UN criticizes use of child soldiers after Burkina Faso govt says massacre of over 130 people was carried out by kids

The United Nations (UN) has condemned the use of child soldiers after reports from Burkina Faso that a recent attack, in which over 130 people were killed in mass shootings and home raids, was carried out by kids as young as 12.

Spokesperson for the Burkinabe government, Ousseni Tamboura, said information gleaned during interrogations after the attack indicated that most of the assailants of the brutal attack on Solhan village were youths aged between just 12 and 14.

In response to the authorities’ claims, the UN branch dedicated to the rights and wellbeing of children, UNICEF, condemned the recruitment of child soldiers by terrorist groups as a “grave violation of their fundamental rights.”

The brutal attack on the northern village of Solhan occurred late at night on June 4, with the assault continuing into June 5. The perpetrators destroyed homes, set a market ablaze and shot scores of residents. According to the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC), around 3,300 people managed to flee the unfolding attack in Solhan.

The official death toll stands at 132 fatalities, but the total number is reported to be over 160, with around 20 children among the deceased.

While no one has yet claimed responsibility for the attack, the Burkinabe government has said it suspects that Al-Qaeda sympathizers, specifically the Group to Support Islam and Muslims (JNIM), are responsible.

Burkina Faso has been plagued by an increase in terrorist attacks by Jihadi groups affiliated with Al-Qaeda for several years.

An estimated 40% of all child soldiers globally operate in Africa. It has been theorized that the reasons for deploying child soldiers are that they are seen as more “dispensible” than adults and often show greater loyalty to commanders than adults.

Since 2019, more than 1.2 million people living in Burkina Faso have been expelled from their homes due to turbulent conditions in the country. Over 80% of those displaced this year alone are women or children, according to the UNHCR.

Democrat Mayor Lovely Warren, Charged For Alleged Campaign Finance Fraud, Loses Primary

The Democratic mayor of Rochester, New York, lost her mayoral primary race Tuesday amid ongoing charges alleging campaign finance violations, Fox News reported.

Mayor Lovely Warren was indicted in October for alleged campaign finance fraud, which she continues to deny, according to The Associated Press. After serving two terms as mayor since 2014, Warren lost the primary to Malik Evans, a councilman and school board member in the city, Fox News reported.

Evans entered the race in January with the goal of restoring “trust and government transparency” to Rochester, Syracuse.com reported. He gave a victory speech saying Rochester is a step closer to being placed in the “upper echelon.”

“Tonight is the true beginning of our journey together to put Rochester in the upper echelon of U.S. cities where it belongs,” Evans said.

Police raided the couple’s Woodman Park home in May after obtaining a warrant against Warren’s estranged husband, Timothy Granison, for allegedly trafficking cocaine, according to Fox News. Warren claimed she has been estranged from her husband for years and had no knowledge relating to the charges brought against him, according to Syracuse.com. Granison is facing three felonies, two for drug possession and one weapons charge.

Warren had been scrutinized for her response to the death of Daniel Prude, who died after a police encounter in March 2020. Prude had reportedly been running down the streets naked and banging on store windows the evening following his release from a mental hospital. When officers found Prude, they pinned him to the ground for two minutes until he lost consciousness.

After the incident, Prude remained on life support for a week before being pronounced dead. The officers did not face charges for Prude’s death.

As protests ensued over the death, Warren was under pressure to step down over accusations that city officials attempted to cover up the death by not immediately releasing bodycam footage. The mayor fired the city’s police chief Le’Ron Singletary over Prude’s death.

John McAfee’s lawyer says anti-virus tycoon showed no indication he would take his own life

The lawyer for anti-virus software tycoon John McAfee – who was found dead in his Spanish jail cell on Wednesday while awaiting extradition to the United States – says he saw no indication the businessman wanted to kill himself.

Javier Villalba told Reuters on Thursday that he “had constant telephone contact” with McAfee and “at no point had he shown any special worry or clue that could let us think this could have happened.”

Villalba added that McAfee’s death was particularly painful “because it was not justified under any circumstance that this man remained in the jail.”

McAfee had been incarcerated in Barcelona, Spain since October last year as the United States sought his extradition for alleged tax evasion. McAfee was found dead in his cell just hours after the Spanish National Court approved his transfer to the US.

Conspiracy theories surrounding McAfee’s death have since blown up on social media, due to previous statements by the businessman which warned that if he is found dead of an apparent suicide “a la Epstein” in the future, he was “whackd.”

On Father’s Day, several days before McAfee’s death, his wife Janice McAfee published a statement claiming that the US government wanted her husband to “die in prison” to “make an example of him for speaking out against corruption within their government agencies.”

“There is no hope for him ever having a fair trial in America because there is no longer any justice in America,” she declared, before concluding that the eight months her husband had spent in jail had been “hard on his overall health both mentally and physically.”

Earlier this month, John McAfee had tweeted that he had “nothing” left financially, despite the US government thinking he has “hidden” cryptocurrency.

“I wish I did but it has dissolved through the many hands of Team McAfee (your belief is not required), and my remaining assets are all seized,” he said, claiming his friends had also “evaporated through fear of association.”

“I have nothing. Yet, I regret nothing,” McAfee concluded.

McAfee faced up to 30 years in prison in the US if found guilty of tax evasion.

Former US President Bill Clinton claims he suffered from a ‘cancel culture’ attack perpetrated by the Republican Party, before the tactics became popular with the liberals.

The question of how social media propagation is enabling cancel culture today, often not in a helpful way, was brought up during Clinton’s interview with the British TV channel ITV. The ex-president lamented that there was a “problem of cloudy definitions” present, before ironically giving a pretty vague remark about his personal experience.

“The first canceling I ever lived with throughout my life was the canceling that people on the Right tried to do to people who weren't,” Clinton said. “Then it became tempting when the demographics changed to go the other way.”

He then contemplated how “criticism works better than canceling” because it is supposed to come from a place of good faith and help the subject of criticism to become better.

Clinton was speaking alongside writer James Patterson about a fiction book the two men co-authored and were promoting during the interview, which was aired on Wednesday.

