one problem worldwide might be Trump's Sept 2018 EO … Donald probably trusted that his aides were patriots and just read the firs paragraph that stated the foreign meddling didn't decide the results of the 2016 election … later in the EO it orders sanctions and punishments for "foreign actors" who raise doubts on the honesty and integrity of the US voting … if foreign media reports that there is evidence of fraud they might get their assets freezed or they got taken off line like PressTV… so in EU every media just tells Trump is a liar, like the US liberal media says
