Noice. Took me a minute to get the joke.

Since we're telling jokes…When I read Q's post asking "When does the first alarm ring?", I couldn't help thinking, in my case, just before the first snooze button. Sorry, Q.

;-)

Anon, did you know that the very first "word" in this post is not just an acronym?

Did you know that a Durham boat is a Skiff?

Think picture. In what direction is the picture oriented? NW?

MAP provides picture. (Washington crossing the Delaware River.)

When does a map become a guide? When it tells us how to decode the Q drops?

Am toying with the idea. I think I may have gotten it while working with anons here on the direction faced when looking down Victoria and the Thames. Think crosswords but more like word puzzles that allow diagonals. The picture faces Northwest. Now think big picture. Which direction is North. Is this always provided in the map key? Not sure how to attempt an overlay as some posts are long; some are short. Just an idea. This is just an untested thought atm. Have always liked crossword puzzles.

You know, that source of light has always bothered me for a nighttime picture. Unless…It is moonlight. Check out the bearing to the Moon for Christmas Eve 2018 after 1am. 135 degrees. Southeast. It would seem the painter was well informed on his subject matter.

Sequences are used in codes. The bearing of the PICTURE in the Q post is 135 degrees. Coincidence numbers are odd numbers? One sequence could be, for example, "For each line, subtract an odd number of letters beginning with 1, 3, 5…"

Our bearing: [135]
