Maxine Waters: GOP Criticizing Me to Distract from ‘Domestic Terrorist Insurrection Led by Trump’

Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) once again defended her loaded rhetoric at a recent protest in Minnesota, describing the sharp criticism in response to her remarks as a Republican effort to “divert attention” from the Jan. 6 Capitol Hill riot, which she referred to as a “domestic terrorist insurrection” spearheaded by former President Donald Trump.

Waters wrote in a Los Angeles Times op-ed published Thursday:

I attended a peaceful rally to demonstrate my support in this fight to get justice for people of color who are violated and killed day in and day out. While there, I was asked: Ms. Waters, what do we do if we don’t get a guilty verdict? What should protesters do? I responded: “We got to stay on the street. And we’ve got to get more active, we’ve got to get more confrontational.” Confronting injustice has been my life’s work.

Now, because of who I am, the right wing and members of Congress who subscribe to the views of groups like QAnon, the Oath Keepers, the Proud Boys and the KKK have targeted me. Those very people have done so to divert attention from the fact that they aided and abetted a violent, domestic terrorist insurrection led by Donald Trump.

To target me and say that I was violent or encouraging violence is a blatant distortion of the truth.

I am nonviolent.

On Sunday, Waters joined protests outside a police station in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, where she urged demonstrators to remain in the streets unless former Minneapolis police officer Chauvin is convicted in the death of George Floyd. On Wednesday, Chauvin was found guilty on all three charges against him.

Waters attended the event in support of residents who were protesting the shooting of 20-year-old Daunte Wright, who died after he was shot by now-fired police officer Kim Potter as he resisted arrest and fled during a traffic stop.

“We’re looking for a guilty verdict,” Waters said of Chauvin. “And we’re looking to see if all of the talk that took place and has been taking place after they saw what happened to George Floyd, if nothing does not happen, then we know that we’ve got to not only stay in the street, but we’ve got to fight for justice. But I am very hopeful, and I hope we are going to get a verdict that says ‘guilty, guilty, guilty.’ If we don’t, we cannot go away.”

House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy’s (R-CA) to introduced a resolution condemning Waters for her comments, though the measure was blocked by House Democrats on Tuesday.

A motion to table McCarthy’s resolution was approved along party lines; 216 Democrats voted to table the measure, while 210 Republicans voted to have the House consider the bill for a floor vote.

Following the vote, Waters dismissed the resolution as mere “politics” and said she did not regret her comments.

Hobbs is just another Secretary of State backed with Soros money. Michigan’s Secretary of State, Jocelyn Benson, has Soros connections as well. Both women made a mockery of their state’s election in the 2020 election.

Hobbs included herself in the court case against the Arizona Senate that was halted today in court after a Democrat effort was filed last night to stop the audit. Hobbs claimed that the Arizona Senate would not keep the ballots and machines safe and secure. This accusation was made with no knowledge. It also is false. Right now anyone can view the ballots and machines housed in a secure environment at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum where they are housed under constant view by at least 9 video cams.

Also, Hobbs didn’t say a peep when, a few weeks ago the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, loaded all the county’s ballots and drove them to God only knows where and then returned them to the County’s tabulation center. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black!

The People Have Lost Faith in the State, and the State Has Lost Faith in its People

This is how states and empires decay and slide into the dustbin of history.

Democracy is fundamentally about advocacy: the people are free to advocate for their interests and form groups to represent their shared interests. In the broadest scope, the people are free to advocate for what they hold as the common good, policies and programs that benefit the entire populace rather than one special-interest group.

Since the state (all levels of government) concentrates wealth and power via taxation and a monopoly on force, groups advocate/lobby the state to recognize and respond to their interests. At the local level, this advocacy entails contacting city council members, speaking at council meetings, developing outreach tools (email lists, website, etc.), holding rallies at city hall, etc.

People advocate when they still have faith in their government. When they lose that faith, their only option is dissent. When advocacy yields zero results because government really only responds to corporations and the super-wealthy, then people lose faith in the representational branch of the state.

Since advocacy failed, people dissent, protesting government policies, rallying behind alternative policies and demanding a hearing of their concerns and interests.