With Clinton failing to specify who the Republicans tried to cancel during his presidential tenure, one can only speculate. The Republican-controlled House impeached him for perjury and obstruction of justice during an investigation into his affair with a White House intern, but the Senate refused to convict and remove him from office.

Cancel culture is generally understood as a modern form of ostracism that was made possible by the spread of social media, which empowered the common folk to voice their anger against particular individuals. It is hailed by some for giving a chance to the oppressed to hold accountable those who would previously be shielded by their power and wealth. Others say it’s often nothing more than cyberbullying by self-righteous online mobs that can ruin the lives of people, who hold no actual influence, over even minor slights committed decades ago.

After Black Sea Incident Russia Warns: Next Time We Will Not Miss!

Spokesmen for the Russian government have said that if warnings about not entering their waters are ignored their weapons will be “right on target” in future, the latest escalation over the disputed ownership of territorial waters in the Black Sea.

Russia has continued to push statements into the public domain since it buzzed a British warship — and, they claim, dropped “warning” bombs in its path — on Wednesday. Britain denied the use of weapons even took place, noting that while pre-announced Russian naval exercises were taking place nearby, no weapons were aimed at the British.

As well as summoning the British defence attaché in Moscow, the Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov has slammed the British for sailing in disputed waters Russia claims as its own.

Peskov accused the British of staging a “deliberate and prepared provocation”, reports Interfax. He even claimed, contrary perhaps to the expectations of some, that it was “at odds with international law”.

Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov was even more forthright in his comments, reported by the Associated Press, that Britain’s HMS Defender should be renamed HMS Attacker and that by testing Russia, the UK was “taking high risks”.

Russia would be more violent in response to ships entering the water it claims as its own, he said, commenting: “we may drop bombs and not just in the path but right on target”.

The British, for their part, have said people should not get “carried away”.

While the exact events of Wednesday afternoon in the Black Sea are disputed — Russia claims warning shots were fired at a British warship and Britain denies this happened — it is certain that HMS Defender sailed from Odesa in Ukraine to Georgia, passing close by Crimea as it did so.

The United Kingdom, like most nations worldwide, recognises Crimea as rightfully Ukrainian territory, and consequently the waters surrounding it as Ukrainian. Furthermore, it asserts that the route it took was the shortest between two points and that it acted within international law.

Norway Says Risk Of Dying From AstraZeneca CoviShield Vaccine Higher Than Of COVID-19

Norway has announced that you are at a greater risk of dying from AstraZeneca vaccine branded as Covishield in India than from COVID-19. While waiting for the final decision on the controversial vaccine, Norway has meanwhile decided to offload its stock of AstraZeneca to fellow Nordic countries that actually want to use them despite the associated risks.

Norwegians run a greater risk of dying from being inoculated with AstraZeneca’s vaccine than from COVID-19, the National Institute of Public Health (FHI) concluded in its analysis, recommending the vaccine, previously linked to serious complications in the form of rare blood clotting and haemorrhage amid low platelet counts.

Abstaining from the vaccine could possibly prevent up to 10 deaths related to side effects, the FHI said, according to the newspaper Verdens Gang.

So far, Norway has seen five cases of serious incidents reported shortly after vaccination, with three fatalities. FHI has calculated the mortality rate from the AstraZeneca vaccine as 2.3 people per 100,000 vaccinated.

The FHI stressed that continuing to inoculate will by contrast expose younger women to an “unreasonably high risk”, given the current relatively levels of infection in Norway.

Thousands of flights cancelled as vaccinated pilots fall ill or die

Pilots are encouraged to be aware of the signs of deep venous thrombosis and clotting issues and take preventative measures such as compression stockings and stretching of their legs during long flights.

Medical News Today published a study on June 15th, 2021 that showed an increased risk of blood clotting and low platelets in AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine recipients. Some scientists hypothesize that since the ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) in the shot causes a full body reaction, once the vaccine comes into contact with platelets inside the human body, the vaccine activates those platelets, causing them to change shape and transmit chemical signals to the immune system. Those platelets send out platelet factor 4 (PF4), which regulates blood clotting.

However, in some people, after some undetermined amount of time, at random, PF4 latches onto the vaccine, and large “complexes” form. Since those complexes are “unknown,” the human body interprets those clusters as threats. Thus, immune cells in the body mistakenly attack PF4’s, prohibiting them from preventing the problematic clots seen in some COVID-19 vaccine recipients.

British Airways boasts that 85% of its employees are vaccinated. Airlines are so quick to obey the COVID-19 vaccine narrative that they forget the welfare of their own employees is at stake.

According to flightaware.com, 120,000 cancellations per year is the average for global flights. An average day would see 329 cancellations. A 2 day average would see 658 cancellations. But between Friday and Saturday, 3,533 cancellations occurred. That’s a 580% increase in cancellations globally in the past 2 days.

Biden shared a video featuring Dr. Anthony Fauci speaking about the rise of the Delta variant, pointing out young people were “most at risk” of getting the virus because they were not vaccinated yet.

“Younger people are less likely to be vaccinated. That puts the entire cohort of young people at greater risk,” Fauci said.

The Biden White House is struggling to convince young American adults to get vaccinated, as they failed to meet their July 4th goal of getting 70 percent of American adults vaccinated.

Fauci said in the video that coronavirus vaccines were over 90 percent effective at protecting people from getting hospitalized by the virus.

“The way to stop the delta variant is to get vaccinated,” he said.

The delta variant of the coronavirus was first discovered in India and is spreading around the world, as U.S. government health officials warn that it may also spread in the United States.

Israeli health officials reported that as many as half of the new coronavirus cases in Israel are in vaccinated people, driven by the spread of the Delta variant.

The White House Twitter account quickly deleted a video of Anthony Fauci pushing Americans to get vaccinated against COVID-19 in response to the emerging “Delta Variant,” re-posting an edited version of the video excluding a portion where Fauci instructs vaccinated people to “avoid congregate settings” with unvaccinated people.

