants and Animals Genome Project, the International 1,000 genomes project, the 1,000 Rare Diseases Project, the International Cancer Genome Project, Autism Genome 10K, among others, BGI looks forward to partnering with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in this significant collaboration to apply genomics research to benefit global human health.”

The memorandum predates Gates’s 2010 visit to BGI’s China-based headquarters, where he witnessed the company’s genetic sequencing operation as described by the Financial Times:

With row after row of high-tech machinery humming inside, the place could easily be mistaken for an anonymous data warehouse. As they toured the BGI headquarters, the two men were stunned by the ambition of the scientists working at the biotech company. Inside, more than 150 state of the art genetic sequencing machines were analysing the equivalent of thousands of human genomes a day. The company is working towards a goal of building a huge library based on the DNA of many millions of people. BGI executives see this not as the end-game, but as the springboard for new drug discoveries, advanced genetic research and a transformation of public health policy.

Yip praised the endeavor as “out-of-the-box,” “open,” and “liberal”:

“We were taken aback. We never thought we would find such an out-of-the-box approach. They are in their own league — open and liberal. Most people only see them as a service provider for DNA analysis. It is the database they are building that will make them formidable.”

The Gates Foundation has also funded BGI projects relating to genome sequencing alongside Chinese Communist Party bodies such as the Ministry of Science and Technology and Academy of Agricultural Sciences.

Similarly, Dr. Tadataka Yamada, the former president of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s global health program, serves as the Chairman of BGI’s Scientific Advisory Board.
