Now, it’s the US Army targeting General Michael Flynn over the phony “emoluments” clause.

The Washington Post reported:

The Defense Department’s internal watchdog has concluded a long-delayed investigation into Michael Flynn, defense officials said Friday, sending its findings to the Army in a case that could bring tens of thousands of dollars in financial penalties for President Donald Trump’s first national security adviser.

The investigation focuses on Flynn’s acceptance of money from Russian and Turkish interests before joining the Trump administration, a potential violation of the Constitution’s emoluments clause. With few exceptions, U.S. officials, including retired service members like Flynn, are prohibited from accepting money or gifts from foreign governments. Flynn retired from the Army as a three-star general in 2014.

The inspector general’s investigation, opened in April 2017, was put on hold for more than three years amid a broader scandal that included a criminal investigation of Flynn by the Justice Department — part of what would become the investigation of Trump’s first presidential campaign and Russian interference in the 2016 election led by former FBI director Robert S. Mueller III.

The Supreme Court dismissed a similar case against President Trump in January because he was no longer in office.

The Supreme Court declined on Monday to hear a case concerning whether former President Donald Trump violated provisions of the Constitution that bar a president from profiting from a foreign government.

The court instructed the lower courts to wipe away previous lower court opinions that went against Trump because he is no longer in office.

Flynn was no longer a general when he worked with a foreign government.

‘Largest investigation in American history’: 100+ people to be charged in storming of US Capitol, court filings say

At least another hundred people connected to the January 6 storming of the US Capitol are expected to be charged with a variety of crimes, according to prosecutors.

“The investigation continues and the government expects that at least one hundred additional individuals will be charged,” claimed the prosecutors in court filings first reported by Fox News on Friday, noting that 300 people have already been charged and that the Justice Department is also “investigating conspiratorial activity” that may have taken place before the riot.

They added that the investigation and subsequent prosecution “will likely be one of the largest in American history, both in terms of the number of defendants prosecuted and the nature and volume of the evidence.”

Crimes being investigated allegedly include trespassing, violent conduct, assault against police officers, the theft and destruction of government property, civil disorder, conspiracy, and “firearms offenses,” among others.

The court filings also claimed that over 900 search warrants have been conducted around the country since the incident, and that over 15,000 hours of footage has been compiled as evidence.

Supporters of former President Donald Trump stormed the US Capitol on January 6, just two weeks before the inauguration of President Joe Biden, to protest Trump’s electoral defeat. One Capitol Police officer and four protesters died during the incident, and many others were injured.

The Biden administration used the storming of the Capitol to post thousands of National Guard soldiers in Washington, DC – where they have been positioned for over two months, despite a lack of violent activity in the area – and have requested to keep the soldiers there through late May, despite the National Guard Association calling it “completely inappropriate at best” and “illegal at worst.”

A poll showed that Americans have been more concerned about violent riots that took place in cities across the country during the summer of 2020 than the January 6 storming of the Capitol, but believe those involved in the Capitol incident will be held more accountable for their actions than the rioters last year.

Mass protests across Germany mark one year of anti-coronavirus restrictions (VIDEOS)

Several separate rallies were held in Germany’s capital city of Berlin. The largest one, with some 1,000 people in attendance according to police estimates, began at noon outside the federal health ministry.

The event was not marred by any major incident, the police said, with the officers present at the scene primarily focused on checking that participants were properly masked.

Minor clashes between the police and protesters have been reported in the eastern German city of Dresden. Despite failing to secure authorization for the event, hundreds of anti-lockdown activists gathered in the city’s center, while law enforcement tried to push them back and urged them to disperse in an orderly manner.

The first anti-coronavirus restrictions were rolled out across Germany on March 13 last year, with most of the country’s states ordering the closure of schools and nurseries, while Bundesliga opted to postpone all its football matches. The restrictions have been repeatedly eased and re-tightened across the country since then.

Last month, the government presented a five-step plan that envisions gradual lifting of the measures depending on the seven-day Covid-19 infection rate. Still, a full reopening might not come anytime soon, as the country has seen cases rise in recent weeks.

Moreover, Germany may face a new spike in April on par with – and above – the figures registered ahead of Christmas last year, experts with the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) for infectious diseases have warned.

“An extrapolation of the trends shows that case numbers can be expected above the Christmas level from week 14 onwards,” the RKI said in its current situation report on Saturday.

So far, Germany has registered over 2.5 million cases of coronavirus, including more than 73,000 deaths, according to the latest RKI figures.

"We Expect The Worst" - German Towns To Lose Millions In Greensill Bank Collapse

Germany's Bafin has frozen accounts at Greensill's Gremany-based bank as its parent company's debt-repackaging business has tumbled into administration. And unfortunately, the demise of the bank will likely take tens of millions of euros of public money that had been invested in short-term high-interest accounts.

