In Dec 2020, Apple's spokesman claimed that "none of its other suppliers" were using Uighur slave labor. Today, @theinformation reports that

seven of Apple's suppliers use Uighur slaves.

U.S. authorizes Pfizer/BioNTech COVID vaccine for children 12 to 15

U.S. regulators on Monday authorized Pfizer (PFE.N) and BioNTech's COVID-19 vaccine for use in children as young as 12, widening the country's inoculation program as vaccination rates have slowed significantly.

The vaccine has been available under an emergency use authorization (EUA) to people as young as 16 in the United States. The vaccine makers said they had started the process for full approval for those ages last week.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration said it was amending the EUA to include the millions of children aged 12 to 15.

It is the first COVID-19 vaccine to be authorized in the United States for this age group, seen as an important step for getting children back into schools safely. U.S. President Joe Biden has asked states to make the vaccine available to the younger adolescents immediately.

So there is some (not very) detailed information in the package insert: 4 (maybe 5) serious adverse events among 1,100 teens who received vaccine, 1 who receive placebo, events not disclosed:

Also: 35 teens had a fever of 102-103 after being vaccinated, and one a fever over 104.

Among those who received placebo 3 had fevers of 102-103, none over 104.

41 v 12 for “severe” fatigue,

25 v 2 for “severe” chills, etc

The getaway car was seen less than 2 hours later in a strong-armed robbery. Several weeks ago— a rash of burglaries & carjackings by suspected minors

SLPD can’t say for certain these are hate-crime/race-motivated

they tell me the numbers don’t lie.

They’ve increased patrols & are working w/the DA b/c re-offending is a problem.

BTW: The 80-year old is OK but thinks his attack was hate-motivated.
