yea that is what sent me off on a journey where the infallibility of the bible put together by the Nicaean Counsel started to look more and more like the Catholic church protecting the 'integrity' more than the holy spirit. Many if not most of those persecuted by the authorities were closer to Gnostics than KJV Christians, and when you start looking at those texts, the whole picture of why the church is the way it is, why the bible was brought forward the way it has been, and why much of Christianity looks more like the mystery religions than it looks likes Jesus's teachings all comes into focus.

In any case our creator gave us the faculties to reason and questioning. He put us on a planet where survival depended on a mix of instinct and cunning, and left the planet under the control of prince of the power of the air. To think that the father of lies would then be able to control the widely available version of the word of god is not that much of a stretch. Maybe the real law and gospel is written in the hearts of men, where it can be buried but not erased. Do you hear that small still voice, or is it drowned out by the morals and dogma of the KJ bible?
