Small plane with 3 onboard crashes in Napa County vineyard
A small plane carrying three people crashed in a vineyard near Angwin Airport in Napa County and caught fire Friday morning, authorities said.
The condition of the pilot and two passengers has not yet been released.
The single-engine Beechcraft Bonzanza had “clipped trees while the pilot was trying to execute a missed approach” at the airport around 8:40 a.m., a Federal Aviation Administration spokesperson said.
The FAA and National Transportation Safety Board will investigate the crash.
The Napa County Sheriff’s Office said that it was also at the scene along with officials from Cal Fire, the FAA and NTSB.