The state tolerates polite advocacy because it is easily dismissed, but it views dissent as a threat, and responds accordingly. The state's elected officials and unelected functionaries view citizen advocacy as an annoyance, but dissent is understood as a direct challenge to the state's monopoly on force and its concentration of wealth via taxation, and a challenge to the state's freedom to exercise its powers whenever and however it wants.

Dissent is thus intolerable, especially if it demands transparency, which threatens the cozy corruption of politicos and functionaries, or threatens the wealth and power of the parasitic elites that control virtually all the nation's wealth and power.

This study of political influence and state policy decisions found that the average citizenry had zero influence: Testing Theories of American Politics: Elites, Interest Groups, and Average Citizens.

Note the difference between conventional wealth and super-wealth. Someone earning $500,000 is wealthy to the average wage earner, but that individual pays 40+% in taxes, so they net less than $300,000, and if they live in high-cost states and have elderly parents in assisted living and kids in university, their income available to lobby the state is inconsequential compared to the tens of millions of dollars corporations and the super-wealthy routinely spend to cement their political influence.

Three Arrested in Multiagency Operation Targeting Child Sexual Predators in Hawai‘i

A multiagency undercover law enforcement operation targeting child sexual predators in Hawaiʻi from April 2-4 resulted in the arrest of three individuals on charges related to the solicitation of minors. Those arrested include two active duty soldiers and one active duty Marine, according to the Naval Criminal Investigative Service.

The operation, known as “Operation Keiki Shield,” was conducted as part of the Hawaiʻi Department of the Attorney General’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. It included personnel assigned to NCIS, the Air Force Office of Special Investigations, the Army Criminal Investigation Command, the Marine Corps Criminal Investigation Division, the Coast Guard Investigative Service, and Homeland Security Investigations.

According to NCIS, each of the subjects allegedly used online platforms to solicit sex from undercover law enforcement officers whom they believed to be children. Law enforcement officers arrested each of the subjects upon their arrival at a predetermined location.

Four operations conducted jointly between military and civilian law enforcement as part of Operation Keiki Shield since 2019 have resulted in 24 arrests and 16 convictions. Multiple investigations are pending prosecution. Each operation included the participation of between 40 and 55 law enforcement personnel, including special agents, intelligence analysts, and administrative staff.

“The Hawaiʻi Department of the Attorney General and its Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force are committed to working with our military, federal, and local partners to protect one of our most vulnerable populations—Hawaiʻi’s children—from being preyed upon by online predators,” said Hawaiʻi Attorney General Clare E. Donald Trump Is Gone, But QAnon’s Sex Trafficking Conspiracies Are Here To Stay

After years of propaganda and misleading statistics, child sex trafficking conspiracies have become a gateway to right-wing extremism.

Christine Priola had worked in the Cleveland public school district for nearly 20 years when she resigned suddenly on Jan. 7, the day after she stormed the US Capitol, marching into the Senate chamber with a sign that said, “The children cry out for justice.”

“I will be switching paths to expose the global evil of human trafficking and pedophilia, including in our government and children’s services agencies,” she wrote in her resignation letter.

“This world is run on the blood of innocent children, please look into it,” she told a local news crew a few days later.

Others in the crowd on Jan. 6 held similar beliefs, bearing signs and shirts referencing QAnon, the mass delusion that a secret cabal is operating a global child trafficking network that Donald Trump was trying to stop. Among QAnon’s followers were two women who died at the Capitol insurrection: Rosanne Boyland overdosed on amphetamines, and Ashli Babbitt was shot by a Capitol Police officer. Priola now faces federal charges for unlawful and disorderly conduct for her role. (She did not respond to an interview request.)

Conspiracy theories about sex trafficking and child abuse have been a core feature of the online fever swamp that bloomed under Trump, acting as a powerful recruitment tool and call to action. During Trump’s years in office, believers cited these conspiracies to argue that Hillary Clinton should be arrested, discussed spreading them to divert attention from stories about children separated from their families at the US-Mexico border, and wielded them as a cudgel against mask-wearing policies, claiming that covering up faces would abet traffickers. And, after Trump called on his supporters to defend his false claims of election fraud, some who showed up to the “Stop the Steal” rally believed him to be on the verge of taking down the cabal.