Posted to Joe Biden’s official Twitter account, the original June 24th post included Fauci answering the following question:

Are there special precautions that vaccinated people should be taking, as well as unvaccinated people?

“Vaccinated people, even though they’re very very well protected, they still should try as best as possible to avoid congregate settings in which there are a lot of unvaccinated people, particularly if you happen to live in an area where the infection rate is high and the vaccination rate is low,” he answers.

Ten Convicted in Migrant NGO Scam Case That Cost Italians Millions

The Court of Milan has convicted ten people who were part of a network that defrauded the Italian state of millions of euros while managing funds for migrant reception NGOs.

The suspects were convicted of fraud against the state over the handling of at least €7.5 million (£6.41m/$8.96m) meant to go towards four migrant reception NGOs.

Area Solidale (Solidarity Area), Volunteers Without Borders, Amici di Madre Teresa (Friends of Mother Teresa), and Milano Solidale (Solidarity Milan) were all named as part of the fraud and were supposed to use state money to help newly arrived migrants, but kept much of the cash for themselves, Il Giornale reports.

Daniela Giaconi, the 69-year-old head of Consorzio Area Solidale who is believed to be at the centre of the scam, received the longest sentence of 11 years in prison for her role in the fraud. Prosecutor Gianluca Prisco had requested a 13-year sentence.

The other convicted fraudsters were handed sentences of between four years and nine months to eight years in prison.

The NGOs used false documentation to obtain €7.5 million from the Italian Interior Ministry and are also said to have had connections with the mafia group known as ‘Ndrangheta.

The judge also ordered the confiscation of €9 million (£7.7m/$10.75m) in funds and the payment of €200,000 (£171,055/$238,930) for the Interior Ministry, which was a civil party in the case. Judges are expected to file their reasons for the rulings in the next 90 days.

The case is not the first time a pro-migrant NGO has been accused of defrauding taxpayers.

In 2018, the co-op Solidarity took cash from the government of the city of Florence to house migrants. But investigators later learned the group was not providing the services they had promised and even housed migrants in a facility above its intended capacity.

Giovanni Donzelli, a member of the populist-conservative Brothers of Italy (FdI), now one of the most popular parties in Italy, commented at the time on the case, saying: “They used migrants as a human commodity. The left has long been co-responsible for the waste of public money and the exploitation of these people used to make money for the co-operatives.”

FDA says it approved controversial Alzheimer's drug despite doubt over its effectiveness because clinical trial data showed it was 'reasonably likely' to help patients

The U.S Food and Drug Administration (FDA) defended its controversial decision to approve the first new Alzheimer's drug since 2003 this week.

Aducanumab, which was developed by Biogen and will be sold under the name Aduhelm, received FDA approval at the start of the month, kicking off a tumultuous few weeks.

In the time since, three members of am FDA advisory panel related to the drug's approval stepped down in protest, and it was revealed the drug will end up being the largest liability of any drug for Medicare.

But the federal agency said that clinical trial data showed it was 'reasonably likely' to help patients

'FDA has heard the voices of many patients afflicted with [Alzheimer's disease] who express a desperate desire for an effective treatment,' Peter Stein, director of the FDA's Office of New Drugs, told the Washington Post.

'In summary, the medical need for new therapies to treat [Alzheimer's disease], especially ones that target the underlying disease pathology, is substantial and urgent.'

Aduhelm has been shown to remove the amyloid beta plaques from the brain that some believe cause the cognitive decline associated with Alzheimer's.

Because of this, the drug - which has already been used to treat some patients - has received some support from the Alzheimer's community, though.

Some experts doubt that removing the amyloid beta plaques will do much to slow down cognitive decline, though.

Aduhelm received accelerated approval from the agency rather than full approval, meaning Biogen will still need to perform ongoing clinical trials on the drug.

If data show the drug has value in combatting Alzheimer's it will receive full approval, but a failed trial could see it pulled from the market.

Janet Woodcock, acting commissioner of the FDA, told The Post on Tuesday that she was 'fairly confident 'that the removal of the plaques will help patients and that it is 'reasonably likely' the drug will produce clinical benefit.

'I feel it is a very solid accelerated approval,' she said.

Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz introduces bill that would ban all federal support for vaccine passports

Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz recently introduced H.R. 3660, or the Digital Health Pass Prevention Act (DHPPA) of 2021, that would ban all federal support for vaccine passports.

If passed, the bill would prevent the federal government from funding and enforcing any program that uses digital health passes, which are used to verify an individual’s coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccination status unrelated to official health care records.

The bill is co-sponsored by Texas Reps. Louie Gohmert and Lance Gooden – both Republicans like Gaetz.

“We will not allow the public health bureaucracy to be a new entity to drain our liberty away in the United States of America. The federal government has no business asking Americans for their vaccination status, and they should not have the ability to use taxpayer funds to support third parties who do,” Gaetz said.

“Americans will not trade mask mandates for vaccine mandates. I urge every freedom fighter in Congress to join my efforts to ban federal support for vaccine passports.”

Florida in frontline of battle against vaccine passports

Gaetz’s home state is known for vigorously opposing vaccine passports.

Last month, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed Senate Bill (SB) 2006. The bill takes aim at vaccine passports and arbitrary lockdowns while enhancing emergency preparedness for future emergencies.

“In Florida, your personal choice regarding vaccinations will be protected and no business or government entity will be able to deny you services based on your decision,” said DeSantis.

“Over the last year we’ve avoided protracted lockdowns and school closures in Florida because I have refused to take the same approach as other lockdown governors. This legislation ensures that legal safeguards are in place so that local governments cannot arbitrarily close our schools or businesses.”

SB 2006 will ensure that neither the state nor local governments can close businesses or keep students out of in-person classes at Florida schools, except during hurricane emergencies.

The legislation codifies the prohibition of COVID-19 vaccine passports. DeSantis enacted this prohibition through an executive order in April, blocking any business or government entity from requiring proof of COVID-19 vaccination.

