You've been programmed to believe that if you didn't live up to the illusory perfection of Christ then you failed.

 

You accept the premise that what he said IS perfect and therefore any deviation must, by definition, be less than perfect.

That's the way I interpret. Executions should be carried out dispassionate to remove these creatures from a position of ever harming anyone else again. Once they are gone, "forgiveness" means instead not granting them even a hint of relevance in our minds.

 

Gets tricky from there, as we can never forget and have to teach future generations, but out in the future we need to finally strive for "genuine life".