But while attempts to reckon with the insurrection have largely focused on Trump’s incitement and the complicity of social media companies, the conspiracies at the core of the QAnon mass delusion were also fed by an ongoing moral panic over child sex trafficking that has not faced the same scrutiny. And, as sex trafficking conspiracies continue to proliferate in spite of the conspiracy’s many failed prophecies, some fear that the movement’s proponents, who had expected Trump to fight these imagined abuses, may now be recruited by other extremist groups or feel compelled to take matters into their own hands.

“The bottom has just fallen out of their worldview, they are extremely open to radical ideas when framed simply and reasonably,” reads one message in a far-right channel on Telegram discussing disillusioned QAnon supporters that was reviewed by BuzzFeed News.

Maricopa County Audit WILL Continue After Arizona Democrats Refuse To Pay $1 Million Bond

"We will not risk our supporters's hard-earned dollars"

The forensic audit of over 2 million ballots from Maricopa County will continue unabated, after Arizona Democrats refused to pay a judge-ordered $1 million bond.

National File reported on Friday that Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Christoper Coury said that the forensic audit of all 2.1 million 2020 ballots from the Arizona county, which started on Friday, should be temporarily halted from Friday at 5 p.m. until 12 p.m. on Monday. The order came as the result of a lawsuit from Arizona Democrats, who wanted to stop the Maricopa audit, claiming that they were various irregularities with the effort, despite the Senate ensuring a high level of transparency throughout the process.

The court ultimately determined the Democrats should put up $1 million in order to pause the audit, to fund any potential increase in costs that would come as a result of the temporary halt. The pause would not go ahead without the bond being posted. On Friday afternoon, the Arizona Democrat Party confirmed that they were completely unwilling to pony up the money.

In a press release, the chair of the Arizona Democrats, Raquel Terán, claimed that the “lack of transparency” from Senate President Fann and Cyber Ninjas about what the actual cost of the audit is “makes the question of posting a $1 million bond laughable.” Terán added that “the Arizona Democratic Party will not risk our supporters’s hard-earned dollars to pay off the Cyber Ninjas for a procedure they are billing Arizona taxpayers to the tune of $150,000.”

The Arizona Democrat Party chair for some reason brought up the fact that private donations from people like Lin Wood and other smaller funding sources were being used to help assist in the cost of the audit. “The fact of the matter is that no one knows the actual cost of this sham audit and President Fann and the Cyber Ninjas have not once made this figure public,” Terán continued.

“Democrats [are] doing everything to stop [the] audit, including filing lawsuits attacking the ‘integrity’ of the process,” said the Arizona GOP in a tweet before the statement on Friday. “So NOW they care about election integrity? Nope. They just don’t want Americans to be involved in our own elections,” they added.

President Trump in a statement had slammed the lawsuit, and claimed it was evidence that the Democrats “are desperate for the fraud to remain concealed from the American people. “Our country needs the truth of the scam 2020 Election to be exposed,” Trump said. “If it is not, just as if we have “no borders,” we cannot be a Great Nation. Honest elections are America’s Heart and Soul. We must never allow this to happen to our Great Country again.”

Lindsay Lohan’s dad Michael busted for allegedly steering addicts into rehab for cash

Lindsay Lohan’s dad was busted in Palm Beach on Friday for allegedly pocketing at least $25,000 in illegal kickbacks in return for steering addicts — including a woman he was sleeping with — into a Florida drug treatment center.

Lohan, 60, who keeps addresses in Boca Raton and in Southampton, collected bounties on addicts he referred to the Pride Recovery Center in Delray Beach in 2017 and 2018, court documents charge.

One of those addicts was a woman he referred to Pride Recovery while he was in a “sexual relationship” with her, the arrest warrant states.

For that woman — whose name is revealed only by the initials “B.M.” in court papers — Lohan received a May 4, 2018 check from Pride Recovery amounting to $5,000, the arrest warrant states.