Hundreds of DOCTORS get covid-19 AFTER being vaccinated, with dozens hospitalized

Indonesia is seeing a new wave of hospitalizations, as hospital bed capacity reaches 90 percent. More than 350 healthcare workers have tested positive for covid-19, despite being vaccinated earlier this year. Dozens of vaccinated doctors are now hospitalized. The so-called “efficacy” of the vaccination protocol is already wearing off, putting the vaccine guinea pigs at greater risk to the latest coronavirus variants.

Badai Ismoyo, head of the health office in the district of Kudus, says many of the vaccinated doctors are isolating at home and getting better. However, dozens of these vaccinated doctors are hospitalized with high fevers and are experiencing low oxygen-saturation levels. Some are being wheeled into the ICU.

Fully vaccinated Indonesian healthcare workers are being hospitalized en masse

At the capitol of Jakarta, radiologist Dr. Prijo Sidipratomo reports there have been at least half a dozen doctors hospitalized with COVID-19 in the past month alone, despite being fully vaccinated. The healthcare workers are now concerned that the vaccinations are failing. “It is alarming for us because we cannot rely on vaccinations only,” said Dr. Sidipratomo.

At first, the vaccines appeared to work, to some degree. The number of Indonesian healthcare workers who died from COVID-19 dropped sharply from 158 in January to 13 in May. But the short-term efficacy of these vaccines has already worn off. It’s also hard to know the reasons why fully vaccinated healthcare workers are dying now. The Indonesian medical system has not been forthcoming with information on why healthcare workers died before and after being vaccinated. The cause of these deaths are easy to mislabel, relabel and misconstrue. If these healthcare workers died last year, it was easily labeled “death by covid-19” but this year, medical systems are slow to announce that either covid-19 or the vaccine caused their death.

Siti Nadia Tarmizi, a senior health ministry official, has refused to comment on the number of vaccinated healthcare workers who have passed away in 2021. However, there have been at least six confirmed cases of hospital staff dying with symptoms of covid-19 post-vaccination – including one nurse and five doctors. The number of doctor deaths post-vaccination do not seem to be as important as the number of doctors who passed away since this bioweapon experiment began.

Mass vaccination campaigns are pressuring new variants into existence, causing new fatalities

Kudus is home to nearly 5,000 healthcare workers. In January, front-line healthcare workers were given top priority for the covid-19 experimental vaccines. According to the Indonesian Medical Association, almost every single healthcare worker in the region took the experimental vaccine protocol. Indonesia is using the emergency use Sinovac vaccine, which was developed in Beijing.

The World Health Organization gave the Sinovac vaccine emergency use listing in June — even though short-term, preliminary clinical studies showed it only prevented symptomatic disease half the time (51 percent). The vaccine’s purported efficacy is no better than flipping a coin. Moreover, there’s no data on the vaccine’s ability to prevent hospitalization and death over time. The real factors that determine hospitalization and death are never studied in these clinical vaccine trials. This lackluster data on vaccinated populations was not compared to data on natural infection, which is also known to exhibit mild symptoms for healthy people, and has proven to convey long-lasting immunity.

Worse yet, after the mass vaccination campaigns began, covid-19 cases suddenly became labeled “covid-19 variants” as “breakthrough cases” began appearing in the vaccinated populations. Now the general population is dealing with new “variants” that have mutated into existence post-vaccination. This crisis will only grow worse as the health of the innate immune system is suppressed and neglected.

US Intelligence Says Kabul Could Fall 6 Months After Pullout

Hawks use these claims to justify staying, but the fact that the Afghan government is expected to collapse shows the futility of the war

As the US is pulling out of Afghanistan, Western media has been full of stories warning that the Afghan government will collapse shortly after the US leaves. On Wednesday, The Wall Street Journal cited anonymous officials who said US intelligence assessed that Kabul could fall within six to 12 months of a US pullout.

While mainstream media reports citing anonymous officials are not the most trustworthy sources, the story is notable because hawks want to use what they see as an inevitable collapse of the Afghan government as a reason for the US to stay and prolong the war. But the fact the Afghan government is ready to fall after almost 20 years of the US funneling money into building it up demonstrates the futility of the war and is a better argument for why the US must get out.

The Journal report said US intelligence updated a more positive assessment based on recent gains by the Taliban. The Pentagon has suggested that it could slow the “pace” of its withdrawal due to recent Taliban advancements. But a prolonged US presence would only incentivize the Taliban to launch more attacks, and it would put US troops in danger. Since the US-Taliban peace deal was signed in Doha in February 2020, no US troops have died in combat in Afghanistan.

The optics of the US withdrawing as the Taliban is making large gains does not look good for Washington. President Biden created the current situation by pushing back the original May 1st withdrawal deadline to September 11th. Before May, violence was raging, but the Taliban had not made moves to take such significant territory.

Pushing back the withdrawal also delayed potential intra-Afghan peace talks. The chance of the Taliban and Kabul finding a diplomatic solution may be small, but the one thing that guarantees it won’t happen is a continued US presence. The US’s post-withdrawal plans to have Turkish troops guard the Kabul airport might also fuel more violence since the Taliban see a continued foreign presence as a violation of the Doha agreement.

Kremlin slams incident with British destroyer as deliberate provocation

The actions of British destroyer HMS Defender in the Black Sea violate international law, they are unacceptable, Dmitry Peskov stressed

The Kremlin voiced regret over the incident with the British destroyer in the Black Sea, dismissing this as deliberate and prepared provocation, Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Thursday.

"We consider that the British destroyer has carried out provocation. Moreover, we regret as this was deliberate and prepared provocation," Peskov said, commenting on the June 23 incident in the Black Sea.

The actions of British destroyer HMS Defender in the Black Sea violate international law, they are unacceptable, Peskov stressed. "Of course, we are concerned over the actions of the British vessel. We consider such actions unacceptable, they are in violation of international law," the spokesman said.

According to him, Russia’s border guards and armed forces will hold a rather tough stance if anyone tries to stage provocations like this incident with the British warship in the Black Sea in the future.