Millions of dollars belonging to German municipalities had reportedly been parked at the Bremen, Germany-based bank. And because towns and cities aren't protected by a German deposit-protection scheme that shields assets belonging to individuals, town managers and elected officials fear they won't be able to recover the taxpayer money, adding to the financial strain as the world struggles to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Germany's economy is still in a partial COVID-19-inspired lockdown. After losing out on countless tax revenue, towns may be forced to do without deposits parked at Greensill Bank, which apparently had been recommended to dozens of Germany towns by a pair of brokerages that help municipalities park their cash.

One town, Monheim on Rhein, parked €38M with Greensill Bank.

Monheim am Rhein disclosed it parked 38 million euros in funds with Greensill Bank, nearly 1,000 euros per resident.

Its mayor Daniel Zimmermann said he was in touch with 19 municipalities who together hold 200 million euros ($238 million) in investments with the bank.

An emergency meeting in Monheim on Tuesday discussed the fallout, and whether internal mistakes were made or whether brokers who helped make the investments should bear some of the blame.

"We don’t want to shun responsibility, but others may be at fault," Zimmermann told Reuters.

Zimmermann said that two of the brokers it used CC Gesellschaft für Geld- und Devisenhandel mbH and Witt GmbH & Co. KG were also used by other towns.

Another town that lost €2M said it's hoping for the best - but expects to lose it all.

“We have to find out what happened,” Alexander Stengelin, a Bad Duerrheim official told Reuters.

For Bad Duerrheim, which says it has 2 million euros with the bank, Stengelin said that the town felt comfortable that two brokers independently recommended Greensill Bank.

And while it had been reassured by the fact that the money would be close to home in a bank in Germany rather than offshore, it was not now hopeful of recovering its cash.

"We expect the worst, but hope for the best," he said.

US declares Huawei threat to national security, pouring cold water on Beijing’s hopes for reset with Washington

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has deemed Chinese telecom giant Huawei a threat to US national security, maintaining pressure on Beijing that some believed could ease under the new Biden administration.

The FCC announced on Friday that the firm, as well as four other Chinese companies, pose “an unacceptable risk to US national security or the security and safety of US persons.”

The regulator’s acting chief, Jessica Rosenworcel, said that the move would help “restore trust” in US communications networks. She did not explain what specific actions would be taken against the Chinese companies. Huawei has not yet responded to the designation.

The decision comes just a day after Bloomberg reported that the Biden administration issued new restrictions on Huawei, preventing US firms from supplying the Chinese telecom with products that can be used in 5G devices. American businesses had previously been allowed to supply Huawei with components, provided that they sought permission from the US government.

Beijing slammed the new rule as “unreasonable suppression” aimed at Chinese companies, and accused Washington of “violating the principles of market economy and fair competition.”

Huawei’s designation as a national security threat matches the hardline policy implemented by the preceding administration under Donald Trump. In June, the FCC blacklisted the firm as a danger to US interests, blocking American firms from using an $8.3 billion government fund to purchase equipment from companies. Huawei filed a legal challenge against the designation last month.

The Chinese tech giant had expressed hope that the new administration would take a different approach to trade issues. Victor Zhang, the company’s vice president, said in an interview in November that the attacks on Huawei were politically motivated and part of a “trade war” between the US and China, adding that Washington’s tune might change once Biden takes office.

As it launched a tariff war against Beijing, the Trump administration pressured Washington’s allies to reject business with Huawei and avoid using Chinese technology as they develop their 5G networks. Both the Chinese government and Huawei have repeatedly denied that the firm poses a threat to the US or any other nation.

Deutsche Bank jacked up its investment banking bonus pool by almost 50% after what was a blowout year for markets, bringing the total to 413 million euros ($492MM) And with Treasury yields rising heralding higher borrowing costs in the not-too-distant future, the bank laid out a mixed picture for the rest of 2021.

It's certainly a welcome change for DB's bankers, who had grown accustomed to paltry scraps over the past 10 years as the German bank embarked on a hair-raising string of money-losing quarters (the bank posted annual losses for the fourth year in the last five during 2019, before swinging to profitability in 2020).

US judge temporarily removes China’s Xiaomi from Trump-era blacklist

A US judge has temporarily removed Chinese smartphone giant Xiaomi from a Trump-era blacklist prohibiting American investment in “Communist Chinese military companies.”

The ruling was announced by US District Judge Rudolph Contreras in Washington on Friday. The judge argued that the US Departments of Defense and Treasury “have not made the case that the national security interests at stake here are compelling,” issuing a preliminary injunction removing Xiaomi from the blacklist.

