Sen. Roger Marshall: Biden’s Unity Message Is ‘Lip Service,’ White House Has Not Reached Out to Republicans

The White House has not reached out to Republicans for “meaningful input on major legislation” despite President Joe Biden’s calls for bipartisan unity, Sen. Roger Marshall (R-KS) said on SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Daily with host Alex Marlow, author of Breaking the News: Exposing the Establishment Media’s Hidden Deals and Secret Corruption.

Marlow reflected on Biden’s Wednesday remarks before a mostly empty joint session of Congress.

“The unity Biden preaches is nowhere to be found,” he stated. “[Biden] is doing this thing where he calls for unity and then he announces a slate of partisan Democrat issues with no indication he’s reaching across the aisle, at all. I want to get your thoughts as someone who has to work with him in the Senate.”

Marshall replied, “I can assure you the White House has not reached out to any Republican for meaningful input on major legislation — zero, none — it’s not happening. It’s all lip service, and that’s just where we are right now. It is just that simple.

“We would love the opportunity to engage, but just think about his radical agenda, right now. Your listeners need to think of the totality of their agenda. They want to take away our freedom of speech, our freedom of religion. They want to pack the Supreme Court. They want to give D.C. statehood [and] rig the election. They want to open borders [and to] defund the police. They want to take your land from you now, as well … and that’s got people in Kansas fired up like you wouldn’t believe,” the Kansas Republican continued.

“It is a radical agenda,” Marshall concluded. “There is no unity. There is no reaching across the aisle by this White House.”

Marshall described the Biden administration’s proposals for increased centralization of economic control and planning as a governmental push for more control over Americans’ lives.

“The President is trying to tell you why he needs to take over your life from birth to the grave, and the federal government is now in charge of your entire life,” he remarked. “[Biden] wants $6 trillion. He’s already borrowed and spent $2 trillion on his first so-called COVID relief bill, and then he announced a couple of weeks ago another $2 trillion for what he called an infrastructure bill, but which is really a Green New Deal bill, right?”

Marshall highlighted inaccurate Democrat use of the term “free” to describe taxpayer-funded initiatives.

“Finally, last night, [Biden] said [his administration wants] another $2 trillion for your kids’ preschool as well as for free college,” he stated. “Everything’s free, right? Everything is free — $6 trillion dollars — and he’s going to come after you with taxes. He wants to raise your capital gains and dividend distribution. He wants to get rid of stepped-up basis. This will kill family businesses, the family farm, the ability to pass on that land. Or if you have a family business, maybe a third-generation [business] you want to pass on, and all the sudden you’re going to have to bring in a partner or sell a third of your business just to pay for your children to be able to continue to do business.”

He added, “[Biden] wants you to be a servant to the to the federal government.”

Former DHS Officials Slam Biden for Pushing Amnesty Amid Border Crisis

Former Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officials are slamming President Joe Biden’s touting of massive amnesty for illegal aliens in his address to a joint session of Congress while illegal aliens pour across the United States-Mexico border.

As Breitbart News reported, Biden asked Congress to pass his plan giving amnesty to roughly 11 to 22 million illegal aliens living in the U.S.

“I kept my commitment and I sent a comprehensive immigration bill to Congress. If you believe we need a secure border — pass it. If you believe in a pathway to citizenship — pass it,” Biden told Congress.

Former Acting DHS Deputy Secretary Ken Cuccinelli, now with the Heritage Foundation, slammed Biden’s amnesty push as merely an effort to “create new voters” to “benefit [Democrats] politically.”

“He has undermined those very laws with his radical open-borders policies, and granting amnesty to millions of illegal aliens who broke our laws by coming and remaining here illegally will only make a further mockery of that oath,” Cuccinelli said:

Let’s not forget how bad this crisis is, and the scope of what the president wants to do. In January, 78,000 illegal aliens were apprehended trying to cross the border, a number that increased to 100,000 in February, and more than 172,000 in March. Apprehensions in March 2021 increased by more than 420% compared to March 2020. If this month’s numbers are even close to last month’s shocking 172,000 apprehensions, we are talking about a 900% increase from April 2020 to April 2021. [Emphasis added]

Former Acting Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Commissioner Mark Morgan, also with the Heritage Foundation, urged Congress to reject the effort and said Biden’s amnesty plan would “reward widespread, systemic lawbreaking.”

“… by advancing what would be the largest amnesty proposal in U.S. history, the Biden administration is making it one by insisting on rewarding up to 30 million illegal aliens with the greatest prize in the world — American citizenship,” Morgan said. “Doing so will only make this historic border crisis worse.”

Pro-American worker groups, which advocate for less overall immigration to the U.S., also hit Biden for attempting to add tens of millions of foreign workers to the legal workforce even as 22.4 million Americans remain jobless or underemployed.

Executives from “the nation’s largest grassroots immigration-reduction organization,” NumbersUSA, said Biden ought to pass mandatory E-Verify, to eliminate employers from being allowed to hire illegal aliens over Americans, if he wants to secure the southern border.