On June 23, the Russian Defense Ministry said that the Black Sea Fleet, acting in cooperation with the border guard force of the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB), stopped a violation of the state border by the British destroyer HMS Defender off Crimea's Cape Fiolent. The destroyer ventured three kilometers into Russia's territorial waters. A border guard patrol ship fired warning shots, and a Sukhoi-24M bomber dropped bombs ahead of the destroyer. After that, the HMS Defender left Russia's territorial waters.

The Russian Defense Ministry later described the British ship's actions as a gross violation of the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea and urged the British side to investigate the crew's actions.

Life is good for companies that hire lobbyist Jeff Ricchetti, the brother of President Joe Biden’s longtime political aide Steve Ricchetti. Jeff Ricchetti runs a top lobbying firm whose clients secured meetings with Biden and other members of the president’s cabinet.

Both General Motors and Amazon hired Ricchetti Incorporated after Biden defeated Donald Trump. Within months of hiring the lobbying firm, both companies scored high-profile meetings with the president and his cabinet that focused on their shared concerns about the shortage of semiconductors.

The semiconductor meetings underscore how Ricchetti has established himself as a go-to for corporations looking for access in the Biden administration. Ricchetti’s lobbying income has soared in the early months of the Biden administration—according to the Center for Responsive Politics, Ricchetti's firm brought in $820,000 in the first quarter of 2021, nearly five times more than what he earned during the same period in 2020.

Three months after GM hired Ricchetti to lobby the House, Senate, and Department of Commerce on topics including "issues related to the availability of semiconductors and critical supply chains for manufacture of automobiles," the company received an invite to a May 20 summit with Gina Raimondo, the secretary of commerce. According to contemporary coverage, the meeting focused on "companies impacted by the global semiconductor shortage." Also in the Raimondo meeting was another Ricchetti client, Amazon, which hired Ricchetti just 10 days after Biden was elected, according to lobbyist disclosure forms.

Amazon and GM paid Ricchetti’s firm a combined $130,000 in the first quarter of 2021.

Biden hosted GM's CEO for an April 12 summit on how to "[address] the global semiconductor shortage." After the high-visibility meeting, GM’s CEO cosigned a statement thanking the Biden administration for its ongoing cooperation in resolving the shortage.

GM and Amazon are among those most affected by a global shortage of semiconductors, which are needed for everything from calibrating fuel injection to web services. GM told the White House the shortage will cut off $2 billion worth of annual profits, according to CNBC. Following multiple meetings with top Biden officials, GM announced this month that its chip shortage problem was entering the rear-view mirror, and it "expected to increase shipments" of vehicles in the coming weeks.

Neither GM nor Amazon responded to requests for comment on hiring Ricchetti Incorporated after Biden's election.

Ricchetti insists he has no knowledge of any of his brother’s day-to-day business at the White House.

Red Cross declares 'severe blood shortage’ in US, result of COVID, behavior as pandemic wanes

The Red Cross reports that Type O blood supply has been down to half a day’s worth and there is an “emergency need” for people to donate platelets.

COVID-19 and Americans' behavior as the country emerges from the pandemic – like finally getting surgery – has led to a nationwide shortage of blood donations in hospitals over the past few months.

Beyond people delaying medical procedures for fear of contracting the virus, officials also point to the inevitable increase in trauma as more people get outside and on the road, all leading to an increase in patients needing blood.

"The Red Cross is currently experiencing a severe blood shortage," said Chris Hrouda, president of Red Cross Biomedical Services.s

According to The New York Times, the lack of blood donations is not a new issue but is more dire since the shortage last year when blood donation centers had to close due to the pandemic.

"In the first place, the pandemic, for more than a year, imposed conditions, such as social distancing, that were inimical to blood donation," Dr. Merlyn Sayers, resident and chief executive of Carter BloodCare, told the newspaper. "And now, with the gradual emergence from restrictions, hospital demands for blood have increased dramatically as patients who understandably avoided hospitalization for fear of Covid are presenting for treatment."

She also called the blood shortage a "national crisis."

The Red Cross says the blood demand from hospitals with trauma centers increase by 10% this year, compared to 2019.

Jailed Murderer Wins Public Office in D.C. Election with Five Inmate Candidates from Same Prison

As the homicide rate hits a record high in Washington D.C. the city elects a convicted murderer to public office in a unique election featuring all inmate candidates. The freshly elected public official, Joel Caston, has been in prison 26 years and is currently incarcerated at the District of Columbia Jail. In 1996 Caston was convicted by a jury of first-degree murder for ambushing and killing a man in the city’s Anacostia neighborhood. Court records obtained by Judicial Watch indicate that a 2016 appeal was denied. In the document, Caston’s attorneys name the victim, which is not common practice today. Court records also reveal a “speed loader”—a device used to rapidly load ammunition into a firearm—was found by police under Caston’s mattress after the shooting. It contained six rounds of .44 caliber ammunition as well as additional rounds of ammo.

Now Caston is a commissioner on D.C.’s Advisory Neighborhood Commission (ANC), which advises the D.C. Council and other local government entities involving matters ranging from liquor license applications to public safety. Commissioners serve two-year terms and are elected in even-numbered years. The ANC was established to bring “government closer to the people, and to bring the people closer to government,” according to its website. Caston was chosen by voters to represent Ward 7, one of D.C.’s most crime-infested areas. It is represented by Councilman Vince Gray, an ex-D.C. mayor who was embroiled in a campaign finance scandal. The Ward 7 ANC seat has never been occupied and D.C. officials conducted an unprecedented election earlier this month to fill the post. All five candidates and the majority of voters they courted are incarcerated at the same prison with Caston, according to a local news report.

The Mainstream Media’s Manipulative Language Is the Real #1 Threat

Any list of potential threats to America, a corporation or an individual (etc.) will always have a top threat that could very well be a non-threat.