Patient records show the woman was referred for treatment that day, the court papers allege.

Lohan is the 117th person busted in an ongoing Palm Beach County probe into illegal “patient brokering,” according to Palm Beach County State Attorney Dave Aronberg.

“Mr. Lohan was investigated by our Sober Homes Task Force and he’s being charged with receiving kickbacks for referring patients to drug treatment,” Aronberg said in a statement.

“Patient brokering corrupts our health care system because decisions are motivated by greed instead of a patient’s needs,” he added.

“This is our Task Force’s 117th arrest and will not be our last,” he said of Lohan.

Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 Vaccine Use Should Resume: CDC Advisers

Advisers to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on Friday said the Johnson & Johnson (J&J) CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus vaccine can now be distributed with a warning.

The vaccine would carry a warning about the rare risk of blood clots in those who received it, officials with the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) said.

Earlier this month, the CDC and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recommended halting usage of the shot after several reports of blood clots out of more than 7 million J&J vaccines administered so far. All the cases involved women, including three who died and seven who remain in the hospital, officials said.

“This pause was essential to our ability to inform the public, inform physicians, and acquire more data for presentation and for analysis,” said Dr. Jose Romero, chair of the CDC’s committee of immunizations. The vote was 10-4 in favor of recommending the vaccine to adults who are 18 or older; there was one abstention.

The CDC panel said that the pause should be lifted as the benefits of the J&J shot outweigh the risk of developing the blood clot.

Dr. Henry Bernstein, a professor of pediatrics at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell in New York, said that Friday’s “presentations and discussions have convinced me that lifting the pause on J&J’s vaccine is in the best public health interest of the U.S. population.”

Romero also noted that some people prefer the J&J vaccine because it requires a single shot.

“Removing a vaccine that can be given as a single dose, which is a preference for Latinos in our community, would be a detriment,” he said during the panel meeting.

It’s not clear, however, when the shots will be resumed. The head of the CDC, Dr. Rochelle Walensky, has the final say over whether the J&J vaccine will be used again.

The FDA will have to also alter the language on the emergency use authorization for the J&J vaccine to advise about possible risks.

How Americans ultimately handle J&J’s vaccine will influence other countries that don’t have as much access to other vaccination options, officials have said. In the United States, more than half of adults have received at least one vaccine dose, the vast majority with the two-shot Pfizer and Moderna vaccines.

Some critics of the CDC and FDA move earlier this month, like former President Donald Trump, said the pause was poor optics and would make Americans more distrustful of getting a vaccine. Trump also alleged that the FDA unfairly favors Pfizer and paused the J&J vaccine for “political purposes.”

Allegedly 'super drunk' Michigan state Dem rep hit with DUI, resisting arrest, weapons charges

Police say Rep. Jewell Jones threatened to call Gov. Gretchen Whitmer on them during the incident

Michigan state Rep. Jewell Jones (D) is accused of crashing his vehicle while "super drunk," and has been charged with driving while intoxicated, weapons possession, and resisting arrest after police responded to the scene and he allegedly became combative.

Officers say the Democrat threatened them multiple times with calling Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D) during the incident.

What are the details?

Authorities say state troopers received multiple calls from witnesses the evening of April 6, who reported a black Chevy with a vanity license plate reading "ELECTED" was driving erratically on I-96, The Daily Mail reported. Shortly after 6:00 p.m., EMS responded to a report that the vehicle matching that description had crashed.

According to prosecutors, the driver, later identified as Jones, became combative with paramedics and even pushed one in the chest as they were trying to treat his injured passenger, so police were called to the scene.

Livingston County Chief Assistant Prosecutor Carolyn Henry told the court during Jones' arraignment that "the defendant's behavior was so serious that they had escalated to a point that the troopers had to tase and pepper spray the defendant," WDIV-TV reported.

She added that "he continued to be confrontational, uncooperative and using status of importance by flashing badges instead of the IDs being asked for by law enforcement."

