Watchdog group files complaint alleging Florida Democratic Rep. Demings committed ethics violation

The complaint centers on Demings having used her official Twitter account to direct people to her Senate campaign.

The Foundation for Accountability and Civic Trust says Demings used her official Twitter account, with more than 300,000 followers, to direct people to her campaign account, which the conservative-leaning group is calling an "ongoing ethics violation," according to the Washington Free Beacon.

The complaint to the Office of Congressional Ethics more specifically argues that by using her official account, Demings violated House rules banning the use of taxpayer-funded resources for campaign use.

In response to mounting pressure from progressive lawmakers and tenant advocates, the Biden administration has once again extended the federal government's eviction moratorium for another month.

"The COVID-19 pandemic has presented a historic threat to the nation's public health. Keeping people in their homes and out of crowded or congregate settings—like homeless shelters—by preventing evictions is a key step in helping to stop the spread of COVID-19," said the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in a statement today.

Today's order extends the moratorium until July 31. The CDC said in a statement that this is intended to be the final extension of its eviction ban.

Someone hacked a highway road sign in Miami to display their opinions on COVID-19 and Dr. Anthony Fauci.

"Arrest Fauci" "COVID-19 was a hoax" and "vaccines kill" were among the messages displayed on the sign on the 836 near the exit to Northwest 27th Avenue early Tuesday.

By mid-morning, after Miami-Dade Expressway Authority officials were aware of the incident, the sign had been fixed or turned off.