We could be living in a very calm world. Unlike generations past, there are no massive traditional wars, nor do we need to sew our own clothing or pray that the yield of our field will keep us alive till spring. For much if not most of the world there really is no particular fight for survival. But humanity has been fighting for its place under the sun for so long that we have become simply restless by nature and with the power of modern media we are easily convinced that we are in the same boat as our Dark Age ancestors if not worse. This is the power of image (and in today’s topic wording) that can convince many of us who live quite well that a Hollywood-style apocalypse is surely on the near horizon or that we are already knee deep in it.

One obvious Mainstream Media tactic that plays on the heartstrings of the public and viscous subconscious of lawmaking human suits is the use of the word “threat”. This wording weapon really stands out when one lives in Russia, the country that is always labeled the #1 threat by quotes in major news sources. The issue is that our word of the day is very manipulative in the sense that it demands action. If your life, family or business were under threat you would do something to avert or destroy that threat, right? This is a natural human response and one that is naturally open to manipulation.

To demonstrate this “threat” dynamic we can use an example. Let’s say there are three men in a room. One is six feet tall, the next is 6’3” and the other is 6’4”. The Mainstream Media (especially if it were in their interests to do so) would boldly call the man who is at an even six foot – “short”. All the other news organizations that share a vested interest in making this man seem small, would all parrot some quote about this person “coming up short”, his “size matters” or being “half the man they thought”. If you pump enough cliched garbage at something that is technically kind of true (he is definitively the shortest man in the room) then most of the public will go for it. Perhaps they don’t like this gent and prefer to perceive him as a tiny manlet or they have just heard him called short so many times that this idea is comfortable and don’t want the notion to be challenged. In many ways our worldview is like a series of trenches, hopping into one and taking it is easy when it is undefended, but after years of an idea being fortified into a position it takes a lot of effort to force it out. Many become comfortable with the lie they are used to.

The smarter, more aggressive, logic-based chunk of the population (like the readership of the Strategic Culture Foundation) would challenge this. After all, since only 14% of the male population is above six feet tall, that means that all of these men are tall, just one happens to have a bit less “tallness” than the others. But, sadly this call to reason and truth has little ability to stop the freight-train of quarter-truths and manipulation that is the Mainstream Media and they know that and use this sort of mechanism when discussing “threats”.

China Equipped Syrian Army To Combat Turkistan Islamic Party In Greater Idlib – Report

China has supplies the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) with military equipment to combat the al-Qaeda-affiliated Turkistan Islamic Party (TIP) in the northwestern Syrian region of Greater Idlib, the Syrian 7al.net news website reported on June 22.

An officer in the SAA told the Syrian website that the equipment was supplied to the army’s 3rd Armored Division and the 25th Special Forces Division. Both units are deployed on Greater Idlib main frontlines.

The TIP, made up mainly from Chinese Uyghurs, has been active near the town of Jisr al-Shughur in northwestern Idlib, the town of Kabani in northern Lattakia and in the al-Ghab Plains in northwestern Hama. The terrorist group is a close ally of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham, the de-facto ruler of Greater Idlib. It also operates with much freedom near Turkish forces in the region. The group has around 4,000 fighters.

Last year, the US removed the TIP, more known as the East Turkestan Islamic Movement, from its terror list. The move provoked China which was hit by the group’s terrorist activities.

According to 7al.net, the equipment supplied by China included JY-27 “Wide Mat” early warning radar and unidentified electronic warfare systems.

JY-27 radars, which has a detection range of up to 390 km, were spotted in Syria before. It’s unclear how these aerial radars would support the fight against the TIP in Greater Idlib. China may have supplied the SAA with the radars as a gesture of goodwill.

7al.net speculated that the support for the SAA may be the first step towards a direct Chinese military intervention against the TIP in Greater Idlib. This is very possible.

Over the last few years, several reports talked about a near Chinese military intervention in Syria on the side of the Damascus government. Nevertheless, none of these reports have materialized, so far.

WHISTLEBLOWER: Georgia Conducted Secret Investigation of Tainted Ballots; Pressured Monitor To Recant Affidavit

Last year, poll monitors in Fulton County, Georgia, testified that in November there were boxes of mail-in ballots for Joe Biden that looked like they’d been run through a photocopy machine. One suspicious box was opened and inspected by state investigators, according to a report from RealClearInvestigations.

A whistleblower also told RealClearInvestigations that state investigators pressured her to recant her story about the unusually “pristine” mail-in ballots during the November hand recount.

“I felt I was under investigation,” said longtime Fulton County poll manager Suzi Voyles. Her sworn affidavits had been used by election watchdogs to sue the county for access to the potentially fraudulent ballots.

Despite the testimony of poll workers of potentially fraudulent ballots, the state never disclosed its probe publicly or to election watchdogs seeking access to the ballots in question.

State officials also neglected to inform the judge hearing the lawsuit that they were conducting such an inspection, even though the judge had issued a protective order over the ballots in January. In a nine-page amicus brief recently filed in the case, attorneys for the office of Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger urged Superior Court Judge Brian Amero to deny petitioners’ requests to inspect the ballots, calling them a “fishing expedition.”

Frances Watson, chief investigator for the secretary of state’s office, confirmed in a statement to RCI that she sent investigators to Fulton County earlier this year to inspect the batches of sealed ballots. Poll monitors involved in last November’s hand recount had described the mail-in ballots in sworn affidavits as devoid of creases and folds and featuring identically bubbled-in marks for Biden. But the state said it could not find any ballots matching that description.

“Our investigators looked into it and didn’t find anything,” she said, while adding the investigation is “still ongoing.”

The secrecy of the investigation raises concerns that the sealed ballots may have been tampered with.

“If the secretary of state’s office did that, they tampered with the ballots and violated Georgia state law,” longtime Georgia poll watcher and founder of VOterGA.org Garland Favorito said. “They would have had to ask for a court order to unseal and inspect those ballots and they never did that.”

Raffensperger’s office didn’t respond to questions about the secret probe.

Biden’s state-certified victory in Georgia was by less than 12,000 votes and came courtesy of a late-night counting of absentee ballots from Democrat strongholds.