The outlet noted that Jones' blood alcohol level "was more than twice the legal limit, also known as 'super drunk.'" He also allegedly had a loaded Glock in the cup holder of his vehicle's center console at the time of arrest.

The police report states that Jones threatened troopers multiple times over his position of authority, telling them, "I run y'all budget, bro," and invoking the governor's name.

After Jones was tased, he told police, "I don't give a f**k bro, when I call Gretchen [Whitmer], I'll need y'all ID's, badge numbers, everything." He also allegedly said, "If you strike me it's going to be bad for you, if you hit me it's going to be very bad for you. I'll call Governor Whitmer right now."

Jones was elected in 2016 at the age of 21, making him the youngest representative ever elected to the House in Michigan. He is also an active member of the National Guard, an auxiliary police officer, and a senior deacon.

If found guilty, he faces a minimum of two years behind bars.

Virginia plans to eliminate all accelerated math courses prior to 11th grade in an effort to achieve equity: report

'Lower standards for all students in the name of equity'

The Virginia Department of Education is eliminating accelerated math courses before 11th grade to "improve equity in mathematics learning opportunities," according to a report by Fox News.

Loudoun County school board member Ian Serotkin brought attention to the reported academic changes on Tuesday with a Facebook post exposing the plans. Serotkin warns of a "sweeping initiative by the Virginia Department of Education to revamp the K-12 math curriculum statewide over the next few years." Serotkin's post included a chart of proposed math courses for 2022-2030.

"The Virginia Mathematics Pathways Initiative (VMPI) is a joint initiative among the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE), the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV) and the Virginia Community College System (VCCS)," according to the VDOE website.

The initiative set goals to redefine "mathematics pathways for students in the Commonwealth to address the knowledge, skills, experiences, and attributes that students must attain to be successful in college and/or the workforce and to be 'life ready.'" The VMPI will also "improve equity in mathematics learning opportunities" and "empower students to be active participants in a quantitative world."

"As currently planned, this initiative will eliminate ALL math acceleration prior to 11th grade," Serotkin wrote on Facebook. "That is not an exaggeration, nor does there appear to be any discretion in how local districts implement this."

Serotkin said the initiative would only allow accelerated math classes in 11th and 12th grade. "All 6th graders will take Foundational Concepts 6. All 7th graders will take Foundational Concepts 7. All 10th graders will take Essential Concepts 10," Serottkin stated. "Only in 11th and 12th grade is there any opportunity for choice in higher math courses."

VDOE spokesperson Charles Pyle did not dispute Serotkin's claims, but said the math courses would be malleable to each student's skill level. "Differentiated instruction means providing instruction that is catered to the learning needs of each child (appropriate levels of challenge and academic rigor)," Pyle told Fox News.

Facebook Executive Confesses To Whistleblower That “State Sponsored Disinformation” Was Allowed On Platform (As Long As It Didn’t Help Republicans, Of Course)

A Facebook executive is now on record telling a whistleblower that “state-sponsored” (government-funded) disinformation meant that she had job security. Facebook allowed authoritarian governments (including the United States) to use the platform to generate fake support for their regimes for months despite warnings from employees about the disinformation campaigns.

An investigation from The Guardian revealed this week that Facebook has helped keep governments intact, and the slavery of humanity ongoing. According to a report by Business Insider, a loophole in Facebook’s policies allowed government officials around the world to create unlimited amounts of fake “pages” which, unlike user profiles, don’t have to correspond to an actual person — but could still like, comment on, react to, and share content.

That loophole let governments spin up armies of what looked like real users who could then artificially generate support for and amplify pro-government content, what The Guardian called “the digital equivalent of bussing in a fake crowd for a speech.” –Business Insider

Most of the complaints are about foreign countries, but considering the U.S. is now the hub for propaganda and disinformation we can all but assume that this happened here. Plus, in order to “fix” the problem, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg doubled down on his censorship agenda.