Xiaomi was hit with the ban as then-President Donald Trump took a fresh series of hostile moves against China during his last days in office. The smartphone maker and several other China-based businesses have been classified as “Communist Chinese military companies” by the Pentagon and barred from receiving American investment.

The company challenged the ban in the US courts this January, arguing that the Trump administration’s actions were “incorrect” and “deprived the company of legal due process” altogether. Hailing the temporary lift of the ban, the company vowed to continue its legal battle to have the Pentagon’s designation overturned completely.

“Xiaomi believes that the decision of designating it as a ‘Chinese Communist Military Company’ is arbitrary and capricious, and the judge agrees with it,” a spokesperson for Xiaomi told Chinese media in a statement on Saturday.

Xiaomi plans to continue to request that the court declare the designation unlawful, and permanently remove the designation.

The court ruling came on the same day US regulators took a new hostile stance against several Chinese companies, including telecom giants Huawei and ZTE. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) said the companies pose “an unacceptable risk to US national security or the security and safety of US persons.”

While it was not immediately clear what restrictions might stem from the designation, the move left yet another dent on the hopes of a possible rapprochement between China and the US under President Joe Biden. Earlier this week, Washington reportedly imposed new restrictions on Huawei, banning US firms from supplying the Chinese giant with any products that can be used in 5G devices.

Defense Attorney Predicts Chauvin Will Be Acquitted After Jurors Learn George Floyd Died Of Fentanyl Overdose

A defense attorney predicts Derek Chauvin will be acquitted after jurors learn George Floyd died of a lethal combination of methamphetamine and fentanyl.

Former defense attorney Edward Woodson appeared on Patriotically Correct with Stew Peters, a conservative Minneapolis-based radio host, to discuss the likelihood that former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin will be acquitted on charges relating to the death of fentanyl user and alleged fraudster George Floyd.

Woodson began by noting that, in a last minute move, the prosecution is now charging Chauvin with third degree murder. They brought back the third degree murder charge because the second degree was imploding,” said Woodson. “It’s a Hail Mary, they knew that the case wasn’t supporting the facts.”

“If you look at more of the video, [Floyd] was talking about how he couldn’t breathe… Right when he’s getting out of the car, and they’re trying to get him into the police car, he’s complaining he can’t breathe,” said Woodson. “That’s one of the signs of fentanyl overdose. The toxicology report has now come out, where he had 3 times the level of fentanyl needed to kill a human being, that and methamphetamine.”

The Minneapolis medical examiner found Floyd had a toxic amount of fentanyl and methamphetamine in his system, which almost certainly would have resulted in his death regardless of any actions by police. Still, Chauvin became nationally despised after video of him kneeling on Floyd’s back and neck went viral online.

“It’s interesting because if you look at Minneapolis and their manual, he was following textbook, exactly how they’re trained,” said Woodson. Peters, who spent years apprehending dangerous fugitives in partnership with law enforcement in Minneapolis, elaborated on the tactics used by Chauvin.

“This is part of Minneapolis procedures, use of force training, it’s in their policy. This is a lateral neck restraint, commonly referred to as an LNR, LVNR, or VNR, a lateral vascular neck restraint, which in this case was more of just a straight vascular neck restraint,” Peters explained. “It restricts blood flow to the brain, but does not commonly result in death. As a matter of fact, there are no cases where it’s proven that this restraint has caused any death.”

Woodson suggested that once a jury, unable to be reached by sensationalist media reports and confronted with the solid facts surrounding Floyd’s death, may be shocked to learn how normal the arrest would have been if not for Floyd’s drug use.

“The facts have not come out. I think once a jury hears the facts of the case, because think about this,” Woodson began, “If he died as the result of an overdose, in fact it was said, the ME in Minneapolis had said, if they had found him, let’s say at his home, and they found him dead, they would have declared he died of an overdose.”

“Again, he had enough fentanyl – just the fentanyl – in his system to kill three human beings.”

In fact, Floyd had ingested a chemical cocktail of both fentanyl and methamphetamine that almost certainly would have resulted in death, barring immediate medical intervention.

Woodson went on to suggest that the Minneapolis prosecutors likely felt political pressure from the media and local elected officials to “over charge” in the case, regardless of the reality of Floyd’s death.

“With these very high profile cases, where you see, a lot of times the prosecution will over charge, because they have to politically,” said Woodson. “This whole country changed because of, supposedly, because of George Floyd. The whole country.”

“We’ve gone through this whole metamorphosis now, where we’re embroiled in the French Revolution.” Woodson elaborated, “If the premise of this, ie the murder of George Floyd, isn’t a murder, and it is an actual overdose, then you’ve got that whole narrative now flipped, and we’ve got to question, now, the last year.”

