in the entire history of the human race, no prohibition has EVER worked. in fact, it's easy to prove they INCREASE consumption of the "controlled substance," and at the same time, create a litany of other social consequences, NONE of them good.

get a hold of the movie "the roaring twenties" and watch it. a scathing exposé and condemnation of alcohol prohibition. spare us the comparison of alcohol and opioids. the issue is prohibition.

the cure CANNOT be worse than the problem.
