Curing cancer doesn't do much if we don't better combat aging.

The consequences for doing so would mean too many geriatrics that can't contribute and strain too many resources.

I understand how insensitive this sounds, but unfortunately continuity demands pragmatism in many regards.

Just because I understand and can communicate the limitations on the progress of innovating aging and cancer doesn't mean I don't simultaneously comprehend the spiritual or metaphysical ramifications of doing something like this.

Personally, I think we're supposed to improve and I doubt that those adjudicating would really spend too much time on the semantics of their own rules.