In a striking blow to Gov. Greg Abbott, the Texas Republican Party has officially come out in support of the First Amendment and Free Speech, disagreeing with the demanded censorship by Texas Governor Greg Abbott. The Texas Republican Party created a Gab account in January of 2021.

“The [Republican Party of Texas] will always fight censorship,” the party said in a statement. “We support the 1st Amendment, including free speech platforms.” They added, “TexasGOP has no plan to deplatform from any of our social media accounts. The 1st Amendment still shines brightly in the Lone Star State.”

This comes after Greg Abbott claimed Gab was “anti-Semetic” and has “no place in Texas” while sitting in front of the American, Israeli, and Texas flags. Texas GOP Vice Chair, Cat Parks also came out against the first amendment and demanding the GOP delete it’s Gab Account in a public statement.

It should be noted that Cat Parks is known for working against Texas GOP Chairman Allen West and the grassroots activists in Texas. Most recently, her statement that the party should not focus on passing Republican priorities led some Republicans to wonder about her conservative bona fides.

UK warns China is in state of ‘non-compliance’ after Hong Kong ‘patriot’ electoral reform

UK Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab declared China to be in a state of non-compliance with the Sino-British Joint Declaration, accusing the nation of restricting democracy in Hong Kong.

“Beijing’s decision to impose radical changes to restrict participation in Hong Kong’s electoral system constitutes a further clear breach of the legally binding Sino-British Joint Declaration,” Raab said in an official government press release on Saturday, accusing China of trying to “harass and stifle all voices critical” of its policies.

Raab went on to declare that the UK, which controlled Hong Kong from 1841 to 1997, now officially “considers Beijing to be in a state of ongoing non-compliance with the Joint Declaration,” which he called “a demonstration of the growing gulf between Beijing’s promises and its actions,” and said the country “must act in accordance with its legal obligations and respect fundamental rights and freedoms in Hong Kong.”

The Sino-British Joint Declaration, which was signed in 1984 by former UK Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher and former Chinese Premier Zhao Ziyang, declared that Hong Kong would be allowed to follow a separate political system to that of mainland China despite being a Chinese territory.

Raab’s statement comes after China passed the ‘patriots governing Hong Kong’ resolution on Thursday, “improving the electoral system” in the territory by introducing a requirement that will only allow ‘patriots’ to govern if they pledge their loyalty to the Chinese Communist Party.

Critics have claimed that the changes are designed to suppress opposition in the region, while Beijing has defended the new measures by claiming they’re necessary to protect stability and national security, arguing that individuals who aren’t ‘patriots’ could work with foreign powers to undermine and weaken the nation to the benefit of the West.

World Health Organization COVID investigator Peter Daszak – who The National Pulse recently exposed as having financial links to the Chinese Communist Party – has revealed he was responsible for convincing fellow investigators that it wasn’t necessary to look into data wiped by the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

In a stunning revelation during a panel discussion, Daszak disseminated wild conspiracy theories in an attempt to blame anyone except his financial benefactors the Chinese Communist Party for the continuing virus origin mystery.

Daszak bizarrely laid into War Room: Pandemic show host Stephen K. Bannon and The Epoch Times newspaper for creating what he called an environment whereby the Chinese Communist Party wouldn’t want to be transparent about COVID-19’s origins. Both entities have called for fuller investigations into the Wuhan lab, shunning the idea that the virus came from a wet market or a bat.

Daszak, however, continues to cover for his paymasters while holding a position at the World Health Organization.

He said, during his recent livestream:

“I’ve seen incredible efforts from everything from [religious sect] Falun Gong to the [Chinese dissident] Miles Guo camp, Steve Bannon’s group pushing the conspiracy theories around China. It’s useful to them. They’re funding it and pushing it and science has been to some extent caught up in that to other instances absolutely crushed by it. We’ve not had access to work in China on the origins for the last 12 months, which is ironic because we could have been on the ground there working with our Chinese colleagues and by now we could have found some really important answers. The rhetoric has held that up.”

The remarks follow a National Pulse report highlighting how Daszak collaborated with the Wuhan Institute of Virology for nearly two decades. He also speaks at Chinese state-run media conferences, and recently received “federal funding from China.”

Daszak even seemed to imply that he was personally responsible for convincing fellow World Health Organization (WHO) investigators that critical COVID-origin data recently erased by the Wuhan Institute of Virology was irrelevant.

Kevin McCarthy reveals House Democrats are trying to 'steal' seat from sitting GOP congresswoman

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy warned Friday that House Democrats are trying to "steal" a House seat from Republicans.