Biden lies about free speech by invoking 102-year-old overturned Supreme Court case

During Wednesday night’s national address, President Joe Biden repeated his oft-debunked claim that that “no amendment to the Constitution is absolute” while making an argument against gun rights, and went to lie about the Supreme Court’s stance on free speech, claiming “you can’t yell fire in a crowded theater.”

“No amendment to the constitution is absolute,” Biden said after making an appeal to restrict gun rights. “You can’t yell ‘fire’ in a crowded theater. From the very beginning, there were certain guns, weapons, that could not be owned by Americans.“

Biden is not only incorrect about firearms restrictions, which did not exist even for military cannon and warships at the country’s founding, but the “fire in a crowded theater” metaphor he invokes so often is also completely false.

The saying comes from remarks made over a hundred years ago in 1919 by Supreme Court Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes in the case Schenk v. United States, during which the court incorrectly ruled that advocating against the draft was not free speech.

The Court’s ruling is widely interpreted as one of the worst ever in U.S. history, and was effectively overturned in the landmark 1969 case Brandenburg v. Ohio.

Yelling “Fire!” in a crowded theater has been ruled protected speech for over half a century, but that has not prevented Biden from repeating the false claim on many occasions.

Biden also has a history of making up outright lies about background checks at gun shows:

President Joe Biden made false claims about gun rights on Thursday, claiming that when “You go to a gun show, you can buy whatever you want, and no background check.” White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki ran damage control for Biden in Thursday’s White House briefing, claiming that he does not actually believe that there are no background checks at gun shows.

“Require background checks for anyone purchasing a gun at a gun show, or an online sale,” Biden said. Background checks are already mandatory for online sales and sales by licensed gun dealers at gun shows.

“Most people don’t know, you walk into a store and you buy a gun, you have a background check,” Biden said. “But you go to a gun show, you can buy whatever you want– and no background check.”

Joe Rogan back-peddles after telling young Americans not to get COVID vaccine

Joe Rogan back-peddled Thursday on his claim that healthy young Americans don’t need to get vaccinated against COVID-19 — insisting he’s “not an anti-vaxx person.”

On his popular podcast “Joe Rogan Experience,” the 53-year-old comedian downplayed his own credibility after his comments sparked outrage on social media and a response from Dr. Anthony Fauci.

“I’m not a doctor, I’m a f-cking moron,” Rogan said. “I’m not a respected source of information, even for me … But I at least try to be honest about what I’m saying.”

He clarified that the comments made on his podcast last week — that young, healthy people don’t “need to worry about ” getting the shots — didn’t stem from a belief that vaccines are dangerous.

“I’m not an anti-vaxx person,” he said. “I said I believe they’re safe and I encourage many people to take them. My parents were vaccinated. I just said that if you’re a young, healthy person that you don’t need it.”

He added that he was scheduled to get a Johnson & Johnson jab before it was put on pause by the feds earlier this month.

Rogan also acknowledged claims by Fauci and the White House that his comments were incorrect — but stopped short of admitting he was wrong.

“There’s some legitimate science behind this…Their argument was, you need it for other people,” he said. “But that’s a different argument. That’s a different conversation.”

Fashion label says Cuomo administration cheated them out of $10.4M for pandemic PPE

The CEO of a New York fashion company says the Cuomo administration fleeced her out of $10.4 million — refusing to pay for an order of PPE she delivered during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, according to a lawsuit filed Thursday.

State representatives allegedly used “bullying” and misogynistic tactics to rip off Laws of Motion, a woman-run, NY-based label — leaving it on the brink of collapse, the filing states.

“The Cuomo administration had been deliberately obstructionist — all in a very clear attempt to avoid payment and systemically work to silence and destroy anyone they felt superior to,” CEO Carly Bigi told The Post.

Her company struck a $26.4 million deal with the administration in early April 2020 for an expedited order of 2.4 million surgical gowns, according to the suit, filed in the New York State Court of Claims.

At the time, the Empire State was facing a critical shortage of PPE and some health care workers were even forced to wear trash bags as gowns, The Post reported then.

“We were going to do everything we could to help,” Bigi said.

Her staff worked at “rocket speed” to prepare a proposal and samples to send to the state, she said. Payment terms required the state to pay 75 percent up front and 25 percent upon delivery of the gowns.

100 Days Into Biden’s Presidency, Hunter Still Owns Stake In Chinese Private Equity Firm, Business Records Show

Hunter Biden continues to hold a minority stake in a Chinese private equity firm 100 days into President Joe Biden’s term, business records show.

Hunter Biden holds a 10% equity stake in BHR Partners through his company, Skaneateles LLC, according to Qixinbao and Baidu, two independent services that provide business records on Chinese corporations based on China’s National Credit Information Publicity System.

