Nothing would surprise me anymore!
As a child, the kids from single moms would receive free lunch tickets, one for each school day of the month. Well, guess what, every day those kids would swap the ticket for some other kids’ money that their mom had sent them with, to buy lunch. Then the kid would beg a few tots off everyone’s tray, and walk off a $1.25 richer each day. They start early.
Probably. One kid used the money to bribe some guy at the Tom Thumb for smokes. In third grade! Different upbringing from mine in all ways. I often wonder what happened to him.
Excellent reminder anon. :)