The Democrat-controlled House Administration Committee announced Wednesday they would not dismiss Democrat Rita Hart's claims that she is the rightful winner of Iowa's second congressional district in the 2020 election. Hart lost to Republican Mariannette Miller-Meeks by just six votes.

Miller-Meeks sought to dismiss Hart's challenge, but the Administration Committee voted down party lines to reject Miller-Meeks' motion.

Hart challenged the election outcome in December under the Federal Contested Election Act. Hart claims 22 legally cast ballots went uncounted in the election, but if they were counted, the net result would make her the winner of the election.

Hart's challenge is particularly controversial because Miller-Meek's victory was confirmed by a recount and a "bipartisan canvassing of the ballots cast in the race," the Iowa City Press-Citizen reported. Hart also refused to exhaust her legal remedies in Iowa courts before appealing directly to the House.

What did McCarthy say?

Speaking with Fox News host Sean Hannity, McCarthy said House Democrats are seriously considering Hart's claims because they want to "steal" the seat from Miller-Meeks and expand their slim five-seat majority over Republicans.

"Congresswoman Miller-Meeks not only won on Election Day, she is the duly elected congresswoman. She also won the recount. She is certified; she is serving," McCarthy said. "She's on the [House Veterans' Affairs] Committee as well, she has offered an amendment against that COVID bill to help the vets. The Democrats voted against it."

"But what is really happening here, Sean, you know it," McCarthy continued. "The Democrats have the smallest majority in their history in the last 100 years — only five seats."

"So, every seat they can steal helps them be able to pass the most socialist things they can," the California Republican explained.

McCarthy also accused Democrats of "hypocrisy" for challenging the election of a duly-elected congresswoman but denouncing all attempts by former President Donald Trump's to challenge President Joe Biden's victory.

Authorities initially responded to a call of shots fired in the area and arrived to find a home in flames and the body of one gunman wearing tactical gear. Firefighters arrived soon after to put out the flames. Inside the house, authorities found four other gunmen who were shot during the attack. Investigators found the floor of the house littered with bullet casings pointing to a shootout with a rival cartel.

The city of Miguel Aleman is immediately south of Roma, Texas and is considered one of the most important smuggling corridors for humans and drugs alike.

Iran, China propose plan to form coalition against sanctions

China, Russia, North Korea, Iran, and others are seeking support for a coalition to defend the United Nations Charter by pushing back against the use or threat of force and unilateral sanctions, according to a letter seen by Reuters on Thursday.

The move by 16 countries and the Palestinians to create such a group comes as U.S. President Joe Biden’s new administration boosts its multilateral engagement and with allies, reversing former President Donald Trump’s favored unilateral approach as he focused on an “America First” policy.

Biden has also pledged to take on China at the United Nations, where Beijing has been pushing for greater global influence in a challenge to traditional U.S. leadership.

A concept note for the “Group of Friends in Defense of the Charter of the United Nations,” seen by Reuters, states that multilateralism “is currently under an unprecedented attack, which, in turn, threatens global peace and security.”

Other founding members of the group are Algeria, Angola, Belarus, Bolivia, Cambodia, Cuba, Eritrea, Laos, Nicaragua, Saint Vincent, and the Grenadines, Syria, and Venezuela.

While Censoring Trump, Twitter Exploited Section 230 & Published Photos Of Sex Trafficking Victim

When the history of President Trump is written, there will be a section devoted to his media declared 'obsession' with repealing Section 230 of the Communication Decency Act, which protects businesses that operate online from liability - and allowed them to censor indiscriminately. The section will have an asterisk buried with a footnoted source to the story of Twitter who used that same loophole to exploit a sex trafficking victim for profit, without culpability.

Twitter is requesting that a federal court in Florida dismiss a lawsuit filed by a child sex trafficking victim, who alleged that the social media giant refused to immediately remove explicit content depicting the child on its platform.

The January lawsuit is accusing the Silicon Valley company of knowingly benefiting financially from the dissemination of sexual abuse material in failing to act on multiple complaints and correspondences asking it to remove the illegal and hurtful content.

The content was eventually removed about nine days after the child

and his family placed complaints to Twitter. The family and the child victim allege that Twitter only took action because a Department of Homeland Security agent issued a “take-down demand” against the company when other methods to get the company to remove the content failed.

“Twitter is not a passive, inactive, intermediary in the distribution of this harmful material; rather, Twitter has adopted an active role in the dissemination and knowing promotion and distribution of this harmful material,” the lawsuit states.

It further alleges that “Twitter’s own policies, practices, business model, and technology architecture encourage and profit from the distribution of sexual exploitation material.”

