The reason for the genealogies in the Old Testament of the Bible is to show that Jesus is the Promised Messiah, of the line of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Judah. And the line of David. The prophesies were fulfilled in Jesus. God kept the Promise that he made to Adam & Eve in the Garden of Eden that He would send a Messiah.

The Jews of Jesus' day who accepted Jesus as the Promised Messiah, became Christians.

Those who call themselves Jews today, reject Jesus as the Messiah.

If people ask me why I don't want to get the covid vax, I tell them, for the same reason that I've never gotten a flu shot, even though it was offered to me for free from my employer.
