Maybe you need to focus on lawyer shit and stop trying to merge politics with your brand of conservatism and religious perspective. Your shift to define conservatism to run away from the reason to disinvite views of those that challenge yours and Kirk's isn't a defense on the premise that it's your most important stance to the furtherance of this nation; because it isn't. Your shift to define conservatism is an attempt to brand yourself as the voice of conservatism in the way you seek to mold it.
This is disingenuous and quite frankly, a bit shocking from someone that's at least smart enough to realize you are going to get called out on this nonsense. Conservatives are Buddhists, Muslim, Hindi, Secular, Atheist, Christian, Jewish, rich, poor, all colors, all creeds, and all those that seek to preserve a way of life that has a future for all. I'm a conservative, and my view is that you are fucking it up, quite frankly, for the rest of us. How will you handle views that challenge yours if those views aren't up for debate in the public square?

Yeah, OK. That's just more confirmation that it's a made up term to give two groups of people a special feel-good over the ownership of morality. Morality belongs to all those that live in the republic that was established years before their exclusive ideological point of view started claiming ownership over it. These self-righteous types are always doing everything in their power to establish dominance over your thinking, and push their agendas to the front of your to-do list like a helicopter parent. We are all flawed, and many/most are trying, each day, to be better people. This has literally been since the beginning of time; 1000s of years B.C., even.
It's not like we don't have laws to address all that. What we've learned through this is that the law has been subverted. All we need to do is follow the law again, and shit goes back to normal. Then we can forget about all these actors causing disingenuous distractions, and start having some real conversations about how to improve the human condition by focusing on how we best work together instead of dividing everyone into balkanized ideological battlegrounds.