The lawsuit claims that Twitter failed in its duty to report child sexual abuse material, and was negligent in refusing to take action, allowing the content to be viewed over 167,000 times and re-tweeted 2,200 times before it was taken down.

“Twitter’s conduct is an extreme departure from what a reasonably careful person would do in the same situation to prevent harm

to others,” the lawsuit argues.

In a court filing on Wednesday, Twitter did not address allegations that it had “refused” to immediately remove the content after the complaints were made.

Before COVID, Gates planned social media censorship of vaccine safety advocates with Pharma, CDC, Media, China and CIA

In October 2019, shortly before the COVID outbreak, Gates and other powerful individuals began planning how to censor vaccine safety advocates from social media during a table-top simulation of a worldwide pandemic, known as Event 201.

Over the last two weeks, Facebook and other social media sites have deplatformed me and many other critics of regulatory corruption and authoritarian public health policies. So, here is some fodder for those of you who have the eerie sense that the government/industry pandemic response feels like it was planned — even before there was a pandemic.

The attached document shows that a cabal of powerful individuals did indeed begin planning the mass eviction of vaccine skeptics from social media in October 2019, a week or two before COVID began circulating. That month, Microsoft founder Bill Gates organized an exercise of four “table-top” simulations of a worldwide coronavirus pandemic with other high-ranking “Deep State” panjandrums. The exercise was referred to as Event 201.

Gates’ co-conspirators included representatives from the World Bank, the World Economic Forum (Great Reset), Bloomberg/Johns Hopkins University Populations Center, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, various media powerhouses, the Chinese government, a former Central Intelligence Agency/National Security Agency director (there is no such thing as a former CIA officer), vaccine maker Johnson & Johnson, the finance and biosecurity industries and Edelman, the world’s leading corporate PR firm.

At Gates’ direction, these eminences role-played members of a Pandemic Control Council, wargaming government strategies for controlling the pandemic, the narrative and the population. Needless to say, there was little talk of building immune systems, off-the-shelf remedies or off-patent therapeutic drugs and vitamins, but lots of chatter about promoting uptake of new patentable antiviral drugs and vaccines.

But the participants primarily focused on planning industry-centric, fear-mongering, police-state strategies for managing an imaginary global coronavirus contagion culminating in mass censorship of social media.

Oddly, Gates now claims that the simulation didn’t occur. On April 12, 2020, Gates told BBC, “Now here we are. We didn’t simulate this, we didn’t practice, so both the health policies and economic policies, we find ourselves in uncharted territory.”

Unfortunately for that whopper, the videos of the event are still available across the internet. They show that Gates and team did indeed simulate health and economic policies. It’s hard to swallow that Gates has forgotten.

Gates’s Event 201 simulated COVID epidemic caused 65 million deaths at the 18-month endpoint and global economic collapse lasting up to a decade. Compared to the Gates simulation, therefore, the actual COVID-19 crisis is a bit of a dud, having imposed a mere 2.5 million deaths “attributed to COVID” over the past 13 months.

The deaths “attributed to COVID” in the real-life situation are highly questionable, and must be seen in the context of a global population of 7.8 billion, with about 59 million deaths expected annually. The predictions of decade-long economic collapse will probably prove more accurate — but only because of the draconian lockdown promoted by Gates.

Federal records show $140,000 in consulting fees amid historic Democratic victories.

A Republican contender in Virginia's gubernatorial race previously ran a marketing firm that at one point provided consulting services to a major Democratic political client during the historic 2006 "Blue Wave" that saw both the U.S. House and Senate flip to Democrat control.

Pete Snyder, who announced his run for Virginia governor in January of this year, ran the New Media Strategies public relations agency from 1999-2011. That firm, currently owned by Meredith Corporation, was hailed for its visionary approach to political media management, with Snyder being touted as possibly the first PR man in the country to utilize the internet to help politicians and corporations guide their messaging strategies.

New Media Strategies was well-known under Snyder for its focus on conservative and Republican candidates. Yet records from the Federal Elections Commission show that Snyder's firm in at least one instance performed consulting work for a Democratic campaign arm during the election cycle in which Democrats seized majorities in both chambers of Congress.

FEC data lists the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee as having paid $140,000 in fees to New Media Strategies from late 2005 to mid-2006, mostly listed in increments of $17,500.

One disbursement in the FEC database was listed as $175,000, though hard-copy filings list the number as $17,500. The Snyder campaign told Just the News the lower amount was the correct number.

FEC spokesman Christian Hilland said the hard-copy filing was the accurate figure.

"Back then, senate reports were filed on paper and our contractor would have to manually data enter each transaction leading to human entry errors," Hilland said, adding that the FEC would correct the error in its database.

The expenditures were made as payment for "cons./prof.serv. political," according to FEC notations.

