Anon, suggest a GE review of Seal Beach Pier which may allow us to put a bookend on LBP.png!

Observe the structure at the end of the pier. Was once Ruby's Diner. See how its building seems to stand higher than the pier in LBP.png? There was a fire which destroyed the structure and the end of the pier on 20MAY2016. It was removed down to the pier level and hasn't been replaced.

Current GoogMap images show the damage with planks still missing at the end of the pier where there used to be the restaurant structure.

I haven't dug yet on when the fire-damaged structure was removed, so subsequent GE images might still show a structure albeit a dilapidated fire-damaged structure so the Q pic could have been taken after the fire and before it was removed. Atm don't know how long that demolition period took.

Although the demolition of the fire-damaged portion of the Seal Beach Pier could have been completed some time before, here is a picture of the end of the pier(flat). Moar than flat! Pic taken 19SEP2016.

Might we have a a bookend in this date, as the restaurant was never rebuilt? The city eventually only replaced the decking, creating a flat empty area at the end.
