Was conversing with an acoustics engineer once, and he suggested that salt in the diet can contribute.

I played around with salt levels - and wouldn't cha know, significant affect on the ringing!

A chicken brined in salt, will bring ringing that evening laying down in bed.

 

Not saying there aren't outside causes as well. Just that with tinnitus, there may be a variety of factors co-mingling.

GL anon. I don't think there is documentation out there to be found on this, but it's a simple experiment. You'd notice a difference in a day or so, and labels make it easy to go 'low sodium' with food. I shared with family and they noticed a difference as well.

I never eat anything processed, but there's a ton of sodium in fake food as well.