Asked about those services during an interview with Sophie Mann on "Just the News A.M." this week, Snyder downplayed the connection and said he did not participate in any consulting work with the DSCC.

"I had a large company that worked with Republicans, worked with independents, worked with Democrats," he said. "Ninety percent of our business was corporate business."

"I ran and headed up the Republican business," Snyder said. "We had Democrats that did work doing monitoring and things like that for Democrats. They would not let me near that business at all because I was a known conservative."

Beijing Seizes Upon Fauci’s Call for Solidarity to Push COVID-19 Propaganda

Chinese state media has raved over Dr. Anthony Fauci’s recent calls for solidarity to combat the pandemic, using his comments to bolster Beijing’s virus narratives.

As the top U.S. infectious disease expert and chief medical advisor to President Joe Biden, Fauci appeared with top Chinese epidemiologist Zhong Nanshan in early March during an online forum hosted by the University of Edinburgh—their first public event together over the issue.

In a nearly hour-long video panel themed around “the future of health,” the two repeatedly highlighted the need for collaboration, a message that Chinese authorities have frequently adopted to fend off criticism of its initial coverup of the outbreak.

Zhong, who one Chinese official has described as “China’s Fauci,” earned international prominence for helping the regime manage the SARS outbreak that originated from the country in late 2002. Zhong has championed state narratives about its handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, including by stating the regime was “completely transparent” compared to SARS, and lending credibility to Beijing’s claims that the virus could spread via imported foods—a theory dismissed by Western scientists.

Zhong, during the event, credited the regime’s heavy-handed lockdown policies for China having “the least” number of COVID-19 infections and deaths, compared to most other countries. Critics and leaked internal documents, however, have disputed the regime’s official COVID-19 figures as being vast undercounts of the real number. Snap lockdowns across the country, meanwhile, have led to complaints of starvation and harsh treatment at quarantine centers.

The virus, Zhong said, is “a common enemy of the human being.” “Just like dealing with the climate, just like dealing with the air pollution, we were on the same goal to deal with that,” he said.

Zhong praised Biden for rejoining the World Health Organization. The Trump administration withdrew from the body last year over its role in enabling Beijing’s coverup of the outbreak by repeating its talking points downplaying the severity of the virus in the early stages. Zhong added that the “politicization” of public health measures was his “greatest fear.”

Meanwhile, Fauci described vaccines from China as “highly efficacious,” and cast “solidarity and cooperation” as a “moral obligation” to bring the virus under control.

Fauci, later in the event, said “I would underscore everything that Professor Zhong said.”

“We are all in it together, every single country,” Fauci said during the conversation. “To emphasize something that both of us said, If we do not completely suppress this, we will continue to be challenged by variants, which have a way of coming back to bite us.”

Russia Detains Around 200 People, Including Leading Opposition Figures, at Moscow Meeting

MOSCOW—Russian police detained around 200 people, including several prominent opposition figures, at a meeting of independent and opposition politicians in Moscow on Saturday, the interior ministry said.

The detentions come amid a crackdown on anti-Kremlin sentiment, following the arrest and imprisonment of opposition politician Alexei Navalny who returned to Russia in January after recovering from a nerve agent poisoning in Siberia.

The Moscow forum, scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, was a gathering of municipal deputies from all over the country, Andrei Pivovarov, the event’s organizer and executive director of Open Russia, a British-based group founded by exiled former oil tycoon and Kremlin critic Mikhail Khodorkovsky, told radio station Echo Moskvy.

As the forum got underway, police entered the building and began detaining attendees and taking them to police vans waiting outside, video footage from TV Rain and Russian news agencies showed.

The Moscow branch of Russia’s interior ministry said around 200 people had been detained and that an investigation was underway.

Police said those detained were not following the appropriate anti-coronavirus health measures even though footage showed most of them wearing masks. They said some of those attending the forum had links to an “undesirable organization.”

“A significant portion of participants lacked personal protective equipment,” the police said. “Members of an organization whose activities are considered undesirable on Russian territory were among the participants.”

OVD-Info, which monitors the detention of political protesters and activists, put the number of detainees at more than 170.

“The finale of the short forum was very symbolic: deputies in police vans and masked police twisting people’s arms,” one detainee, opposition politician Ilya Yashin, wrote on Facebook.

“But no one promised us freedom on a silver platter. Russia will still be free.”

Vladimir Kara-Murza, vice-president of the Free Russia Foundation, a Washington-based non-profit organization, shared a picture from the inside of a police van after he was detained.

TV Rain said Yevgeny Roizman, the former mayor of Yekaterinburg, and Moscow city councilor Yulia Galyamina were also detained.

