The best way I can explain it quickly is this: The spiritual world involved the relationships between things. A few of these relationships we have come to understand, but the vast majority are still unknown. That said, not everyone understands the same relationships as everyone else. When someone exploits a relationship that you don't understand, to trick you into accepting something that you would not accept, if you understood it, that is what I would call a spiritual attack. One of the best examples I can think of is the climate change narrative. Unless you understand how science is funded, it can appear to be a huge deal when you hear "97% of climate experts agree that global warming is destroying the planet."
Really, spirits and information are two sides of the same coin.