Joe Biden promised in October 2019 that if elected president, nobody in his family would have any business relationship with any foreign corporation or country.

“No one in my family will have an office in the White House, will sit in on meetings as if they are a cabinet member, will, in fact, have any business relationship with anyone that relates to a foreign corporation or a foreign country,” Joe Biden told reporters in Iowa. “Period. Period. End of story.”

BHR is co-owned by the Chinese state-controlled Bank of China, the business records show, and manages the equivalent of $2.1 billion in assets, according to its website. Hunter Biden acquired his 10% stake in the firm with a $420,000 investment in October 2017, according to a statement released by his lawyer in October 2019.

BHR’s business file was last updated on July 28, 2020, the records show.

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said in early February that Hunter Biden was in the process of divesting his ownership stake in the equity firm.

“He has been working to unwind his investment but I would certainly point you — he’s a private citizen — I would point you to him or his lawyers on the outside,” Psaki said.

It’s unclear if Hunter Biden expects to receive a return on his investment in the company after his divestment is complete.

Hunter Biden’s lawyer, George Mesires, and BHR have not returned requests for comment.

Crestview PD arrests three on child sex abuse charges; one victim only 3 months old

CRESTVIEW, Fla. (WKRG) — Over the course of April, Crestview police made three felony arrests for child sex abuse charges. One of the victims was only 3 months old at the time of the incident.

On April 5, the Crestview Police Department issued an arrest warrant for 72-year-old, James R. Terrell of Crestview, and charged him with lewd or lascivious molestation of a victim less than 12 years of age. Terrell was arrested a short time later and transported to the Okaloosa County Jail without incident.

On April 22, the Crestview Police Department issued an arrest warrant for 38-year-old, Edgar Enrique Nunez of Crestview, and charged him with lewd and lascivious molestation of a victim between the ages of 12-16 years of age. He was arrested on April 23 and transported to the Okaloosa County Jail without incident.

Kansas man whose son is accused of killing two boys is charged with sex crimes

The father of a Leavenworth County man who is charged with killing his two young sons has been charged with two counts of aggravated indecent liberties with a child.

According to a criminal complaint filed on Feb. 23, Donald Jackson Sr., of Easton, allegedly touched a child inappropriately between July and August 2019, in Leavenworth County.

Several months earlier, in June, Jackson was arrested for the same charges in a separate incident between August 2018 and December 2019, according to an affidavit.

The victims in both cases were under the age of 14 at the time of the alleged crime, court records show. The Star does not typically identify the victims of sex crimes, particularly those who are juveniles.

Officials on Wednesday confirmed to The Star that Jackson, who was 62 at the time of his first arrest, is the father of Donald Jackson Jr., who is accused of fatally shooting his young sons in October.

At the time of the younger Jackson’s initial arrest, officials would not confirm that he and Donald Jackson Sr. were related.

In a motion for bond filed in June, the elder Jackson’s attorney argued that he was a lifelong resident of Leavenworth County with no history or arrests or convictions. Jackson’s attorney could not immediately be reached for comment Thursday.

The attorney said Jackson had been married for 41 years and for 22 years owned and operated a poll construction business until his retirement, court records show.

Jackson’s bond was set at $100,000. He posted $10,000 bond in July. As part of his bond agreement, he was ordered not to come in contact with the victim.

He again posted bail after his bond was set at $100,000 this spring, though the state had requested his bond be set at $500,000. He bonded out on March 29.

Josh Duggar, of ’19 Kids and Counting,’ arrested by U.S. Marshals in Arkansas

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Reality TV star Josh Duggar was arrested Thursday by the U.S. Marshals Service in Arkansas, booking records show.

The exact charges were not immediately known but must be serious as Duggar is being held without bail at a Washington County jail.

In 2019, Homeland Security raided a car dealership in Springdale, Arkansas linked to Duggar. It is unclear if today’s arrest is connected to that investigation.

Mass Casualty Event Declared After Bleachers Collapse in Northern Israel

ISRAEL – First responders were on scene of a collapsed structure that took place during one of the major bonfires in Meron as tens of thousands of Jewish people celebrated the festival of Lag Ba’omer in northern Israel Thursday.

Bleachers appeared to have collapsed as revelers were jumping and dancing on the structure. There are several confirmed fatalities – an exact number is not known at this time.

United Hatzalah teams are also treating at least 30 more people for various injuries sustained from the falling structure and resulting debris.

Reports are suggesting that numerous people are unconscious and volunteers are CPR is in progress on a number of individuals who were struck by the structure and lost consciousness.

United Hatzalah volunteer EMT Yosef Chaim Ben Tzion who was one of the first responders at the scene and participated in the CPR relayed: “A number of the injured are in critical condition and a large number of people were moderately injured after a grandstand collapsed with dozens of people on it. Doctors, paramedics, and EMTs from United Hatzalah who were providing medical security for the event rushed to respond and initiated CPR on a number of individuals while treating the others for their injuries.”