Open Russia is one of more than 30 groups that Moscow has labeled as undesirable and banned under a law adopted in 2015.

Deborah Birx Joins George W. Bush Institute, Takes Job Making COVID-Cleansing Air Purifiers

Birx announced two new jobs on Friday: One working for the George W. Bush Institute, and another for a company that specializes in slowing the spread of COVID-19.

Deborah Birx, who was often seen next to Anthony Fauci during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, until National File exposed that she allowed her medical license to expire and she soon left her government position, has now joined the George W. Bush Institute, and has taken a job where she will design purifiers to remove COVID-19 particles from the air.

Yesterday, a press release from the George W. Bush Institute proudly announced that Birx would join its ranks as a Senior Fellow. “In the role, she will leverage her significant expertise in global health, pandemic response, and health systems to support the Bush Institute’s portfolio of work. She will also take on policy initiatives on how to better position our country to tackle health disparities in the future based off the lessons learned from the COVID-19 pandemic.”

Birx is quoted as saying she is “thrilled” to join the ranks of the George W. Bush Institute, and declared, “President and Mrs. Bush witnessed the impact of the global HIV/AIDS epidemic 20 years ago and responded by founding the Global Fund and PEPFAR. They believed the crisis could be tackled with people, funding, and compassion for others.”

On the very same day, it was reported that Birx would take a job at ActivePure Technology, “a Texas manufacturer that says its products reduce COVID-19 on surfaces and in the air.” Birx will “be chief scientific and medical adviser, ActivePure CEO Joseph Urso said.”

It is unclear how much Birx will be compensated for her new roles in the private sector, but her net worth has been estimated to be between $1 million and $5 million.

In its reporting, Newsmax fails to note that Birx received criticism for allowing her medical license to expire, but instead claims Birx “was criticized for not standing up to former President Donald Trump as he downplayed the virus and spread misinformation about its transmission.”

As National File reported, Birx’s medical license “was issued a medical license in Pennsylvania in 1987.” However, “That license expired on December 31, 2014, and it has not been renewed since then, according to the Pennsylvania Licensing System Verification Service, courtesy of the Pennsylvania Department of State.”

FLASHBACK: Tragic Stories of Unaccompanied Minors Under the Obama Administration

The last time we had a crisis with unaccompanied minors at the border was following the Obama administration’s adoption of a “catch and release” policy. The administration adopted this policy to get around the restrictions about how long they could detain a child at the border. From Reuters in 2014:

An estimated 60,000 such children will pour into the United States this year, according to the administration, up from about 6,000 in 2011. Now, Washington is trying to figure out how to pay for their food, housing and transportation once they are taken into custody.

The flow is expected to grow. The number of unaccompanied, undocumented immigrants who are under 18 will likely double in 2015 to nearly 130,000 and cost U.S. taxpayers $2 billion, up from $868 million this year, according to administration estimates.

Now, the Biden administration is facing a similar crisis, despite having already effectively adopted a policy of “catch and release.” The administration’s goal is to process all migrant families and release them within 72 hours. However, with record numbers of children migrating alone, they are not meeting the mandatory release from detention within 72 hours, according to The Washington Post:

More than 8,500 migrant teens and children who crossed the border without their parents are being housed in Department of Health and Human Services shelters as they wait to be placed with relatives or vetted sponsors. Nearly 3,500 more are stuck at Border Patrol stations waiting for beds in those shelters to open up, the highest figure ever, according to internal data reviewed by The Washington Post.

Held in grim steel-and-concrete cells built for adults, these young people are spending an average of 107 hours awaiting transfer to an HHS-run shelter, well over the 72-hour legal limit, the data shows.

If you remember the kids in cages controversy, it bears mentioning that these children are now languishing in jail cells. The Washington Post describes them as “austere holding cells with concrete floors and benches. Lights remain on 24 hours a day… and there are few places to play.”

But at least they can shower every two days and get three square.

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said taking these children into custody for placement was the compassionate and moral thing to do. Presumably, this would be the preferable option to returning them to their home countries. While conditions are generally better in the United States than in Central America, it bears remembering what happened when unaccompanied minors flooded the border during the Obama administration.

A 2018 bipartisan Senate investigation found that beginning in 2011, the process for placing children with sponsors and assuring their well-being pretty much fell apart. The analysis focused on Category 3 sponsors, or distant relatives and non-relatives. In these type of placements, the report noted:

HHS commonly places children with alleged distant relatives or family friends without setting eyes on the sponsor or his environment, and even permits the sponsor to bar post-release contact with the child. And until three days ago, HHS policy did not require adequate background checks for other adults living with a would-be sponsor or on the person designated to care for the child in the sponsor’s absence.
