Most countries will not even be using mm wave bands either. Many are using the old C band DSB frequencies or the old 700MHz terrestrial television frequencies. Many have no other option but to use a portion of the 1800MHz, 1900MHZ bands already used for 3G, LTE and GSM. Regarding power, the "huge" power used is all of 43dBm, a "massive" 19.95W per antenna!