Earlier this week we also learned that a contractor hired by Raffensperger’s office to monitor election counting in Fulton County documented massive election integrity failures and mismanagement that he witnessed. Former Trump lawyer Jenna Ellis pointed out that Raffensperger’s office most certainly knew of these issues even when Raffensperger and other Georgia officials were saying unequivocally that the 2020 election in Georgia was above board.

'IMPOSTER': Tamir Rice's Mom Tells Shaun King He Is 'a White Man Acting Black'

On Tuesday, Samaria Rice, the mother of Tamir Rice, condemned former Black Lives Matter leader Shaun King as a “white man” and an “imposter.” She accused him of trying to fundraise off of her son’s death and off of a call she had with him. She described the call as “very toxic and uncomfortable for me.”

“Why do you think its [sic] so important to tell folks we had a conversation? Well we talked and everything that was said was very toxic and uncomfortable for me to hear that you raised additional money and then say you did not want to to [sic] bother me,” Rice wrote in a post on Instagram. “Personally I don’t understand how you sleep at night. I never gave you permission to raise nothing. along with the United States, you robbed me for the death of my son.”

A white police officer shot and killed Rice’s 12-year-old son Tamir in Cleveland, Ohio, in November 2014. His death received national media coverage and boosted the Black Lives Matter movement.

King raised $60,000 for the family, but family attorney Timothy Kucharski said that neither he nor the Rice family had heard of King or the fundraiser and they had not received any money. A court seized the money King raised and put it into Tamir Rice’s estate. Rice launched a second charity drive, raising $25,000 for the family.

As Newsweek reported, Rice appeared to be referencing the recent podcast episode King posted on Tuesday entitled “Ep. 469 – I spoke to Samaria Rice this week.” King appears to have deleted the episode, which is no longer posted among other episodes of “Breakdown with Shaun King.”

“It was a much-needed conversation. I learned a lot. Listened a lot. Shared my heart. And pledged we would continue to fight to get justice and accountability for Tamir,” King wrote in the episode’s description.

In a blog post, King said that Rice finally reached out to him recently after years of knowing about his work.

“Samaria first acknowledged that she was aware that I had reached out to her over the past few months through several different channels. And then she spoke for a good 20 minutes about her pain, her frustrations, her questions, and her struggles,” King recalled. “She acknowledged that she was aware that I had written articles about Tamir across the years and had raised money for her family, but it was in that part of the conversation that I truly came to understand a central mistake that I had made with her.”

“For the past 7 years, I have left Samaria Rice alone,” he added.

The post went on to detail the history of his fundraising efforts for Tamir. King claimed that others had lied to Samaria Rice about his efforts. He said he apologized to her for “assuming that the people around her were doing right by her.”

“Everything else — every harsh word said about me, every lie spread by people about my work for Samaria, I just have to let go of. For her. And for Tamir,” King concluded.

Yet Rice claimed that King gave her a “cop and donut conversation.”

“All lies Shaun, please stop thinking we are on the same page. As a white man acting black you are a imposter [sic] that can not to be trusted. My son was 12 years old and, and DOJ needs to reopen his case period. Tamir Human rights was violated, why would you so ever make it about you? you are a selfish self centered person and God will deal with you White man,” Rice concluded, bitterly.

Doctoral Candidate Who Sought to Prove Justice System Was 'Racist Against Blacks' Stabbed to Death by Black Male in Chicago

Anat Kimchi, a 31-year-old Israeli-born doctoral candidate and scholar at the University of Maryland, wrote a paper published in the Journal of Quantitative Criminology in 2019 attempting to prove America's criminal justice system was racist against "young black offenders" and "black drug offenders."

While visiting Chicago over the weekend, Kimchi was ambushed and stabbed in the back and neck while walking near a homeless encampment at 401 South Wacker at around 3:35 p.m. Police said witnesses told them the assailant was a homeless "slim black male with long dreadlocks who wore a red bandana and a blue tank top," CWB Chicago reported.

Every last media outlet appears to have hid the suspect's description in accordance with their new rules against "amplifying narratives that connect Black and brown communities to crime" but CWB Chicago reported it straight.

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot said Monday that police know the man who fatally stabbed her and are "scouring the various homeless encampments downtown" to find him.

While speaking with CBS 2 Chicago, Chicago Police Superintendent David Brown expressed bafflement that Kimchi would walk on such an "obscure route" which only leads to a freeway and an underpass with a homeless encampment.

Given her field, one can imagine she may have purposefully gone to the encampment to see first hand the horrible oppression that "white supremacist America" was subjecting these disadvantaged, underprivileged victims of white supremacy to due to no fault of their own.

Unfortunately, Kimchi learned the hard way that such liberal notions are entirely based on manufactured media lies.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and predict that if/when the assailant is caught we're going to learn he had a lengthy criminal record and rather than us finding an "overcharged victim of white supremacy" we're going to find a criminally insane homeless man who was shown incredible leniency by what we're told is our "systemically racist criminal justice system."

Jacksonville couple participated in sex trafficking of child, used money for drugs, says DOJ

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A Jacksonville husband and wife have both plead guilty for their role in the sex trafficking of a child in exchange for illegal drugs.

Samuel Christopher Templeman, 46, has pleaded guilty to conspiring to sex traffic a child. His wife, Deborah Lynn Templeman, 50, has pleaded guilty to possession of child sex abuse material, according to court documents.

In 2018, investigators say Samuel Templeman and the victim began regularly using heroin and crack cocaine together. Around that time, a pimp began asking the child victim to engage in various sexual acts in exchange for drugs, according to the plea agreements.

In July 2019, a court terminated the Templemans’ custodial rights over the victim and ordered them not to have any contact with the child. The child was then placed in foster care, from which investigators say the child ran away.

A month later, Samuel Templeman received a sizable inheritance, which the Templemans used to lure the child back. By mid-October 2019, court documents reveal the Templemans had spent all the money, primarily on drugs for Samuel Templeman and the victim.

According to federal investigators, once the inheritance was gone, the couple again began sex trafficking the child. The Templemans’ spent most of that money on drugs and the rest on living expenses.