“Key to our efforts has been finding and removing fake accounts — the source of much of the abuse, including misinformation. Bad actors can use computers to generate these in bulk. But with advances in artificial intelligence, we now block millions of fake accounts every day as they are being created so they can’t be used to spread spam, false news or inauthentic ads,” Zuckerberg added. –Business Insider

We are being played on all sides by all media and the government to manufacture our consent to be their slaves. Have you figured it out yet? Government is slavery. Left or right, it doesn’t matter, no one makes a rightful master and no one makes a rightful slave. No one has any authority to command and expect submission and no one has any obligation to obey such commands. We have got to figure this out and soon. There’s enough information out there now that this is what’s going on and if we continue to argue about which master is better, we’ll continue to be their willing slaves.

The good news is that they are losing control. If they were not, the propaganda, brainwashing, and mind control tactics of the rulers would be unnecessary. They know we are figuring it out and that we no longer want to be ruled by anyone.

Morrow revealed additional footage that showed military-style medics at the ready to treat Officer Jarrott, who was shot and killed in cold blood by a drug dealer.

A Bloomberg report states that both these companies in the year 2028, together will have investments in the amount of 20 trillion dollars. That means that they will own almost everything.

Bloomberg calls BlackRock “The fourth branch of government”, because it’s the only private agency that closely works with the central banks. BlackRock lends money to the central bank but it’s also the advisor. It also develops the software the central bank uses. Many BlackRock employees were in the White House with Bush and Obama. Its CEO. Larry Fink can count on a warm welcome from leaders and politicians. Not so strange, if you know that he is the front man of the ruling company but Larry Fink does not pull the strings himself.

BlackRock, itself is also owned by shareholders. Who are those shareholders? We come to a strange conclusion. The biggest shareholder is Vanguard. But now he gets murky. Vanguard is a private company and we cannot see who the shareholders are. The elite who own Vanguard apparently do not like being in the spotlight but of course they cannot hide from who is willing to dig.

Reports from Oxfam and Bloomberg say that 1% of the world, together owns more money than the other 99%. Even worse, Oxfam says that 82% of all earned money in 2017 went to this 1%.

U.S. Government Flags More Than 500 Scientists In U.S. That Might Be Compromised By Communist China

The U.S. federal government has flagged hundreds of scientists and hundreds of institutions that it has reason to believe might be compromised by communist China.

“More than 500 federally funded scientists are under investigation for being compromised by China and other foreign powers,” The Washington Times reported. “The federal health officials told a Senate committee that they are fighting to keep up with large-scale Chinese efforts to corrupt American researchers and steal intellectual property that scientists hope will lead to biomedical advances.”

Michael S. Lauer, M.D. Deputy Director for Extramural Research, National Institutes of Health, testified that they have so far contacted 90 institutions that receive federal taxpayer money about more than 200 scientists that they have concerns about.

“The individuals violating laws and policies represent a small proportion of scientists working in and with U.S. institutions,” Lauer said. “We must ensure that our responses to this issue do not create a hostile environment for colleagues who are deeply dedicated to advancing human health through scientific inquiry. We cannot afford to reject brilliant minds working honestly and collaboratively to provide hope and healing to millions around the world.”

The Office of the Director of National Intelligence released the following information about China in their most recent threat assessment guide:

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) will continue its whole-of-government efforts to spread China’s influence, undercut that of the United States, drive wedges between Washington and its allies and partners, and foster new international norms that favor the authoritarian Chinese system. Chinese leaders probably will, however, seek tactical opportunities to reduce tensions with Washington when such opportunities suit their interests. China will maintain its major innovation and industrial policies because Chinese leaders see this strategy as necessary to reduce dependence on foreign technologies, enable military advances, and sustain economic growth and thus ensure the CCP’s survival.

China seeks to use coordinated, whole-of-government tools to demonstrate its growing strength and compel regional neighbors to acquiesce to Beijing’s preferences, including its claims over disputed territory and assertions of sovereignty over Taiwan.

Beijing will continue to promote the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) to expand China’s economic, political, and military presence abroad, while trying to reduce waste and exploitative practices, which have led to international criticism. China will try to increase its influence using “vaccine diplomacy,” giving countries favored access to the COVID-19 vaccines it is developing. China also will promote new international norms for technology and human rights, emphasizing state sovereignty and political stability over individual rights.
