Why would any higher thinking intelligence want to pollute a new dimensional reality out the gate with trash DNA or faulty fundamentals of the creation of life? Humans may only think they know. In genetics we are now at the same point we were having discovered the atomic bomb in relative terms. What can go wrong? In gene sequencing it's always cascade even of interaction. Hence if your smart enough to know what can go wrong and avoid it you should be smart enough to prevent and or fix the multitude of genetic disorders that plague humanity. So either they know what they are doing yet refuse to help cure afflictions or they don't and will only use it to down grade mankind into a slave race. Pick one.