In December 2019, a detective from the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office went to Deborah Templeman’s job to in an attempt to locate the victim. The detective overheard phone conversations in which Samuel Templeman told his wife that he was taking the victim on a “date,” a common slang term for an appointment for the child to perform sex acts in exchange for money.

When Samuel Templeman later arrived at Deborah Templeman’s workplace, he was taken into custody and the child victim was rescued.

Investigators say Samuel Templeman faces a maximum penalty of life in federal prison, and his wife faces a maximum penalty of 10 years in federal prison. A sentencing date for the couple has not yet been set.

Ukraine imposes sanctions on two business tycoons with ties to Rudy Giuliani

Ukraine imposed a “full package of sanctions” on tycoons Dmytro Firtash — accused of selling titanium products to Russian military enterprises — and Pavel Fuks, alleged to have stolen millions from the country.

Firtash’s sanctions are meant to penalize his “involvement in the titanium business,” the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Oleksiy Danilov, said in a press briefing. The reason for implementing sanctions on Fuks has not yet been announced and what exactly the sanctions entail will be announced in a subsequent presidential decree.

Reuters reported that Firtash’s U.S. lawyer, Lanny Davis, said on Monday that his client “categorically denies the allegations, which he says are wrong.”

Firtash made his fortune trading natural gas after the collapse of the Soviet Union, setting up a venture in 2004 with Gazprom, a Russian company, to import natural gas from Central Asia to Ukraine.

Allegedly springboarding off of connections to Russian organized crime boss Semyon Mogilevich, Firtash’s assets grew rapidly and allowed him to wield considerable political influence during the administration of ousted president Viktor Yanukovych.

He was arrested in Austria in 2014, where he still resides, after the U.S. Department of Justice indicted him in an international racketeering conspiracy involving bribes of Indian government officials to permit titanium mining. Extradition proceedings have been dragging on for years.

Congressional lawmakers in the U.S. pressed on Tuesday Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Attorney General Merrick Garland to force Austria to extradite Firtash, suggesting that the tycoon may have corrupted Austrian officials.

"We are concerned that Mr. Firtash has used his considerable wealth and malign influence to subvert that country’s legal system to evade extradition and the rule of law," said the letter Democrats Marcy Kaptur and Mike Quigley and Republicans Brian Fitzpatrick and Andy Harris wrote, according to Radio Free Europe.

Firtash has also made headlines for his ties to the discredited political consultant Paul Manafort and former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani, both of whom are closely affiliated with the former U.S. president Donald Trump.

The other tycoon, Pavel Fuks, is a wealthy real estate developer who was charged by Moscow in 2019 in absentia in an embezzlement case and who had been described by Al Jazeera’s Investigative Unit as an Ukrainian oligarch who illegally traded frozen assets linked to former President Victor Yanukovich who had syphoned at least $1.5bn from the country before his removal in 2014.

After having tracked down some of the money in Cyprus, Ukraine requested the assets to be frozen. However, Fuks purchased $US160 million of those frozen assets.

Fuks has also rubbed shoulders with Giuliani and Trump. In 2018, he had hired Giuliani as a consultant for a project in the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv, and had discussed a licensing deal with Trump for a Trump tower in Moscow more than a decade prior.

Former governor of Mexico’s 3rd largest state sent to prison for money laundering following ICE HSI investigation

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – A former governor of Mexico’s third largest state was sentenced to three years in federal prison Wednesday in the Southern District of Texas for his role in a money laundering scheme that includes offenses against a foreign nation involving bribery of a public official.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) in Corpus Christi, Texas, conducted the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF) investigation along with several other federal agencies including the FBI, Drug Enforcement Administration, IRS - Criminal Investigation and U.S. Marshals Service.

Jorge Juan Torres-Lopez, 67, a former interim governor of Coahuila, Mexico, pleaded guilty to the charges on June 16, 2020. Not a U.S. citizen, he is expected to face removal proceedings following his imprisonment. At a previous hearing, the court heard additional evidence from two witnesses who described their relationship with Torres-Lopez and detailed some of the financial transactions and illegal payments.

Torres-Lopez worked for the Mexican government from 1994 to 2011. His roles included general director of promotion and development while secretary of finance for the state of Coahuila, municipal president of Saltillo and interim governor of Coahuila.

Torres-Lopez admitted that during some of his time in office, he conducted financial transactions in the U.S. to conceal the bribes he received in return for road-building contracts for the state of Coahuila. As part of his plea, he agreed to forfeit a piece of property in the U.S. associated with the payments.

Law enforcement took Torres-Lopez into custody in Mexico on Feb. 5, 2019, where he remained until his extradition to the U.S. on Oct. 29, 2019. He will remain in custody pending transfer to a U.S. Bureau of Prisons facility to be determined in the near future.

The Prosecutor General of the Republic of Mexico and the Department of Justice’s Office of International Affairs of the Department’s Criminal Division assisted in this investigation. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Jon Muschenheim and Lance A. Watt prosecuted the case.

QAnon Couple Featured In VICE Documentaries Arrested For Role In Capitol Riot

A Florida couple was arrested today for crimes related to the breach of the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6.

Jamie Buteau, 48, and Jennifer Buteau, 44, both of Ocala, are charged with federal offenses that include disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds and parading, demonstrating or picketing in a Capitol building, among other charges. Jamie Buteau is additionally charged with obstruction of law enforcement during civil disorder; assaulting, resisting or impeding certain officers or employees; and engaging in physical violence on Capitol grounds.

According to court documents, the Buteaus entered the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 around 2:25 p.m. through a broken door in the Senate wing of the building and stood near an elevator lobby between the Crypt and the Capitol Visitor Center (CVC). As depicted in U.S. Capitol Police (USCP) closed-circuit television video footage and video obtained from social media, Jamie Buteau threw a chair at two USCP officers around 2:30 p.m. From around 2:32 to 2:39 p.m., Jamie was in the orientation lobby where he was captured on video dragging another chair across the ground. The couple exited the Capitol around 2:46 p.m. through the south door.

The Buteau’s, QAnon believers, appeared in a VICE documentary in 2018.
